What I found was VTS0_01_0.IFO, Is that the same.? When I down loaded AVI4YOU I came up with ver 8 and not 6. You might want to slow down and give more detail.

Is it possible for this to work when the converter tells me the dvd has read only files or something like that on it? I am trying to use the school dvd for my son's football footage last year and post it to youtube. I have ask the coach a few times, but he doesnt seem to know how to do it either. Can I get this dvd to change from a read only file?

I Followed this and was able to upload fine. But I don't know what codecs YOU are able to get that most of us aren't able to get-but I couldn't import it to WMM despite all the trouble shooting (tools>options>filters> and also automatically downloading codecs.  I went to microsoft and downloaded the codec pack-that didn't work. I uninstalled AVS a couple times and reinstalled. Whatever-I'm done with it. I gave it a 1 star because with AVS I cannot import to wmm to edit.

the water mark goes away after a minute. btw i had it set at avi and it came out as an audio file but then it tryed a wmv and it worked fine. ill just have to recored for an extra minute before i start the important stuff

idk but it does take a while it took like maybe around a hour to convert a 30 min disk. but its different for different computers
