Whatever you do bro, please don't put 22s on it and turn it into a hood-mobile. It looks beautiful just the way it is. You have one of the nicest Caprice Broughams around.
@88BroughamLS You wouldn't but I'm just saying. Keep the Brougham clean and classy! I want to cry everytime I see a Caprice on 22s with neon green paint.
@GentlemanHES Well it does take the whole purpose of having one of these cars! For the ride and and comfort, you can't have that with 22s and neon paint and yes a dumb paint would make me unconfortable!!!
your thermac air cleaner door works!! Mine has been stuck open for the past 3 years. Btw that clicking is the mixture control solenoid cycling not the electric choke. If you disconnect the electric choke you will get a buzz though. Anyways, sorry to hear that you got side swiped. Where did you get the mounting kit for the radio?
Hey, I was thinking of you as I was watching this video. watch?v=fcgTeDXYfTQ. The cars in this video are '89 models but it predominately concentrates on the Brougham LS & is well worth a look!!!! Enjoy & comment back!!!!!!
I got the same idle problem man. Even after a rebuilt carb it still runs like shit at idle. I replaced all the vacuum hoses with new hose. I also replaced all those piece of crap plastic vacuum hoses with rubber hose. I don't know what to do...maybe the carb needs an adjustment..can't figure it out. I hate those plastic vacuum lines...what the hell was GM thinking when using thoseplastic lines? 50% of them were broke off on me after just trying to move em around haha.
From 4:13-4:27 is probably the most beautiful chime that you have ever had in this car!!! It truly brings out the luxury feeling!!!!!! Where did you get it?!!
I have fond memories of Caprices like that and the Caprice Estate wagons from the late 70s till the late 80s growing up as a kid. At that time, they were classy cars, as they age, they just become sweeter with age.
Sorry to hear about the hit and run, guess some people just suck at life (300M owner).
Cool vid man. Hey here in Phoenix I know a guy that does the headliner for 80 bucks leaves it like brand new. You just have to tell him what color you want and he will do it. He did my caprice about 2 months ago. Oh and that's labor and material, I think it's really cheap because I have heard of it runing about 140 to 150.
@raptor750r, yeah i thought that was a Good idea too. I remember he was so excited when he put them on, that he called to tell me about it. They match there for sure i like it. -BOGAR!
Why couldn't it be a tiny ass Jap box on wheels hiting it instead of a luxury muscle sedan (why hit it at all). I had small screams wen I saw it, almost like when I see someone wreck such classics in derbys, Im sorry man.
Just any hit & run like that is enough to send me through the roof, but done by a fucking Chrysler 300?? that would make me go Charles Manson on his ass o.O!!!! (I hate those 300's if ya couldn't tell already)
@JakeDaSnakeFilms, i know what you mean Jacob. I dont like 300's either. But Pauls Caprice is awesome and he did an EXCELLENT job with his video fo sho!!
thats not good that the vynal top is cracking, do u use anything on it?
great job with the tinted windows, i rmember ur first videos u had that purplish coloured one lol
did u replace the armrest thing ont he door? i rmembe rit was falling off.
that sucks about the headlioner coming off, i know if you touch it it gets worse. i was told replacing a headliner runs about 200 dollars "i heard" but that could jsut be the liner not labour :S
I did, could you tell in the video? I forgot to mention it. I know what you mean about the Chrysler 300s too. They are completely ugly pieces of crap. Shoulda seen his car though LOL.
Thats one of my favorite videos you've made. The Beggining Editing is 10 stars....but i can only give u 5, LOL. The exaust sounds awesome at the end, it really sounds like its got alot of Muscle. Good Job! -BOGAR!
thats to bead about your ride hopefully that other driver will learn his lesson soon haha and that saggin head liner you see on most caprice and lesabre and regals and pariseanne not nothin new haha
Actually it happens to all headliner cars eventually. But in 80's cars they were notorious for that happening. The problem was mostly with the foam quality.
@randomrazr, well im not sure which of my 3 Cadillacs your refering to but.....In my New Deville, well of coarse its Prestine condition. In my 1990 Brougham....I am replacing it this weekend. And in my 1991 Brougham.....Its in very Good Condition. In my Buick ......i replaced myself in the year 2000 and my work is still holding up Good 'N' Strong. And no problems in my other rides either! Thanks for asking Allen. -BOGAR!

i thought it was because the glue just fails over time

@randomrazr, no allen, the problem is the foam...it just deteriorates. The stuff you buy now to replace it with is alot better. -BOGAR!
