@Samuel24842 basically, after you only live twice, connery decided to quit the role. so they got lazenby to play james bond in on her majestys secret service. then, after it was realesed, critics didnt like him coz he wasnt sean connery! so in the next one, they paid connery £2 million to come back insted of them hiring lazenby.

@vultureqn2 I wish they could make them more often like they used to too, but it wasn't always like that. I'd say that on average, a James Bond movie was released every two years, sometimes three. The release of the films was especially fast during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, but got slower after 1989. GoldenEye was released about five years after Licence to Kill, and that was the longest Bond movie waiting ever. Thankfully, we have one coming out this year; Skyfall.

I like the unexpected style of the gun barrel in Casino Royale, well incorporated there works well really like it. But yeah his Quantum of Solace one is pretty shabby...I suppose it's down to the one you grew up with and recognise the most, for me it was Pierce Brosnan. Though I like Sean Connery and Roger Moore was pretty good.

Also, I think that the electric guitar is essential in the Bond theme. The trumpets or violins or whatever aren't exciting or cool (minus FYEO. The cowbell makes up for it). I think Moonraker sounds like poop. , and TSWLM had some cool music(the ending when it pans to the submarine had an awesome sound)

I hope to GOD they go back to the gun barrel sequence in the beginning of Skyfall. If they do, I'd be so freaking excited. It's that traditional beginning that pumps you up for the film!

2. License to Kill. I personally think Dalton has a good pose, and the music is straight up B.A.

3. Goldeneye. Simple with the cold Goldeneye theme music. Pierce has VERY smooth form.

4. Live and Let Die. Moore poses well, music is pretty awesome.

5. Dr. No. Gotta love the fedora, Bob's leap, and the lead in to the main titles. Exciting.

Craig is OVERRATED! Lazenby was interesting with the knee. Connery looked like he was about to fall over.

Sean Connery shoots, and misses! Too far left. Lazenby more belivable but seems slightly camp. Moore, good stance and believable but appears to be shooting at ones right shoulder instead of the heart. Dalton good all round and seems to be hitting his target. Pierce, a break from the norm but makes it work. Daniel Craig in Quantum of Solace, what is this crap? Storms on like he can't be bothered to be suave then fires straight over your head. Big end gone.

Moore's first two look the least awkward, like he's actually handled a gun. It's interesting to hear the key changes in the music between the years, and the different tempos. The music speeds up quite a bit when it gets to 'A View to a Kill' then slows down again for the Dalton film that follows.

@nakedmambo I agree on Moore. His kind of turnaround looks like it would be the fastest at getting the gun to point at the would-be assassin. It also uses the least movement and the gun is moved and shot from Bond's black-suited body, so it would take the assassin a longer time to realize the danger than with the other moves.

It is when they got to Pierce Brosnan that things started to look more technical, as you can tell from the music. Not to mention, Brosnan was the 1st actor to star in the 007 videogames. See, this is why I claim Brosnan to be the definate James Bond. His intros were much better. Smooth, solid, normal speed. Goldeneye is the best one compared to the other ones as far as I know. What an impressive debut.

i think that casino royales was acceptable for a gunbarrel because it was a reboot but i don't really like it, i like the style of the quantum of solace gunbarrel but it was at the end, all the others are great!

Sean Connery didnt appear in one til his 4th movie, then they used the same one for his other movies in which he wobbles in. Roger Moores first 2 dont look like hes ever shooting straight and then his other ones hes so slow surely hed have been assasinated. Timbo Daltons are pretty good, Pierces were good but why on earth I will never understand why in Die Another Day they made the bullet go down the chamber of the gun. DCs werent bad.. bit fast on the QOS but sure.

In the first three films, a stunt double was used instead of Sean Connery. Look at "Thunderball", much more graceful and look at that hesitating step before the shot! Beautiful!

Lazenby sure did a good walk and drop while turning with the gun. In the first film, or even the first two films, a stunt double did the walk instead of Sean Connery! Even though, in my opinion, Seans way of walking and moving is very graceful.
