@superherox7 They are relatively well known, but as for Space Channel 5, it was pretty overlooked on the PS2, and has been forgotten. Yakuza is decently known, but is still right under mainstream success. The PS3 sequels haven't gotten much attention either.

Great Great video. This is an awesome way to show off the crazy good PS2 library. There are a lot of games in the video that I need to get and play. I own a lot of games in this list too. The ones in the video that I own, have played, love, and also highly recommend to others are:

Amplitude, Contra: Shattered Soldier, Freedom Fighters, Frequency, Project: Snowblind, Rez, Sniper Elite, Tribes: Aerial Assault, and Urban Chaos: Riot Response

I have various of these games, BUT i sold my ps2 with all my 8000 games, cause the games were too repeating, and I think all the ps3 games are EXACTLY THE SAME PLAYABILITY like the ps2 games, that must be the reason cause SONY is spending and losing money with the ps3, besides Sony psn games are too slow including ps3 are too slow!!!!

Me and my brother tried out RAD the other day and omg. We were loling all over the place. Idk, it's just the way the robots fall down. They become stiff and just funny looking haha. Also if you jump awkwardly and waving your robots arms around is quite hilarious. We were trying to get used to the controls. But I'd say, it's one game I wish i didn't miss out on. it's quite good!

1) Airblade. Best game from my first ever PS2 demo.

2) Beat Down Fists Of Vengeance. Greatest use of the words "wanker" and "shite" ever.

3) Death By Degrees. Die hard Tekken fan, here folks.

4) God Hand. Simply epic...and hilarious

5) Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit. Ps2's Heavy Rain, what can I say?

6) KOF XI. Still my fav one in the series

7) NGBC. Mudman Vs Mars People, Cyber Woo Vs Kisarah - nuff said

8) Under The Skin. The Resi 3 levels had me crackin'!

@xCypres I enjoyed the game, but it is pretty tough. It requires perfect runs through the levels which can lead to some major frustration if you're the type who gives up easily.

@Doom2Guy Disgaea would have easily been on it, except it has gained in popularity so much recently, that I really can't call it underrated. It's well known, but it's not exactly mainstream either. It's kind of on the edge there somewhere.

@teh2Dgamer Quite. Alien hominid is one of the most downloaded XBLA games of 2009(Or i think that 2008...I don't remember). And what i meant was that every Newgrounds daily user would know about the game. But...Ur right on that the PS2 version...Not really much people had it.

@reggiardito They may have known about Alien Hominid on Newgrounds, but not necessarily the PS2, Xbox, or Gamecube versions. It may have been downloaded a lot, but you seem to forget that the downloadable market is still relatively small when compared to the traditional disk-based market. The developers have gotten more fame recently though with games like Castle Crashers, but Alien Hominid HD came out in 2007, and modern gamers tend to forget about games rather quickly.

On another not I just picked up God Hand for $6 almost new and it is a great game. The controls are kinda hard to get use to but it is well worth the money.

Awesome the majority of those games i never heard of. Except mobile light force 2 which is awesome and a few others. Not all of then looked good but some of them really caught my interest. I'll have to go through them again soon to remind me of which titles looked interesting.

The only glaring omissions in my opinion were Killer7 and Okami, I'd like to hear what you think of them. Well some of the games you put in this video are not underrated,at least in my country Cold winter got best ps2 fps of the year award and Area 51 was second or third,can't remember.These games got those awards basicly becouse there were not much good first person shoter relesed in 2005 and there are some other games which in my oppionion were not underrated but anyway it is a good list and ps2 is and always will be my favourite console.

@JackanapeS112 THere's the rewards a game gets, and then there's the overall attention a game gets from the entirety of the gaming public. Some games could have have cover stories in magazines, but when they hit for one reason or another, they just didn't take off amongst gamers as a whole. Winning, an award, and getting great review scores gets the games some attention, but it means nothing if no one buys it, and down the road, no one even remembers it even existed.
