The video had been edited and that 5 second part was removed.This was something I think he wanted to have forgotten. As for graphite, no lead pencils work here. The easiest thing to do is ask a music store, or look on ebay, look there for the roller bridge at the same time. You will see the difference just from the pictures. If you change to a roller bridge, you will have better sustain, and reduce breaking strings....

Gibson makes a few kinds of pickups. P90's are the single coils but then they tior to 490's 498's and a few in between. It just depends on the guitar and sound you are looking for. 500t's are usually what come on Flying V's because they have so much resistance, they produce more gain, and sustain. Of course the original PAF's are the most coveted. Just look it all up and you will get alot of info on what you want.

i know pickups have a major effect on tones of guitars and that i need seymour duncan pickups for slashs tone but do the tuners have anything to do with it? does anyone know if any peice of a guitar affects how long u can hold a note? cause i got a epiphone les paul model guitar and it came with grover tuners and who knows-what pickups and i got a pretty big line 6 amp

@cftsk8er I can go on and on about what you need, but duncans are one of the things I'd pass on. Get yourself a 500t and that will give you more sustain than you need. Also, change the nut to graphite, and the bridge to a roller style. You will see instant results.

@bababoomagh If you are into technique and speed then type asian guitar player into a seatch engine there's always some asian kid playin faster and cleaner than the guy before! But they never stand out like Slash, how many non musicians can whistle a Slash solo? I bet there's a lot! That alone qualifies him as one of the best guitarists in the world. He's got great tone and great musicality in his solo's. It's not all about technique!

@bababoomagh Fair enough, everyone has an opinion and yes all the guys you listed are really gifted players but if you apply the same logic and compare them to Jimi Hendrix or Gilmour etc,etc you could argue the same point but I think we can all agree they are great musicians also. The point I'm making is we are not comparing like with like. Slash with G'N'R has outsold all those guys combined however in a playoff sure they would outplay him but it's not all about technique.

really? i got a new sg g-400 but i changed the stock pups to a 59' gfs in the neck and a crunchy paf in the bridge, added ernie balls, and replaced the pickguard to black pearl... but i dunno what tuners it uses honestly i never have problems with my tuners because i string them nicely but they do get out of tune from pinch harmonics etc....

his solo in Vocalise is very easy(for me),to hear the exactly chord progression in the song is much harder to hear,but I mean exactly every NOTE in every chord,rachmaninoff has very difficult stuff to play..his Vocalise solo is beuatifull I can listen to it the all day,its very nice too when you improv on that chord progression when you just play with the notes..try it I do that ;)...slashs solos are not so hard to play, but all of his solos from the slowest to the fastest.they are soo BEUATIFUL
