    ebay.com.au/itm/Meinl-Lazer-Crash-and-Ride-Pasite-PST5-Crash-And-China

contact me through my youtube for more information thanks

  • Paiste 16 crash sounds great!

  • @MalignantSelfLove 502 or PST 5?

  • Not good sound :S Your cam is not good for that.

If you want to hear a Paiste pst5 18" Rock crash check my videos.

  • Comment removed

  • the pst5 after some of the hell of the shit of beating them, they start to sound fuckin awesome!

  • PST 5 > Alpha

  • before you watch!!!!!!! turn the volume way up and close your eyes!!!!1

  • @chokingoninsanity Where do you get your ingenuity from

  • Dam I'm getting that crash sounds better than zbt by far I thought paiste was high end? Pst5

  • CCHHRRRRRRiiiiiinngg...

  • paiste pst 5 rides, hi-hats and splashes are the best low end cymbals i have ever heard... I own wuhan s series cymbals and i have tried many things in this price range and i assure you that the pst 5 is awsome! I have never tried pst 5 crashes and chinas though...

  • try putting A custom hats, next to ZHT hats. 14 inch. almost identical

  • sounds like a fucking gun

  • Any other crash cymbal in the 100-130$ range that would go good with the PST5 16" Crash?

  • Gack !

  • I just picked up paiste pst3 13 inch hi hats and 18 inch crash ride (they were on sale in double pack for 80 bucks) and they are fucking incredible for the price I paid, I would have gladly paid at least 150 for each, they have an AMAZING sound for the price, and they do not dent at all even if I smack them as hard as I can go try them out they are great for the price

  • out of all the semi pro cymbals sabian b8's, b8 pros zildjian zbt zxt zht's and paiste pst3 pst5 the pst5's are your best bang for your buck. just go out and test them at a guitar center. zht's are overpriced to be honest. now zildjian A customs are my dream cymbals. but for now pst5's will do :)

  • Woa those cymbals dont sound like that, your cam really dont picks up the good things :( I have them myself and they really sound different

  • Yea this was using the onboard mic, which didn't sound outstanding. My other cymbal demo uses real condensers an i think they sound much better.

  • you obviously havent looked very hard. any upper range lines are amazing

  • Wow! I like the 16" Thin!

  • Well duh ZBT blows and so does the custom z :/ im just no liking zildjians cymbals :/

  • i hated to zbt crash, they are $60 for a reason. you get 2 seconds of crash sound then 2 minutes of overpowering overtones. im planning on buying the pst5s, hope those are better

  • get some S8's or B8's

  • the first hit of the video scared the crap out of me. just came out of no where! lol

  • how much were they /?

  • wich one is better a pasite pst 5 or a zildjian zbt (ride)

  • PST 5, by a looong shot. I've owned a ZBT 16" crash and splash and there's no contest, the ZBT's are absolute shit.

  • the pst5 are bronze right?

    zbt's are not, they're brass?

  • @mikeMX3000 i agree with you all the way. Although drummers at my school think ZBT are better than pst5, but these are kids that have never touched any other cymbal besides Zildjian. personal i think Paiste's are so much better Zildjian's.

  • I hated the ZBT rock ride, but most of the other ZBTs aren't that bad.

  • the hi hat and crash are decent enough the ride is ok.

  • Pst5

  • they both suck.

  • zildjian ,, i just got it today ,, yes more expensive,, but litrilly sound OWNAGE man !!

  • @SeBaFoRtHeWiN definetely the paiste 1 i have the zbt ride and eventually got a new 1 and put rivets in my zbt ride and it still sounds like crap

  • @SeBaFoRtHeWiN I'd go with the PST5s too. They actually sound pretty decent. I think better than the alphas even.

  • @musicajuro dude , i asked that 2 years ago. lmfao,

  • If u move that 14" further away from the wall u will get an even better sound.

  • The setup in this video is actually very old and my current one is much different. The 14" in my current is dead center, right above toms 10 & 12.

  • "even better"? even better than.... SHIT?!?

  • i took my paiste pst5 14" thin crash and put it on top of my sabian b8 pro top high hat and it sounded amazing!

    makeshift hats, lol

  • haha thats sick!

  • Paiste sound technology

  • I think i will stick with the zildjian

  • what is the best cymbals-paiste pst5, paiste alpha,Zildjian zht, or saibian b8 pro?

for the best sound, value for money etc

  • haha way to ask for advice then just pretty much say, fuck it

  • wow, that sucks.

  • thats not true, i have sabian AA's and i really like pst5's

  • paiste is paiste!awesome!

  • pretty nice for entry level cymbals ehh?

  • 505!

  • The 505 is superior! The 18" 505 CRASH and 20" 505 MEDIUM are outstanding as well!

  • honestly i really dont like psts....

    like the sound thats all

  • PST 5!!!

  • the reason why I like the Paiste PST 5 better than the Paiste PST 3, is because the sound you get when you first hit. Also PST 5 are made of the same high-grade bronze alloy as it's professional class. PST 3, is made from brass copper based alloy, which doesn't give as warm and rich sound as bronze does. PST 5, all the way:)

  • PST3 is shit not even worth time. Pst5 is much better, but real Paiste starts with New Alpha series, which i recommend, cause it's great :)

  • i prefere the pst3 crashes, other than that, ps5 is a ton better than pst3 obviously

  • I have to ask, is Pst 3 to Paiste what B8 and ZBT are to Zildjian and Sabian, since the Pst's seem higher quality, just in comparison.

  • Honestly, Pst 3, are much better than the B8 and ZBTs. The only down fall is that the PST 3's are made of brass, as were B8's and ZBT's are made of sheet bronze. I prefer and recommend PST 5 cymbals. They are made of bronze alloy, which is also used to make their professional class cymbals. PST 3 and PST 5 sound similar, but PST 5 is louder and more defined than the PST 3's.

  • That's what I figured (though I was slightly too poor to get a Pst 5 ride, so I just went with the Pst 3 anyway; it sounds fine for my purposes). I mean, I knew that Pst 3s were higher quality than ZBTs and B8s, but I wondered if they were still considered equal in terms of status. Thanks.

  • yeah, the ZBTS are so bright. i agree in order PST3 B8 ZBT

  • I think B8s are under ZBTs. I've got the ZBT hats and crash/ride (used solely as a crash), and I got a 14" B8 Thin Crash for comparison, and they blew it out of the water. I replaced for a bigger, thicker, B8 Pro, which still gets on my nerves. The B8 was insanely bright, like a friqqin splash, it was horrible. I couldn't bear to listen to the sound for more than a day for fear that my ears would start bleeding.

  • @pimpinman4eva zbts suck, but b8s sound wayyyy better than these.

for me it would be in this order

    b8

    pst5

    meinl mcs.

  • @Ggevorkyan Idk, it's all really personal preference, I shop and buy to satisfy the sound that I like. I will agree that ZBTs suck, but I like the sound of PST5 over B8s.

  • @ThisTimeTuesdayNY actually, its more of a tie for me between b8's and pst5.

but im fine with my HHX's

  • @Ggevorkyan HHX's are beautiful, they don't even compare! lol

  • @pimpinman4eva you got that pretty damn strait.

  • And yes, the PST 3 are to Paiste, as the B8 are to sabian and ZBT are to ziljian. PST 3 are the lowest, most beginner cymbals Paiste offers, as the B8's and ZBT's.

  • Zildjian**

  • actually 101 series is the lowest it offers

    101

    201

    pst3

    pst5

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, I know now that the PST 3 are to Paiste what Solar is to Sabian and Planet Z is to Zildjian.

  • no, 101 Brass is in the range of Sabian's Solar or Zildjian Planet Z.

PST3 are maybe in the range of B8 of Sabian or ZBT of Zildjian. Also PST3 are made of Brass, instead of Sabian B8 and Zildjian ZBT, so they are cheaper and very good sounding.

  • The fact that PST 3 are made of brass puts them down with the 101s imo. They sound pretty damn bad.

  • no nocturnezero, your wrong. pst3 is to high quality. try pst502, or pst101. maybe those are to solar and planetz

  • Pst3 are made of the same metal as Solar and Planet Z and with the same technological processes. And all three brands suck equally. 101s are just as bad. 502s are bronze.

  • I thought it was...

    101

    pst3

    201

    pst5...

  • Comment removed

  • Precisely.

  • for me and many other people PST3 are better than new ZBT and 101, even though they are made of brass, Paiste is known of good production and manipulaton of the metals, just see the 2oo2 lines, they are professional level and are made of B8, same of Sabian's entry level B8 or B8pro

  • Exactly but the 2002's sound AMAZING! I couldnt believe it when I found out they were B8, but I think its because they are cast B8 and not sheet and also the metal manipulation like you said.

  • i really like the first cymbal. i got it self. i got a Paiste Pst5 18" Rock crash. wery deep. i also got a 14" Paiste Alpha hi-hat. i really love it. and i got a 18" Sabian Hxx Crash/Ride..

  • PST5's Are Cool... Cobus Makes Them Even Awesomer lol...

  • good cymbals i like the pst3's though, a good cheaper option but pst5s sound the same but are just louder

  • the pst3s are good cymbals but pst5s are louder

  • i have a 16in pst5 thin crash. i like it alot. the others i have are the pst3 crash/ride and hi-hat.

  • hmmmmmm.......

maybe mine were just manufactured messed up, idk really cause other than mine I've never seen them anywhere else. i only had the 13" hats and 18" crash/ride, and i usually like crash/rides, but the one i got in the pack just sounded horrible, kinda like those cymbals that come with a walmart brand drumset, but i guess its possible it got messed up in the making.

  • Why no PST5 20" ride?

I have one of those and they're indestructible.

  • Got a 2002 instead. Also indestructible ;)

  • i have the pst 5

  • The 505 was decent, but the PST 5's are always my favorite. You can't beat that for the price.

  • exellent kit de cymballes

  • I have PST5s. My friend has 3s.I couldn't believe the difference! The volume alone. I used a mixture live once and i couldn't hear the PST3s. PST5s, for their price must be the best cymbal. I only got them because they seemed a decent brand. I had never heard of them and it was a great buy!

  • most of us though play a bass beat along with the cymbal

  • Well right, generally a cymbal sounds much better with a bass punch below it. This is only a demo so I didn't bother. And, when I made this, I didn't have a mic kit.

  • No problem my man. They sound great, just messin wit ya. Seriously, thanks for the sound test. Reading reviews helps other drummers out, but sound tests are the best to let the fellows know what to expect. Rock On

  • I only buy Paiste ^_^

    I like Paiste Alpha

  • Even Paiste's cheap cymbals sound good. I use two 101 crashes on my kit.

  • pst5 better than 505... simply he have bigger sustain.

  • thank you very much dude, you inspired me what cymbals i have to buy ^^ i only have paiste cymbals of the 101, the 201, the pst3 and the alpha series, but now i know that pst5-cymbals sounds FUCKIN GREAT!!

  • The Paiste Pst 5 cymbals are very nice! i play them too(14" hi hat 14" crash" 16" crash 10" splash 20" ride and a paiste alpha 16" china)..some pst 5 cymbals are even better than alphas! for example the 10" splash. only two things are bad: the bell of the medium ride and the chinas. but you wont find anything that sounds so good for this low price

  • REally? You are referring to the ride bell on the PST5? I wasn't sure about the PST5 ride...what's so bad about its bell?

  • the 14 inch thin crash sounds really really nice.

  • i have a pst5 14" thin crash...very unique sound

  • cheers dude

  • amazing sound!!! kick ass sound!!! nice cymbals!!!

  • year i have played em before but them paiste sound way better just wonderd what you thought

  • are paiste 5s better than sabian b8s?

  • I couldnt tell you never played B8s

  • sorry that was a little unclear - i mean "i couldn't tell you, i've never played B8s

  • Yeah, B8 Pros are a little better than 'em. If you're gonna get paiste, make sure all of your shit is over $100. I find that anything they make that's sold for $100 or less is terrible quality. I actually had a cymbal crack within a week.

  • all the pst 5 cymbals series under 100$ or not are actually pretty nice they are all made in Germany

  • true, i really hate pst3's, i bought some when i first started playing and they sounded terrible.

    hope this helps.

  • thats funny because i absolutely love my pst3 hats. not as much as my pst5 stuff but i dont think the pst3s sound terrible at all

  • yes

  • they're both made of CuSn8 bronze, but Paiste has mastered the way they make cymbals, so my ears tend to like pst5 and 2oo2's the most especially the 2oo2 medium ride.

    Peace.

  • pst 5 all the way lol

  • smallest crash is alright

  • Pst5's are only around 120 for a crash which is cheap compared to a good Zildjian or Sabian, so are these a cheaper line of Paiste, or are they good?

  • considered more intermediate than entry level

  • they are the cheaper line, but they sount much better. you'l get more out of cheap paiste than you will with a cheap zildjian. plus they don't crack as easily and can take a real beating

  • Very correct. I had a 10" Zild ZBT, sounded like shit.. my Paiste 10" PST5 is waaay on the other end of the spectrum. I think it could pass as a member of any 'ole intermediate/advanced line of any company.

  • And PST5's are the bottom of intermediate, their 101 /201 / PST3's are the real beginner series.

  • dang cant wait till i get the PST5 crash, i went with the PST5 14' hi-hats instead at the time, and they sound realy nice

  • do you think that a pst 5 8" splash is a good buy or maybe a 10"??

  • I have the 10'' and it's a terrific cymbal for the price. I think mine was around 40 dollars.

  • ooo same mine was $40 and its a great splash

  • I actually just got the 8" and I love it. So it's your preference. Both ways are great.

  • They sound terrific for being cheaper cymbals! I might buy a 16'' PST5 Medium Crash!

  • holy shit i have exactly the same one like that first cymbal!!

  • yes i also have the paiste pst6 16" medium crash like it!

  • I want to try paiste pst5 series and alpha. Anybody give me any advice? Are they good? For live? Or studio?

  • i think for live they are better

  • dont buy the pst 5 thin 16 crash get the medium im disappionted in my 16 thin the medium sounds better

  • Yeah I gotta say that the med did sound a little richer

  • Stagg is the best!!!!

  • HAHAHAAHAHAHahahahahahahah....

    you cant be serious

  • no hes serious. a stagg rep went into a shop in my area and asked the man in the shop to get out the best ride he had in the shop and play it agaisnt the top of the range stagg ride. the stagg ride outperformed and sounded way better than this other ride (it was a zildjian ride probs one of the custom series) the stagg rep said i lied to you. that stagg ride is the bottom of the range.

they last longer (for hard players)

they sound better, but tbh i wudnt want stagg writen all over my cymbals

  • in all fairnes, stagg do some pretty nice cymbals at a 3rd of what zildjian or sabian do

    and there all hand made

  • I love the sound of the Pst 5 16" crash, and it's ridiculously cheap, but nowhere around here gets Paiste at all.

  • what do you guys recomend for me to get with my 16" Zildjian K.. i've been thinking of getting 16" PST 5 Medium Thin...

  • i dont know man... k is really dark and warm while psts are really bright and cutting.

it might not work out, but who knows.. you gotta try it out for yourself.

    hope that helps.

  • pst 5 cymbals are nice, i have a 10" splash and a 16" thin crash...very nice

  • were did you buy all these???

  • noobers

  • one cymbal costs only about 100 E

    this isnt soo expensive

  • pst 5 universal kit is awesome.bright and crisp.and very lively cymbals!get them.they are way better than zildjians and sabians.

  • idiot

  • u are a big idiot men... it look like if u dont have any idea about cymbals specially about paiste.. big ignorant

  • Hey, I'm starting to teach my self drums and I need to get some cymbals, I am getting Paiste and my favourite drummer is Phil Rudd. What would be the best kind of cymbols to get to get his sound?

  • as far as i can see from photos of phils setup, he seems to play 2002s, but i can't tell what sizes or models i'm afraid. in any case, they are fantastic cymbals....a lot of money, but among the best there are.

  • 2002's are great. My ride is a heavy 2002.

  • if your beggining, dont worry about having the same sounding cymbals and buying the most expensive ones. Just buy a good starting kit and learn on that, once you learn how to play stuff, then add stuff to your kit.

  • paiste mf... no zildjian no sabian. the cymbals paiste are the best to get thst sound

  • check out my stay together for the kids drum cover tell me what you think!

    thanks

  • Hi! Very good video! It helps a lot to have a very good idea on the sound of the cymbals. I believe that the best way to have a concrete idea of the sound of the cymbals in order to make the decision to buy it to COMPARE sounds!

Can you please inform about the brand, model and series of the video camera that you used to make this video?

    Thank you very much.

  • PST is a great Paiste invention

  • But only PST 5 (I had once a 17" medium crash). PST3 sux really and are too expensive as for brass cymbals.

  • i liked the paiste 5's. those sounded pretty awesome!

  • mikeMX- by the way your cymbals tilt on their stands it looks like you should replace the sleeves so they don't get keyholed.

  • tin cans?...dude i have zildjians they sound nothing like pst's so sscreww u

    Augmen1

  • zildjian what? shitty zbts? psts are the best in their price range, and if you want even better sound you'd have to pay about twice as much.

  • for a fully machine made cymbal, these are some of the best out there, but hearing them in person is entirely different than here.

  • pst5's are great i they are only ones i buy =p

  • I have a Paiste 400 crash. It sounds identical to your PST5!

  • Yes, I am so happy with these babies. Nothing like those German engineers ;)
