@AnglesM888 True we are very lucky that we have those rights to own guns, It is really to bad that we are always being threatened of the chances of not having the option of owning them.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but I'd suggest deconning the mags and cleaning the followers really well. If you're using steel cased ammo the coating on them may be building up. A similar issue happened with my PSL and after a clean the mags ran flawless. Be sure to get under the feed lips too.
hi DEMCAD, love the vid as usual! A couple of suggestions, 1 reload your ammo. 2 you can get a better sight set (irons) for your akm, check out XPRESS sight systems a luminous front sight can sometimes work wonders. Also .22 rimfires are cheap and effective for practice, hunting and even self defense. Again I cannot stress getting into reloading your own ammo enough! That almost guarantees your supply during times of unrest when ammo sales might be banned. Also good trade wampum.
Like some other folks have already suggested to you, I would acquire a .22lr pistol and rifle. They are both cheap to operate. Ammo for the AK and .45ACP ammo can be costly. Trigger time is priceless.
Man, a lot of you on here sure do talk a lot of crap as if you came out of the womb as gods gift to shooting guns. The guy gets better every time he goes out and you never give credit where credit is due. If any of you would have talked to me before I became comfortable with my guns, I would have introduced your noses to to the stock of whatever gun was in my hand. In fact, let anyone one of you go shooting with me and let me give you a dose of your own smack.
Good to see your getting good practice in. Far to many buy guns, but never practice and somehow think they'll know how to use them when the time counts. Yeah, it's not cheap, but it needs to be done. Especially for those that aren't well versed with weapons. Good vid.
Demcad... Looks like fun, you should learn to bump fire your AK...I sent you a video on it...Its a blast and a AK does it about the easiest in 7.62 Great video !
With your AKM, you could always just pracitie stripping it down, and cleaning it. Also, learning all the parts and what makes it work. Just field strip it when you have some spare time on your hands.
That was a good fun video. I bought a Glock 21SF last month, it's a great gun. I would like to see a follow up video on cleaning your weapons after shooting them. Your brother in law needs to wear ear protection!
7:00 have you tried sighting in your AK from a bench rest to make sure that the sights are correct? Of course you'll need the sight adjustment tool.
AND... if you even make it as far south as Columbus, Ohio I can line you up with a Wolf distributor I know who can sell you 1,000 rounds of 7.62x39, Brown Bear ammo for about $220.
You need to shit-can that holster of yours and get into a blade-tech or blackhawk holster retention holster. Thumb break holsters are SO outdated!
Also, why on god's green earth do you keep re-holstering an empty weapon with the slide locked back? There is simply no excuse for all the sloppiness in this video.
You need to train like you will fight on the street. You get all these horrible techniques on display here engrained in your muscle memory, and you are screwed on the streets!
DEMCAD: when was the last time you had your prescription updated for your glasses? that could be part of the problem. Also, i noted you would take your time and hit the first couple cans and then get impatient and hose the rest of your rounds. (just an observation, i know it's not a competition or anything but something to keep in mind) Your grip on the pistol from what i could tell looked good, your stance looked good.. be aware of your breathing as well that can also throw off your shots.
@DEMCAD set up a portable table so you can use a bench rest, start @ 50 yds, then 100, then 150. The bench rest will let you know how accurate the rifle is. Slow down and don't be in a hurry, marksmanship will come. p.s. stop wasting ammo shooting a pistol @ 80 yards! Your maximum range should be 25 yards.
Dem, You should try a air soft gun. They are exactly the same gun and shoot six mm bb's. They run on propane and come looking and working the same as your real wepons. Be carefull when it comes to the BB's get good quality ammo, (extreemly smooth surface BB's don't jam your weapon like ones with a seam down the middle.) It is a cheap way to train at home in your nieborhood or any where else. You can also use them like paintball guns and do force on force trianing with friends.
Massive fun? How many times can you shoot a box before it becomes boring? Practising a skill is one thing, but if that's what you call fun, you need to get out more Reg.
you could start reloading ,though its another expence to get started, but once setup it is cheaper and a fun hobby in itself, would be glad to lend advice if interested.great vids reg...more prepping please...
@DEMCAD ,true true,i dont reload 7.62x39 and it is probably similar to 7.62x54r mil surp non reloadable, but 12ga super easy and cheap and 45 acp is a little more expensive for startup but well worth it once you're rolling.also the ability to reload could be a barterable skill in some situations.and i think you will see you've had your fun and learned a lesson on the wasr, looking into my crystal balls i see i see yes definitely an ar in your future.hehehe
You know what Reg, you need to SELL ALL YOUR GUNS RIGHT NOW! This is the 2nd time I've seen you in a vid pull the trigger with with no round in the chamber, & giggle like a dumbass with a stupid grin on your face. I hope that mistake doesn't cost you your life someday; hell I hope you don't end up shooting yourself like that dreadheaded moron DEA agent did in front a class full of students & then ask for ANOTHER 1! SELL THEM, SELL THEM NOW! Buy a sling shot & a machete, make an atlatl.
It's nice to get out and away for a bit, isn't it? I am usually too ill but if I don't make an effort fairly regularly, I get all . . . boxed in mentally, somehow. I never was a good shot with a gun. There's a good big shooting range near me and it would be fun to take some lessons on a borrowed gun from them with a trainer. I find it hard to take instruction in French but it's interesting. Archery, I am still good. Go figure! I think I just needed more time. Keep at it!
On the ammunition cost, you may want to get into cast lead bullet loading, get a .22lr conversion slide (advantage arms and tactical solutions both make some), and/or switch to 9mm; which is easier to shoot accurately with (for me, at least) and cheaper.
you definately need practice with that mossberg, but i will have to disagree with you on the ammo, now is the time to practice. ammo is cheap and easy to find/order, once you get better with it you will use less ammo. might be hard to find ammo for it when no one wants to give it up. a russian SKS would be a great addition for your collection as well, very cheap and durable firearm, accurate and easy to build onto.
@DEMCAD P.S. I wouldn't pay more than $60 to get that fixed and you may even get it done for half that. If your trigger is too stiff for you, that would be the time to get the trigger pull lightened up. Get some quotes and get that fixed.
@DEMCAD that is the action lever lock that is F'ed up on your 500. I'm betting a dollar to a doughnut you popped a spring in your trigger. This is a pretty complex trigger group and I would not recommend you take it out or mess with it unless you know what you're doing. Take it to a gunsmith and let him fix (what I think) is a spring.
I love you man but if the cans start shooting back all three of you are toast. LOL Yes you need some practice but I have a suggestion. Get some training with all of your weapons and shoot at the right distance. With a little training you can be a much better shot. 80 yards with a handgun is a stretch. 80 yards with the AK should not be too big of a problem if you are shooting prone or kneeling. Standing up, with little practice is or can be a problem too.
I actually use a wasr for brush hunting deer here in Ky. I get 5inch groups at 100 yards cheap tula 154 grain ammo. standing and shooting off hand is always fun but you might want to start shooting a little bench rest or at-least get down on the ground and brace. first rule of a fire fight is to take cover or at minimum get low and hard to hit. find a tree take a knee and let the rounds fly!
Ammo is expensive especially shooting .45 ACP. If you can pick up a nice .22 pistol you can practice , practice, practice and it won't break you while still saving the .45 ammo.
I love it that you share your life. I must admit, I would rather be face to face with YOU in a gun fight rather than your friend. He is spot on and very very calm when he shoots. That is bad for the "other guy"
Thanks again man for the great videos. This one definitely was in the entertainment category.
For my 500, when I pump the button pops out. When I pull the trigger and fire the button pops back in which allows me to pump/chamber the next round without having to press the button down.
You shouldnt need to keep the button pressed down on a 500 after each shot.
@DEMCAD dont be to hard oun yourself.. The AK is a "spray and pray" weapon. AK's arent known for they're accuracy. But they will put a 30 caliber round down range every pull of the trigger without question! I would recomend practicing with you Glock at 10 to 20 feet. Most handgun battles dont happen at a range of 50+ yards. Love the videos, keep it up!
Something is definately wrong with that shotgun. Every pump I have ever shot in my life, and it has been many, have I ever had to do any thing but rack it back after every shot. You may have screwed something up when you took it apart and put it back together bro. BTW, you guys need to get more practice at shooting. Just sayin'.
@DEMCAD It is designed only to be pushed on the first shell entering the chamber. After that each shell should enter the chamber freely without having to press the button until all shells have left the magazine tube and you reload.
when you get a little extra cash you might want to invest in a red dot or fixed 4X scope for the AK it will probably help you a great deal with accuracy...thanks for your vids...one thing about you/your channel that I really appreciate is that you are real...you don't come on here proclaiming to be an expert on guns/shooting...you show that you are learning and trying to improve just like the rest of us.
the comments about the pump release are correct...I have a mossberg 500 as well and you should only have to engage the pump release to pump the first round....after it fires, the pump release should be automatically engaged and you shouldn't have to press it again until you are empty and have to reload
DEMCAD you need to learn proper trigger work. Your stance is ok... But you trigger work is probably horrible if you can't hit anything at those distances. I suggest you have someone teach you their techniques.
Lokks like you do pretty well on the first two cans w/ handgun-and rifle...but on the third can you waste a lot of bullets...you might want to shoot four-five rounds...and take a break ease up then go back down "fresh" for getting the third can. I think the noise and your arms-hands gets tired on that third can- out of your groove.
Demcad, you'd do well to get some kind of .22LR semi-auto rifle. There are many types out there for very reasonable prices. If you can hit well with a .22 rifle, you can hit well with any rifle. Personally I love .22, it's easy to stock up and you don't feel bad shooting it.
Great video, but you guys REALLY need to go to a basic pistol, rifle and shotgun course because your stances, aiming and trigger pulls are all wrong.DEMCAD have you thought about suppressoring your weapons? The quieter, the better in a SHTF/WROL situation.
Is it in america allowed to just go in the forrest and shoot? Wow.. some day the shit is going to hit the fan and I don't want to imagine what is going to happen. Glad I'm not living there but in europe.
Good times shooting with friends. It is not a cheap hobby, but it is a lot of fun. Were it me, I'd get a .22 rifle and practice with it rather than the AK. Just my .02
Ever hear of something called controlled breathing and taking your time to make your shots count. This is why people just getting started with guns should start with a bolt action preferably a .22 and not jump straight to an AK/AR.
Was that your sister out there shooting with you? If so kudos! make sure everyone in the house hold is proficient with the firearms that are available
@DEMCAD just to reiterate... the dry drills will prove invaluable if you will dedicate yourself to it as you have with your phisical excerising, do this every day, sleep with your rifles at your feet and your handgun on your night stand. These tools are very obviously new to you and that must change, they should be as familiar to you as your dick is to your hand, no pun intended. You have a concealed carry permit, it took you 6 seconds to get a round out from the holster position...good luck bro
You might want to consider some type of .22lr pistol, as the ammo is relatively cheap. You could throw a hundred rounds down range every week with minimal expense.
have you ever benched the rifle to verify the precision? then sighted in for accuracy?? preferably with medium to high grade ammo start at 25 yrds....move to 50, then 100, all the time fine tuning your iron sights (& scope, if you had one)....done right, this all can be accomplished with less than a box (maybe two) of ammo........ting is, if you do not have a solid foundation for accuracy (& precision) you might as well spray & pray and train carrying extra 30lbs for ammo
Idea practice with .22 cal rimfire its much cheaper and slow down pace yourself and squeeeeeeze that trigger it is the well placed shot that saves your life while others spray and pray
You might be overlooking & under estimating dry drills with your weapons. If you dedicate 30min a day to dry drills, you will see a dramatic improvement in your skills. Practice (pistol) drawing from your holster & acquiring your sights when on target. With your rifle, practice carrying it in different ways, shouldering it & acquiring your sights. Practice fighting inside of the sling as well as outside to see which is best for you. Just my two cents. Looks like you had a lot of fun!
That Shoot Gun Is Not Working Right You Should'nt have to hit the release every time you fire when you pull the triger you should be able to rack it with out the release
Practice reloads every day at home without shooting... Dry firing drills do a lot more for me personally than actually going to the range... practice bringing up your sights getting to cover lots of videos on youtube cover this I am sure
You should go to the UP lol its crazy different

@DEMCAD Can you shake your 500 and hear something rattle in your trigger? It would confirm what I suspect, but sometimes you may not hear a thing.
1godthor 3 months ago
for the serious shooter- i recommend miller tactical on youtube...he has some excellent shooting vids
1x93cm 3 months ago

Shoot and see targets are helpful in training new shooters.

MyTravisD 3 months ago
Ammo is expensive especially shooting .45 ACP. If you can pick up a nice .22 pistol you can practice , practice, practice and it won't break you while still saving the .45 ammo.

That looks like good fun shooting. I remember Midland.

I love it that you share your life. I must admit, I would rather be face to face with YOU in a gun fight rather than your friend. He is spot on and very very calm when he shoots. That is bad for the "other guy"
Thanks again man for the great videos. This one definitely was in the entertainment category.

yea u shouldnt have to press the bolt lock everytime u want to shoot
lostd00d 3 months ago
For my 500, when I pump the button pops out. When I pull the trigger and fire the button pops back in which allows me to pump/chamber the next round without having to press the button down.
You shouldnt need to keep the button pressed down on a 500 after each shot.
IrishPrepper 3 months ago
@IrishPrepper How do i fix this problem.
DEMCAD 3 months ago

Just sayin'.
kgrngr 3 months ago
Man you need to take a tactical pistol class and carbine and shotgun!!!!

Dam Demcad you missed all three targets LMAO!!
mick6701 3 months ago
Definitely something wrong with that Mossberg. I have one and can tell you that for sure. Keep practicing your shooting.
EconomicResponse 3 months ago
@EconomicResponse I had no problem with it. I hold the release button as I pump, squeeze the trigger and pump it, fire again.
DEMCAD 3 months ago
@DEMCAD It is designed only to be pushed on the first shell entering the chamber. After that each shell should enter the chamber freely without having to press the button until all shells have left the magazine tube and you reload.
EconomicResponse 3 months ago
@EconomicResponse My gun works just the way you described, I was just used to all ways squeezing the release.
DEMCAD 3 months ago
when you get a little extra cash you might want to invest in a red dot or fixed 4X scope for the AK it will probably help you a great deal with accuracy...thanks for your vids...one thing about you/your channel that I really appreciate is that you are real...you don't come on here proclaiming to be an expert on guns/shooting...you show that you are learning and trying to improve just like the rest of us.
northeastgaprepper 3 months ago
the comments about the pump release are correct...I have a mossberg 500 as well and you should only have to engage the pump release to pump the first round....after it fires, the pump release should be automatically engaged and you shouldn't have to press it again until you are empty and have to reload
northeastgaprepper 3 months ago
Well at least I know if i see you in the woods I dont need to duck lol .

DEMCAD you need to learn proper trigger work. Your stance is ok... But you trigger work is probably horrible if you can't hit anything at those distances. I suggest you have someone teach you their techniques.

alot of misses bro... maybe u need 1 of those laser pointers hehehehe
lilkapz 3 months ago
Lokks like you do pretty well on the first two cans w/ handgun-and rifle...but on the third can you waste a lot of bullets...you might want to shoot four-five rounds...and take a break ease up then go back down "fresh" for getting the third can. I think the noise and your arms-hands gets tired on that third can- out of your groove.

MARINE1146 3 months ago
Demcad, you'd do well to get some kind of .22LR semi-auto rifle. There are many types out there for very reasonable prices. If you can hit well with a .22 rifle, you can hit well with any rifle. Personally I love .22, it's easy to stock up and you don't feel bad shooting it.
Myrmidon26 3 months ago
DEMCAD, do you have to engage your pump release every time you fire? 0_0
417BoyWonder 3 months ago
@417BoyWonder I simply hold the pump release down as I hold the gun.
DEMCAD 3 months ago
@DEMCAD that is interesting. On the mossbergs I have handlded and fired, the pump release is automatically engaged once the trigger is pulled.

Reg,
You need to shit-can that holster of yours and get into a blade-tech or blackhawk holster retention holster.
MARINE1146 3 months ago
Wow, your friend is a better shooter than you. Just stick to a shotgun DEMCAD.
LeathermanFan2 3 months ago
Great video, but you guys REALLY need to go to a basic pistol, rifle and shotgun course because your stances, aiming and trigger pulls are all wrong.DEMCAD have you thought about suppressoring your weapons? The quieter, the better in a SHTF/WROL situation.

You have a concealed carry permit, it took you 6 seconds to get a round out from the holster position...good luck bro
rising74phoenix 3 months ago
You might want to consider some type of .22lr pistol, as the ammo is relatively cheap. You could throw a hundred rounds down range every week with minimal expense.

have you ever benched the rifle to verify the precision? then sighted in for accuracy?? preferably with medium to high grade ammo start at 25 yrds....move to 50, then 100, all the time fine tuning your iron sights (& scope, if you had one)....done right, this all can be accomplished with less than a box (maybe two) of ammo........ting is, if you do not have a solid foundation for accuracy (& precision) you might as well spray & pray and train carrying extra 30lbs for ammo
plinking is fun tho
F250badgirl 3 months ago
Looked like a lot of fun brother. Still haven't been able to shoot my AK. I have got to find a place to shoot my long guns. God bless.
fumasterchu12 3 months ago
What were you squeezing to make the Mossburg rack. It should rack without after firing with just a push on the forearm. No release buttons.
Shoot slow enough to hit your target. If you get better you can back up and shoot faster. Bad practice just expends ammo.
joegore1 3 months ago
@batviper I thought the same thing! My mossberg racks after every trigger pull without pressing the release!! Nice video again Demcad!!
Darrenspottiswood 3 months ago
Idea practice with .22 cal rimfire its much cheaper and slow down pace yourself and squeeeeeeze that trigger it is the well placed shot that saves your life while others spray and pray
RNEMrenegade 3 months ago
You might be overlooking & under estimating dry drills with your weapons. If you dedicate 30min a day to dry drills, you will see a dramatic improvement in your skills. Practice (pistol) drawing from your holster & acquiring your sights when on target. With your rifle, practice carrying it in different ways, shouldering it & acquiring your sights. Practice fighting inside of the sling as well as outside to see which is best for you. Just my two cents. Looks like you had a lot of fun!
