  • @miamidolphinfan1234 Oh yeah, but still not SP

  • classic!

  • the world should share everything rather than make people pay for it. if we shared houses, airplanes and cars we could achieve more than being greedy like corporations make us live. we can live without money and adopt a system based on co-operation of the people. think how people in poor countries would benefit

  • 747-200 BCF

  • Looks like an old bird, with all the patches on the hull.

  • umm, why is it freighter if it has windows? did they just take out the seats and started naming it 747-200F ?

  • @superjjskate - I can see only 7 peephole windows?

  • @superjjskate There are 6 seats behind the flight deck and 2 beds for pilot resting for the long haul flight.

  • NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you're a real aircraft enthusiast, there's no such thing as "Boeing/Airbus,Embraer, Etc. is the best!". All airplanes are great! and kudos to those who build them!

  • Damn, that is a big airplane! I love the sound of takeoff!

  • verry nice love the nat metal finish.i hope other airlines have that sceem.

  • ...i... i just hate the scrappy metal looking livery...

  • Well, is this aircraft converted from a passenger jet? I can see windows covered.

  • Sooooper...culoarea

  • f-ing beautiful....

  • thats just amazing great camera work mate love your videos

  • shout up Black bitch

  • Что-то его маневр непонятен

  • BUT AS U SAY U WILL DEMOSTRATE A PERFECT PERFORMANCE JUMPING WITHOUT A PARACHUTE WITH 35,000 FT 6000MILIES PER HOUR

  • SURE AND WE WILL LOCK THE SEAT BELT AND WAITING FOR GOOD NEWS

  • Dude you can't parachute out of these when there crashing. End of discussion. Say it's crashing at like 6000 miles per hour, if your untrained you wont be able to land right or if your a kid your arms and legs will practically snap under the wind pressure.

  • every airline must offer parachute for accident potential

if it occur nobody can guarantee much u can save

  • @MINGWEICHEN having people with parachutes jump out at 35,000 feet with no training will be as bad, most likely worst, than having everybody stay in the plan for an emergency landing.

  • @skysnet PILOT HAS THE ABILITY TO MAKE IT TO 2000-5000 FEET

ACCIDENT AS WE CANT PREVENT ,EVERY AIRLINE COMPANY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVER PASSENGER SAFETY SO IT MUST PROVIDE PARACHUTE FOR EVER PASSENGER

AND ALSO NOBODY WILL JUMP WITH 35.000 FEET BACAUSE THATS INSANE

  • @MINGWEICHEN ok, how about you try to jump out an airplane moving at 300 mph at your desired altitude of (2000-5000 ft) without training. If you survived, come back and we talk about this some more.

  • @MINGWEICHEN Sir, I think you are dreaming, this not filming!!! Don't ever trust the film. In reality that's impossible for you to open the cabin door inflight for all modern airplane. The cabin is pressurized and the cabin doors are plug type design. Plug type is mean the door is slightly bigger than the door frame. I don't think u able to open anydoor with few tonnes pressure which added on the door to the door frame. So any emergency u meet inflight, fasten your seat belts and PRAY!!!

  • omg see tail in the landing, nice controlling wind

  • yes love those engine sounds..

  • Nice!

  • Wow the things white man builds.

  • Beautiful

  • Cathay Pacific do open, look into your check in luggage and STEAL what are valuable. So PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLE STUFFS IN YOUR CHECK IN LUGGAGE. CATHAY PACIFIC DO STEAL THEM . it happens to me. So PROTECT YOURSELF from this this Big Name. (Cathay Pacific Airline)

  • search for this new commercial

"Cathay Pacific First Class Suite (English)"

  • Avião a melhor coisa do mundo

  • amazing!!!!!!!!!!! big baby!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @QUICHE45 I didn't know they flew the 747 freighters to Manchester

  • the Boeing 747 is AWESOME , if somebody works in (BOEING) and he is reading my comment , you guys can make GREAT planes , you can do to the Concorde what you did to the MD11 , add some things that makes it more safe and less complicated cockpit

    BOEING is the BEST

  • If you are a Smart person, keep your mouth Shut and learn about the bad things that happen to others, take Precaution, and be aware so it will not happens to you. But if you are Stupid enough then keep on saying things WITHOUT THINKING.

Beside what a passenger STEAL from an airline?...A plane chair?.....(Second Stupidity), may be that only happens in Russia.

  • Cathay Pacific do STEAL passengers valuable stuffs in the checked in luggage. So BE AWARE.

  • @Huannt58 No, its you who steals them.

  • Not CX stole your stuffs man! While you lost ur stuffs is when your luggage after x-ray scan and packing into the container. Those packing workers steal your stuffs!!!

  • how does that plane get off the ground so fast but the others dont?

  • i guess ^^

  • that airplane license cost the same like the plane....

  • My sister flies with them at some point tomorrow, to Hong Kong, and then gets a connecting flight to Perth.

  • Nice colors, Amazing !!!

  • Sorry SFConifer this 747 is being powered by General Electric CF6 Turbofan engine,

they have a distinctive wine when spooling up.

  • Mabye it's modified coz it said Caro on the side of it, or maybe it is a qc quick change.

  • THIS ISNT A BOEING 747 F. A BOEING 747 F WOULDNT HAVE WINDOWS OR THAT MANY DOORS. F MEANS FREIGHTER PEOPLES!!!!

  • @maxwellus000123 Its converted

  • What a takeoff!

  • the classic bird hahahhaa

  • Pratt and Whitney engines are the best...

  • @JeffreyCentino97 ....just give few hours on net and get 38000 per week and see the change in ur life

  • 1:20 <3!

  • Comment removed

  • its only cargo?

  • Cathay being essentially a british firm, who carried the flag a long time before Virgin always specced their planes with Rolls Royce engines, because they new which side their bread was buttered!

  • Congratulation to Simon Lowe, very good video!!!

  • love the silvery fuselage

  • Najpiękniejszy samolot wszechczasów ! ! !

  • Amazing!!!

  • 747 is the most sexiest air craft ever!!!!!

    love it!

  • @abdulrafeykhan I agree......wayyyyy sexier than A380.

My jaw just drops every single time I see one take off or land. And to think they have been doing this way before I was born? What was it 1969 when it came out?

  • @abdulrafeykhan 747 are old and look ugly, sorry hehe:) :) 777 more pretty. and 380 are the queen of the sky, i rided it twice this summer, amazing plane, very quiet and comfortable.( i did rided 747 and 777 ,several times, but my favorite plane so far are 380). but if ur american!so i understand u well

  • @lauriersroses333 hello dear u can,'t even imagine who i am!!! em a pakistani and u were guessing me as an american: hahahahaha how funny tht is!!!!!!

and if i went to a flight school will i need any spesific qualifications? another question which is cheaper flight club or flight school? please reply to this.

    THANK YOU

  • fjy with us

  • @simonkk420 hi pal are you a pilot?

  • Those needle like winglets at the wingtips, where they used for fuel dumping or for just reducing drag?

  • @xTomcatsForeverVF84x actually they are used to reduce wake turbulance from the aircraft when you have an aircraft as large as the 747 they use those so there is less tur. for other aircraft behind it most airliners have them and dont ask me how it reduces the turb. thats all the sciency big word stuff that hurts my brain!

  • @thefsxandREALpilot Yeah I figured it was used for reducing drag. Personally, I like the needleshaped things than the winglets

  • @xTomcatsForeverVF84x The needleshaped things is the HF antenna

  • Ah, the silver bullet.

  • thats not a 747-200F,its got windows all over the side

  • @1imthwalrus Its converted from Passenger to Freighter, hence technically called a -200F.

  • @m3andchip5 yeah i wrote that but then is saw the livery

  • the worst ever airline in the world to travel in

  • @nasirzubair

    Cathay is not the worst!

  • @nasirzubair .... Man... why do you say that? I have a fear of flying and have just made a reservation on Cathay to fly to HK in September. Are they not a good airline? Should I change airlines?????

  • @ThomasAUSTRALIA1

If I was you. I should fly with KLM. Its much better and safer. Believe me.

  • @PrutTV ..Thanks for your comment. I know KLM are really good, but they don't fly direct from Melbourne to Hong Kong. What's wrong with Cathay?

  • what a wonderful taking off !

I wonder Why I like such operations !

Really I wish That I were a worker at airport .

  • I'm sure that pitched up too steep at the start! Then pitched down again.

  • But they are not thirty... that's what makes them so efficient :-) Great video

  • guys u sure it isnt ge ifeel so

  • THIS IS 747-200BCF

  • the engine sounds heavy....

  • Listen to those thirsty Pratts humming, the essence of turbofan technology

  • @SFConifer those aint pratts bro there RR, thats a 200 series

  • @SFConifer the engines aren't Pratts but General Electric :p

  • @SFConifer well, these are GE engines, not pratt and whitney.

  • @SFConifer those are genral electric cfm 6's

  • @SFConifer I'm proud of them, as they were invented by a romanian guy ^^

  • @SFConifer Haha you got that one wrong, they are General Electric CF6-50's

  • @SFConifer would these be the same engines for the Biman DC-10's? Sound quite similar.

  • @SFConifer those are actually GE

  • @SFConifer

I would prefer the CF6-80. Especially when the spool up is Virgin Atlantic.

  • @SFConifer how do you differ PW engines, RR and GE?

  • @SFConifer These are CF6's :S

  • @SFConifer

    CX uses Rolls Royce

  • @SFConifer uh just saying thats not PW thats GE look it up but HELL Yeah essence of Turbofan technology :)

  • what a steep climb! you had a great position to spot, thanks for posting.

  • Of all the 747 takeoff video's on youtube this has to be the best....nice job and thanks for posting.

  • Has this video been digitally re-altered??

The plane looks extremely warped, narrow and high. Please someone give us the original !!

  • phileustace, its fine. 747's are big, just the camera angles.

  • how long stood this airplane in manchester?

  • i really like this silver bullet with nice engine sound....

  • People say the -8F's wings curved up "really high". It honestly looks like normal wing flex, I mean look at the 742's and 744's wingflex. It's probably because of the new form factor of the wing.

  • its because the 748's wings have a rake on the end like the 77W and 77L

  • That adds a lot to it, because they're much longer than "conventional" winglets. But the new wing appears to be curvier and as a result plays the illusion that it bends up really high.

  • good ole carbon fiber

  • Indeed... but hasn't it been shown that carbon fiber when applied to full-body constructions such as the 787 pose a large obstacle in designing a safe and cheap-to-maintain structure? It's slightly lighter, but as it's essentially "one piece" is more prone to vibrations, and damage from such vibrations, and is more expensive to replace as it comes in big pieces rather than several small ones. I'm sure it's really just a matter of learning how to use it correctly, though. 787 is overperforming!

  • Atterraggio non perfetto il pilota tende a sbilanciare l' asse dell' aeromobile leggermente a sinistra, escludo che ci fossero venti nella zona, comunque complimenti !! Renzo Gaggioli Pilota Alitalia.

  • booaahhh what a landing ^^

  • @Planefreaky i think the landing is good very smotth flaps spoilers come just in time

  • cant you see the windows are white inside?

  • They pulled down all the shades.

  • the first cargo plane i see with windows for passengers!

  • Actually no, it is a Boeing 747-200BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter). It has completed its service life as a passenger aircraft, so the airline converted it for freight use. The white windows are plugs that you see painted the aircraft color an most other BCF's. Because this aircraft is bare metal, they are white. Just to clear up the confusion.

  • What engines are those, P&W?

  • which is older the 747-200 or the md-11 or dc-10?
