  • wonderful, gasoline, and hard on you are my top 3 with wonderful as #1. i love this CD :)

  • fire on the mountain is the most epic song and powerful song off the album

  • I love Give me the meltdown, Wonderful, Snowblind, Gasoline

  • Gasoline and Hard on You are my favorite songs from the album.

  • Diamonds is about Empathy not unrequited love.

  • actually it's about his wife and her battle with auto-immune disease

  • Haha 0:16 june 30 is my birth day! :D

  • First off, Gasoline is one of the albums best songs.

2nd Rob shouldn't be compared to Jason Mraz

3rd fuck the critics! They are trained to praise and critizise and justify just like attorneys are taught to prove points and justify. This is a terrific CD, I don't need numbers or to be a pro to say it's really good. I highly suggest getting it.

  • most people consider mraz a very talented artist. the only comparison i think was made was that hard on you's instrumentals were reminiscent of something mraz would do. also, to each their own, but i personally hate the chorus from gasoline. and lastly, im pretty sure i said it's a really good album and also said i highly suggest people getting it so why are you bitching?

  • he is so right about him not being as well known as he deserves......kinda pisses me off.....then again im in a pissy mood.

  • he gets more recognition in the u.s. than my two other favorites, taylor hicks (dont bash him till you've listened to his albums) and michael buble, both of which are amazingly talented artists who produced class A music

  • oh cool ill check them out : )

    dont worry, i dont judge....

whats songs would u suggest i listen 2 first?

  • the runnaround, the distance, and heaven knows by taylor hicks first and everything, lost, home, and crazy love by michael buble second

  • Great review, I am a huge M20 and Rob Thomas fan and this was an amazing album, I agree with everything said here. Best review in awhile. Thanks.

  • check out the her diamonds cover!

  • you seem like a bit of a homer for rt, makes it a bit more difficult to take this review seriously

  • coola bullia love it

  • Near perfect! YES!!! Great review of a great album and artist! I can't seem to get enough of this album and like the review said- I already know 90% of the lyrics and I've only had the album for about a week! I have to say, now that I have listened to it so much, my favorites are hard on you , snowblind and cradlesong.

  • Great review! I really thought this album would be more like "Something to Be", his last solo album. It clearly is completely different, besides the percussive nature of the album. A little less upbeat I suppose. I just got to meet him and I got my guitar signed by him as well as the album. Made me quite happy.

  • Well thank you for a good review!

  • thank you for watching my review!

  • Your Welcome! I also like Rob's new album.

  • I love this album to BITS!! I played Mocking Brid 20 times on a row! it's perfect. As is Wonderful. And Her Diamonds is also awesome. I really loe this, great work, mr. Thomas.

  • I love track 12 -- "Wonderful." I know nobody who can bite into vocals the way Rob does, though granted he doesn't do that style as often nowadays. It probably reminded me the most of mb20's early days (with the addition of brass instruments), so that's likely why it's my favorite on the CD. But I agree that overall, the CD is very good!

  • You didnt mention snowblind which was one of my personal favorites may i ask why you didnt like it?

  • it's not that i didn't like it. in fact, i do like it...a lot actually. the thing is, i initially didn't plan to talk about every single song. toward the latter half of my script i realized i had done exactly what i didn't want to do- describe each song. in the end, i tried quickly cramming the last 4 or 5 songs in a single sentence to condense time, and snowblind accidentally got pushed out and i didn't put it back in, but i do like snowblind, it just didn't stick out when i reviewed this

  • It's a great album! I especially like Mockingbird and Snowblind, when you listen to these songs it feels like you are floating away.

    9/10!

  • You really sounded sleepy there. Nice review tho.

  • I second the "Why up at 3 AM question"

Good review though, I was wondering when/if you'd expand into music reviews. I like Rob Thomas, but I never really get the chance to listen to him much.

  • "it's 3 a.m. i must be lonely"

im going to start rolling out more music reviews, but they will probably be more of recommendations rather than reviews. it's hard for me to review stuff that i don't like sometimes, whereas showing something that i really like is much easier.

  • Yeah it's always easier to talk about things you enjoy.

  • Awesome. Way better than mine

  • what in the hell are you doing up at 3 in the morning?!?! i never really liked matchbox twenty all that much, although i can't refute their massive popularity. ill have to check out his solo albums. i hear they are completely different than matchbox twenty. good review overall

  • ugh im so freaking tired. seriously check this album out though, im actually on my 8th full playthrough now and it keeps getting better.
