True, it's not the weed, alcohol, coke, cigarettes that destroy your life. It's the weakness that leads to abuse of the drugs. And like Joe says you can ruin your life with cheeseburgers and scratch tickets, should we make that illegal too? I did pot as a kid and young man, no problem stopping because I have a strong will, and high intelligence.

Marijuana is not physically addictive of course. When I quit I had no withdrawl effects like quitting nicotine, or heroin. But it is a habit, and phychologically addictive, you get used to doing the drug. I'll admit it was easy to quit, and my will did help to move on and improve.

Yes, they can. In fact, they already are. The state of California alone makes over a million in revenue a year on medical marijuana sales alone. Now imagine if it were legalized for recreational use nationwide. We're talking billions of dollars going straight to Uncle Sam.

As of right now, however, Uncle Sam is making a lot of money on the prohibition of cannibis, in the form of arrests and bail. I think the govt. would make more if it were legalized.

Well that sucks. But that's the point, if marijuana was legal, then the criminals making money off it now wouldn't be in business.
