  • @ravisdb no I did not. Woburn Aikido and now DC

  • Hello srv1491.

    I'd call that "Kaiten osae".

  • I watch this video every once in a while and each time feel a complex combination of reinvigoration and melancholy towards my training. I never knew Kanai Sensei, but he was my teacher's teacher so I cannot help but feel some sort of connection to him.

  • @sarosh92 Did you ever train at toronto aikikai???

  • someone kill that uke !!! :D

  • who disliked this?!

  • what is the name of the technique from 1:16 to 1:22? thanks in advance.

  • xD 03:53 ...a strong sensei u.u

  • This is kanai sensei an uchi desi of o sensei he passed away in toronto in 2003.Before he did aikido he studied judo so he really liked hip throws and aikido has thousands of hipthrows too

  • Wow, That was awesome, I've never seen Aikido like that before.

    Peace, E

  • who is the sensei in the video?

  • The nage is Mitsunari Kanai Shihan as a young man (in 1962) before coming to the United States.

  • the negative comments below just go to exemplify the teachings of this master.

  • the technique at 200 201 in effect is not a koshinage it seems a judo seoinage.Very beautifull video and very good sensei thank you very much

  • who is the sensei???

  • what I noticed with his techniques in his Koshinages(with high respect) is that he uses his back and shoulders more often rather than use his hips, that is why it is called koshi(hip) and nage(throw). The result is more shown that we should use the hips is 2:00 to 2:01, he was unbalanced there I think. But whoa this Sensei rocks alot!

  • that's the spirit

  • Excellent video, thanks for posting! I like the way the camera shakes when the uke hits the mat.

  • i love you.

  • Thanks NE for posting.

  • One hell of an uke

  • That's the way... For those, who seek perfection there can be no piece on this side of the grave.

    ... True master...

  • Amazing Aikido. This is the first time I've seen Kanai sensei's techniques.

  • True mastery..
