yeah shadow boost, I'm serious. The E30 was hanging with the e90 even up to the third lap! It wasn't utill the end that the newer m3 passed the e30. Obviously the track was fairly twisty, and smaller size. Naturally the lighter more nimble car is going to do well. Its all about power to weight ratio, and suspension set up/ geometry. The e30 held its own. bottom line. It's nice to see that the older car with far less engineering technology still can perform very well.

i dont like how the e90 feels more detached than the e30. I have a e30 s50 and an e90 335i, the 335i has more hesitation at the throttle, but I think it might just be the turbo lag

You are clueless. This video tells nothing about what the driver was trying to do by not passing the E30 in the turns when he could easily. Check out their official laptimes. M3 E90/E92 is WAYYYYY faster than the E30 around a race track. It is not even a comparison.

Watch them laughing mercilessly when he almost rear ended the E30 in the corner at 3:28. The E90 M3 was pulling away on the straights line the E30 was at a standstill. The E90 turn in was much tighter and much cleaner than the E30. They were playing with the E30.

I own an 89 M3, being 20 years old it still out handles most cars on the track. Drop an S52 into that E30 and the E92 wouldnt even hang
