Will using the otterbox defender with the extended battery damage the phone?

There's no reason the phone would be damaged. If you haven't seen the OEM extended battery and its door - it is virtually the same as the original battery outside of perhaps a 1mm increase in thickness.

Since we made this video, other extended batteries have hit the market which are much larger than the original - and naturally those are not intended to be used with any cases or covers.

thanks for telling me the extra battery fits with this case. I want to get the extra battery cause it will never last more then a day. How many more hours use does one get from ha king the extra battery. Do u sell the battery? I love this phone. I'm a ex iPhone user. Much appreciated video

Technically speaking, the extra battery is a mere 250mAh over the standard battery. Since the original is rated at 1850mAh and the extened at 2100mAh - it's not a considerable boost. If anything, it will allow you to use your phone without going dead from day to day - but each person's experiences and usage patterns differ.
