Remember Live Aid vividly, EVERYONE had it on in their front rooms blaring out through the windows. I can remember half way through the day getting on my bmx and riding to the shop to get something and it was like a ghost town because everyone was watching it. Cars were amazing - i would almost go as far to say second only to Queen on the day.

@blayeto dont forget the CARS formed in 1976 and were performing before the 80s so the CARS aren't just an  80s band. Just What I Needed was released in 1978. their second album Candyo released in 1979.

@glelrod1 While the song "Drive"was, they had technical problem too. If you watch again, you will see Greg and Ben more times look at direction of drum. "Just what I needed" performance was super. It was more better, than studio version. This is my opinion only...

I was married for 30 years when my husband divorced me and left me penniless. I remember this song during a turbulent time in our marriage. I also knew Ben Orr before he was famous which used to tick my ex off so bad...I would play this song all the time. It reminded me what was going on in my life at that time. I listen and have flashbacks but it's all good! I loved Ben, such a gentle and sweet man. Very humble and oh so HOT!!
