JK Cargo Rack from Olympic 4x4 Products

I don't understand why everyone wants to mount these racks to the body. True, no new holes are drilled but it's still creating a fatigue point on the body and not being attached to the bumper or frame. I do like the looks of this unit and the Garvin but I'm not going to attach anything to the body of my new as of yet undelivered Jeep. Time to break out the mig welder. I'm diggin on the fenders though.

Can you take the roof off without taking the rack off, it doesn't look like it to me but wanted to hear what you have to say. I like the mounting if you can take the top off to.

So I called to order the safari sports rack from Olympic. I was told they are not manufacturing this product till spring..what a bummer!

@JavaAlien the fenders are also from Olympic 4x4 Products. Visit our channel and you will find a 2010 SEMA show video where Olympic discusses them. They really are nice and fit extremely well. And as you saw, you can stand on them.

ok I have another question - what flares are those? I noticed you can stand on them! LOL ... NICE. what is the back spacing of the wheels and do the flares provide complete coverage? how much more coverage is provided over stock? I need the flares as well.
