I hate Ray Allen (within the context of basketball, I am a Laker fan) but he speaks the truth when it comes to shooting. Ballance, contsistency with your jump, the high release, the smooth stroke, the follow through, the stance, all of it is perfect. The only thing I suggest younger player do not do that he does is to release the ball at the peak of the jump. It works for him but for most people (even most NBA shooters) you to get the ball out of your hands BEFORE you peak on your jump.

@wallym12345 my basketball IQ isnt all that great but it can possibly be because of the fact that the ball hits the rim in order for it to fall in. cause sometimes his arc on the ball is sorta low, which is the cause of it hitting the rim to go inside. plus another reason his shots are automatic is partially beacause of his Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) which allows him to have every single mechanic in his shooting all organized and shit.

You're not supposed to have your left thumb assist in the force of the shot, your left hand is there to only keep the ball in your right hand until you use it to release. Try shooting left handed and think about how your right hand should only hold the ball steady, you'll get it, try it with your opposite hand

Your calfs will be toasted do that 3x a week and do sprints and sucicides youll have SICK ASS CALVES

how old are you? ray allen was chosen by jordan to represent the jordan brand for a reason and it's not because of just shooting threes. he plays off the ball (a lost art in today's game) which opens up other players and keeps the offense moving. he also has a great midrange shot and can defend on the other end. saying all he does is shoot threes means you have no real understanding of his game.
