  • I do this all the time xD

  • LMFAO. I love you John!♥

  • Brought to you by Rickenbacker Guitars

  • It was the 60's. Nobody had any problem making fun of anyone else; it was the norm

and everyone was used to it and everyone eventually became the butt of it for one reason or another and nobody freaked out; it was called humor and not ment to hurt anyone's feelings; it's just what you did. It was the good 'ol days before the PC Police showed up... :-(

  • I never knew The Beatles were anti-retard.

  • Comment removed

  • it must have been fun in the 60's :)

  • People are so damned touchy anymore. All this PC crap. I'm white, but can't be offended when someone calls me a cracker, albino, whitebread, etc. But boy, if anyone makes fun of a so-called "minority" in any way, everyone goes to war about it. And of course the defense is that whites have been so dominant for so long and should just take it. No. People need to grow a sense of humor and pull the sticks out of their asses! This is funny. John was awesome. Get over it!

  • Clap clap stomp

  • It must have been fun living in the 60's...

  • Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. John Lennon wishes he was retarded.

  • @BluToof Rightttt.... Okay..

  • I read in a book somewhere where Lennon would say when he was younger "what some people will do to get out of the army" to crippled people on the street.

  • TIMMY!!!!!!

  • why does he gotta make fun of the retards? what they do to him

  • @jasperwoods He wasn't making fun. John always had this fascination about people who were 'different' in some way. He's not mocking them or being mean to them, he's just having fun like any young man of his age (when this was filmed he would be around 23) would do!

  • x) God, am I glad to have an uncle and grandfather that act EXACTLY like this.

  • Clap yar hands. Lmao

  • That's the most adoriblest thing i've ever seen before baby bunnies

  • Comment removed

  • John is not directly mocking handicapped people though this is him doing an impression. on the Anthology DVD's, the rest of the guys recall John having that dark but harmless sense of humour.

  • Oh I just love you, John :D

  • Silly boy! So cute! <3 Love him forever<3

  • ...yet ANOTHER reason i need a time machine.

    *exasperated* stupid politics

  • If that was today, you'd have the Prime Minister going on This Morning telling Pip Schofield that Lennon should be kicked out of The Beatles for disparaging the disabled.

  • i read that as a child he was very interested in mentally handicapped people, dunno if its true though??? :)

  • Stop calling them retarded. The correct term is mentally handicapped.

  • @Marshallsg shush up , retard

  • @greeniem Feel good?

  • @Marshallsg feel better than jesus... the second time around

  • derp! : D

  • No-one could hear him above the screaming anyway, "retard" acting or not.

  • If you know then you should not open big mouth. Get it!!

  • sorry. I know, it's unacceptable these days, but...

    LMFAO.

  • In Liverpool they made fun of retarded people? Excuse me - people make fun of retarded people EVERYWHERE, among friends at least. But then again, people make fun of everything and everyone that can be made fun of. So why should one group of people be exempt? I'm for equality.

  • @superman11978

Exactly. Show me a place where they never made fun of the mentally challenged and it'll either be Heaven or a Trappist monastery. Unfortunately, it's natural to find stupid or retarded people funny. That instinct is one we should try to overcome, certainly in the way we behave towards such people.

There is a good biological reason for it though: it probably originates from the need to avoid spreading faulty genes, more than anything else. Whatever genetics is, it's not PC.

  • @superman11978 They weren't making fun of retarted people... it was John getting over a fear he had of them since he was a child. He had no problem with them at all. Thats why he wanted to get over his fear of them.

  • I love John's humor!!! ♥

  • every time i see this, i try clapping like that. ahah johnny. <3

  • oh john, gotta love his odd humor

  • No, I didn't understand like he was making fun of slow people, but like he was making fun of all this noise and hype around them...

  • oh, John. I love you.<3

  • now days this would cause a stir.

  • Oh John, how much he liked making fun of retards.

  • I think they all go it realy frustrated with lack of technology and the fact nobody was listening and coudlnt hear so John reacted to the stress by acting like a spaz trying to cheer the others up and as a way to vent

  • clap ur hands! stomp YOUR FEET!

  • And, if you've noticed, he's talking like as he's singing.

  • All fans are really looked retarded, that's what he's laughing at.

  • No, John is not making fun of retarded people. He is making fun of fans shouting all the time.

  • lmfao[x what a random thing to do on stage!

    John Lennon forever<3

  • i like how ringo plays along to his "stomping"

  • Oh John xD

  • DUDE JONH LENNON MAKES ME LAUGH HES SO CUTE MAN THE BEATLES 4 LIFE AND EVER

  • @estelaholguin1 trick to life

REMOVE FINGER FROM SHIFT, or TURN OFF CAPS

    Have a nice day

  • John was afraid of retards. He would occasionally make fun of them. Like so. ^^

  • omg so funny

    :)

  • lol

  • Lol!! xD everytime my friends tell me they've acomplished something or when we clap for someone I do that everytime xD and I do it pretty well too lmao

  • Clap your hands! *stomps feet* Stomp your feet *claps hands* Retardation can't be beat!

  • as bad as I feel, I can't help but do this with my friends all the time.. xD I can't help but have a giggle <.<

    XD

    fuck, I love John

  • its hilarious!

and kill me for saying this but everyone herre has seen a spazzed person and had a little giggle!

  • lol i love this but at the same time, i feel really bad for laughing at it!!!!!

  • what a babe <3

  • Really some people think their Beatles crazy and have stuff like beatlescrazy in their usernames but little do they know xtreemrock and vantalge are right. I've loved the Beatles for 4 years non stop. I've read every book about them have anthology and know what is going on. John really had a history of not liking the retarded they did used to take their children to John and telling them to heal them. He just didn't like them and no one understands what I mean about it. He was a smart man ya know

  • haha, i love john, he's such a joker, and this made me laugh so much, me and my friend, becky always do this at school!

and i met her nan and she told me she was friends and walked to school with john! my oh my, i was green with such envy.

  • aww so messed up but john makes up for it by being so damn cute lol...

  • I do stuff like that like walk funny and stuff but I also feel sorry for people that are handycap but JOHN IS SOOOO CUTE!!!!!!

    <3 :-)

  • He is not making fun of handicapped people but it's so hilarious to watch him doing that

  • @WiltatKansas Actually, he was. But it's understandable given his age and the sudden fame. People were bringing handicapped kids to them as if they could heal them. And, he had a hard edge, given all he had gone through as a kid.

  • @WiltatKansas He's not making fun of handicapped people? That's exactly what he's doing. Don't be obtuse.

  • well cant do anything these days without some stupid ppl having to say its wrong. YOU GO JOHN. Its called laughter.

  • XD He's great at being himself. That's what I love most about him

  • cuuutiiiiieeeeeeee<3

  • John is so funny! I love how he smiles after he says something clever...or when he smiles to get away with something lol

  • i love how he still looks gorgues wen hes acting retarded :L , i know its wrong to laugh at handycaped people, but you have to laugh at how john imitates them ;p

  • i dont think he is making fun of retarded people!

  • @jasperwoods

    here's a little common reasoning

60's no one knows what retarded is john was simply acing stupid your the prejudiced one he dident say retarded

  • In the Beatles anthology all three Beatles explained John Lennons dance was really making fun of mentally disabled (retarded) people. All the Beatles were uncomfortable with requests to visit with mentally disabled children—and John went as far as making fun of them on stage to cover that John himself was sometimes uncomfortable on stage. Lennon usually pushed the limits of comedy in front of cameras and on stage and often cripples and spastics were his targets.

  • Haha, love him :D<3

  • John playing retarded!

He's so cute... I love him!

  • John is the funniest beatle!! Paul is the sweetest beatle!! George is the Cutest beatle!!! And Ringo ...well he is just the awesomest drummer ever

  • @beatlesfan641

They're all funny, sweet, cute and awesome in their own unique way. =)

I love these guys so much!

  • I don't believe John was making fun of the handicap at all, I'm pretty sure he was making a joke of audiance participation, the Beatles didn't want to be like those bands that were all like " Ok everybody clap your hands, All right! Come on! " So, Being the creative genius's they were, humorized the way they got the audiance to join in. People who take Johns actions seriously probably don't have a humorous bone in their body.

    Fab 4 ever

  • I'm sure he does make fun of handicapped. He used to do that when he was young I believe.

Very funny to see all those "flower power, love is all you need"-ppl just joining in here on youtube and laugh at a joke I believe they normally wouldn't laugh at, only because it's John who's pulling it off.

  • hahah fuck me you could not get away with that nowadays , not without the "PC army " burning you at the stake lmao .John was a cracker

  • john makes a good comedian :) haha he's so funny!

  • FUCKING HELL HE IS CUTE

  • According to Peter Brown's book "The Love You Make", John would mock handicapped people who were brought to the show and sat in the front. I have NO idea if this is true.

  • he's just playin around and bein funny

  • haha! john was always funny!

  • john and them were making fun of retarded people lol

  • yeah! hhehe

  • Nice :D

  • John was sooooo funny!!!!!!! XD XD i love him so much XD !!!!! <3

  • Proof on how different things were back then.

Then, he was making fun of Paul. Now, he'd be on the news for making fun of handicapped people.

People get really anal about these things now.

  • That's because nowadays people take everything as an insult.

The music's getting worse too. If people really take insults that closely, why don't they go after today's songs? :)

  • @DemonMitsuki How was he making fun of Paul? His gestures obviously refer to retarded people.

  • @xXPinkGoddessXx Exaggerating what Paul's talking about.

  • @trainchugger53 Yes, by making fun of retarded people.

  • @DemonMitsuki he wasnt making fun of paul.......in liverpool they would often joke about handicapped people. Read it.

  • @XtrmMcjohnson nice to see that you'll bring in an outside theory rather than use your eyes and basic sense and reply to a year old comment that 46 people agree with and in such a cocky tone. Good day, sir.

  • @DemonMitsuki Is Lennon making fun of you in this vid? Doesnt matter who agrees with it or how old the comment is. If you saw a random person do something similar, of course you would think hes making fun of its source, but how do you know its not an "inside joke" of sorts. Thats not the point though...

I read that they would often joke about handicapped people (It might have been "Paul McCartney: A Life" to be exact) in Liverpool during their Quarrymen days. Thats all i was saying. Good day.

  • @XtrmMcjohnson They never made fun of them, The Beatles weren't like that. They didn't like racists, homophobic, and they certainly didn't like anyone who made fun of someone because of a disease. John was terrified of handicapped people as a child because he thought they were monsters, it was never explained to him that they had a disease until later years of his life. Not like when he was like 25, but when he was like 15. The fear stuck with him, and this was how he got over it.

  • @XtrmMcjohnson John had a fear of handicapped people because when he was a child he thought they were monsters and it wasn't explained to him that they had diseases. The Beatles didn't like people who did these sorts of things. When an old friends of theirs made fun of Brian for being gay, they very politely told him to never come around them again. During a concert they once had, the police didn't want black people coming in, but they were upset about that and told them to let them in,

  • @XtrmMcjohnson Right here John is dealing with his fear. It's how he got over it, he was never making fun of them, Never. John wasn't like that, and the rest of them weren't. It's in Cynthia's book about John, how about you read it?

  • @Aliceisamazing1234 ok, I get your point.....but you dont have to spam the page replying to everyone that you know more than us about the Beatles. GOOD JOB BEING A FAN! /sarcasm. Make one comment and that's it.

  • @DemonMitsuki Actually he wasn't making fun of them.... John had a fear of people with diseases such as those because as a child he thought that they were monsters, and it was never really explained to him that they had a disease. Of course as he got older he learned, but that childhood fear stuck with him his whole life. He didn't have a probably with handicapped people at all, what he was basically getting over his fear, and this is how he did it.

  • your a dick

  • ha ha! Johny being Johny!

  • I love the little dance at the end !

  • I love John being funny!

  • Ohh that was funny. idk why he always did that though...haha oh well :D

  • black humor

  • XDDD

  • ahhhh even when he made fun of the lame and retarded he still was just so darn lovable.

  • Bellyflops2 Yes you are so right,so were are you in this humor,oh yes you are a retard,i thought so,what a daft tit you are, time for a drink, watch the shirt, dont spill,ha ha ha ha ha,TIT........

  • @Bellyflops2 Exactly! Man I love him.

  • @Bellyflops2Actually he wasn't making fun of them....

  • They kept putting handicap right in front of the stage. And some would have drull and other stuff.

And like they knew who they were metting.

Some of the parents would leave them there in the Beatles dressing room with the Beatles.

  • I heard that once a woman threw her disabled son at into the back of a truck the beatles were in. she screamed something like 'HEAL HIM!!!'

Paul threw him back, supposedly, the kid wasn't hurt...

It's probably just a story but I can see it happening...

  • HAHAHA xD the best!!!!!!

  • hahahaha :)

  • LOL sooo cute!

  • Mark grabar20 as spam

  • where did did you find this

  • John is retardinly hilariously great!!! Lennon > McCartney.... Lennon-McCartney-Harrison..... > EVRYONE!

  • Yeah Lennon is better than Paul.

  • YES!

  • Uh, no he isn't. I'd say they're equal in greatness. And in other ways they're two different even to size up against one another....

  • well...

    ha ha ha

    i like George

but i think in difernet ways they are greater then each other...

  • ahh his famous spastic impression, he loved doing it.

  • john was afraid, he would do it to release tension

  • John said in a interview they would bring these handicapped people to the concerts and put them in the front row and he could not understand that. Even in the dressing room where the nurses would push these people on them as if the Beatles could heal them. A BBC interview taped right before his death.

  • John making fun of retards is quite funny.

  • yes, indeed.

  • On Anthology Paul said John like to make fun if the spase cases called "daft punks", it was his way of releasing tension

  • John is just being John. I know it's kind of mean but he didn't want it to be mean i bet... (if that made any sense!)

  • that's sooooo F'fed up that it's hilarious! Spit just flew out my mouth like twice, the first bit and then the second bit, laughed completely out loud. And the thing is, I've seen this before, LOL!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOO Wrong and SOOOOO funny

  • haha i remember when i was younger ppl use to say clap your hands stomp your feet retarnation cant repeat LOOK WERE WE GOT IT FROM MR.LENNON!haha i know its sorta meen but its kinda funny

  • they started using the stomp in songs u know, when they play hello goodbye on this show paul is doing the stomp.

(a bit rude of john though, making fun)

  • He's not making fun of anything, he's just getting the crowd going...and, in my opinion, eing TOTALLY FREAKING CUTE!!!! GAAAAAHH!!!

  • So was he making fun of the mentally challenged? To be honest I did laugh because he looked pretty funny but at the same time it was kind of mean and I felt bad afterwards. Oh well. Ha

  • see, thast the magic of john, he can compleatly make fun of things, but you just have to laugh! only he could pull that off! HHAHAHAHAAAH!

  • Oh ho ho this is so not politically correct.

    I love that.

  • ahahaha
