@cheezpopsicle imo, i wouldn't go so far to say that this offically proves that african american people owns everyone else in choirs. that's not to say that this choir isn't good. they're truly amazing & very talented. but there are many white (and other people/races) who can sing just as well as they do. but in terms of feeling envious of their singing abilities, i'm so jealous too. i wish i could sing at least, half as good as they do. i can't even sound a close to this in the shower. lol

That's probably why I said it...I don't have anything against the Beatles, but I don't think there was anything exceptional about them. I always considered them an above average band in an age of a few truly great bands. I might give it to them that they provided great inspiration to a lot of good bands, I'm not sure about the greats though. What I feel the Beatles had was a willingness to go against the grain and continuously try something new and different as opposed to just sticking to a particular formula or style. I see the same quality in these guys.

From a musical perspective they're not that innovative really, they have a generally predictable feel once you've heard a few songs. It's mostly upbeat music containing the same elements of surprise. i've never found myself disbelieving that something was OK Go. I think they have found a great angle (artistic, continuous shot music videos) to promote their music. In the area of music video making I agree with the general public that they are one of the most innovative bands around.
