I march every year for Mothers who are carriers of genetic diorders. I was strongely urged by Drs and even family members to abort my sons because I am a carrier of a rare type of hemophilia. I trusted in God and never considered death as a solution to my dilemma. 23 years later, my 3 beautiful sons: a Seminarian, an electrician and a film maker will be with me at the Life March which happens to be on my birthday this year. Every life, convenient or not, is worth living. My sons are proof!
ABORTION IS NOT JUST MURDER? IT IS ROBBING AN ENTRIE GENERATION OF GREATNESS!!!! .....WHO KNOWS WHAT BABIES ARE BEING DESTROYED ...THAT HAD THEY HAD THE CHANCE TO GROW UP AND BECOME ADULTS, COULD HAVE HAD THE CURE TO AIDS, OR CANCER OR SOME OTHER GREAT DISCOVERY....ABORTION IS A THIEF IN THE HIGHEST DEGRE
The first name that God revealed to Moses was Jehovah Recham (Jehovah Merciful), and the root of Recham is the same as the root for womb. Then you have God coming down upon the golden Mercy Seat in the Tabernacle to consume the sacrifices, which became the golden Paten on which the Eucharist sits, because Jesus was the perfect sacrifice. Also Christ entered the womb Himself to become a human. The Ark of the Covenant was a womb prototype because it represented Mary who would bare Christ.
45 million "children" are they children yet? prolifers say "There is a scripture that says that a womb holds a human: Luke 11:27" but the word human is not there not even the greek word for child @luke 1:80 either.
@dontcutthebaby8 I won't comment regarding what Scripture does or does not say. I will call them children however based on medical science. There is absolutely no doubt that human life starts at conception. Scientific fact.
@GuardianOfTheFaith by your name you are not led by scientific fact. "absolutely no doubt that human life starts" ?? IF science showed that, then the scientists would be antiabortion. dont mix fact with faith.
I was there too! Isn't it amazing the twisted logic people use to defend abortion? I mean, how much common sense does it take to say "46 unique chromosomes = unique human"? Sure he/she can't survive on his/her own, but what child under 5 years old can? And the amazing thing is that we are accused of acting solely on emotional, bigoted, religious fanaticism. In psychiatry, I believe we would call that projection, my friend!
The baby is within the woman, and I consider the fetus a body part until a certain point of devolopment. I care little for your black and white statement preceding the latter... I do not care about abortion either way. The reason I hold my position on it is because I do not support the government making restrictions on citizens. Fetuses are not citizens, but mothers are. Also, I've read too much relativism to care...
It hurt my heart reading " I respect their rights and their opinions." I hope, I pray, you would come to my rescue seeing me being attacked on the street...Even though the attackers would have their rights and their opinions...
Please, remove the lukewarmth from your heart. It is not the 'right of the opinion' that people oppose. It is coming to the rescue to people being killed. The only thing is that it is being done Godly way - through peaceful demonstration with the message of love.
The attacker is not free to assault a pedestrian. He is free to do anything for/to himself, but not to others. This is not a compatible metaphor for abortion, however, because the fetus is within the mother and is, in my opinion, a type of body part.
Lol I was just thinking about this funny part of the day in DC 09. My friends and I were all, ya know, "marchin", and there's this woman standing on a car holding a sign and saying that we're all gonna go to hell cuz being pro life is against God o,O ....but to be honest I almost peed myself laughing :) anyway. I love the song :) I hope to see everyone in DC tomorrow! Hopefully we won't need to march for life next year :)

Hey christians, I have a question...
This year my catholic high school will be forcing every student to attend this rally thing. Unfortunately, I am not religious. I am anti-abortion and pro-choice, and thus intend to make a pro-choice sign. My question is, will some crazy fucking catholic attack me? If so, is there a designated area for the opposition?
Haha, okay then. I heard last year there some people walking around in lab coats drenched in cow blood. I don't know if I find that more deterring than the gay parade they had a couple weeks ago... DC sucks when there's protests.
i see what your saying here ( i mean that i understand your reasoning with that position) but if you truly believe its wrong and that it's murder, then you should want roe vs wade to be overturned. Otherwise, why should we have a law against anything...isn't THAT government control?
I do indeed believe it is wrong, (murder would be pushing it in my opinion), but as I said before that's only me personal stance. I do not want to force my opinion on the rest of my country, which is what you're saying I should want. I respect their rights and their opinions. It is not my choice, and it doesn't really effect me anyway.
Not pacifist necessarily, I'm just not trying to force my will or opinions on people. As far as importance goes, what's really important? Everything is relative...
I think I kind of agree with DeusEbrius...not sure though :/ I mean I don't like making peoples disisions for them...but I also wanna do anything I can to stop this murder...It's terrible.
well in the end its true that the women does ultimately decide. The way I see it is that she should be told all the things about abortion...the REAL abortion... and hopefully she'll understand why she shouldn't get one.
Yeah people should defiantely know exactly what abortion is. It's their disision in the end but if they know what abortion is they shouldn't do it...you may as well go shoot your friend in the head. murder.
You lack any skill at all in the art of debate. I did not say I want or support the death of children- you impotent little fuck. Your weak reasoning capabilities do not allow you to be tolerant of any beliefs but your own; it is the hallmark of the ignorant. Go your bible, you're unfit for intellectual conversation.
If you and other person were standing on a street corner each with a child and a truck came screaming down the street you would get your child out the of way...but the other woman would push her child into the coming truck and allow her child to die...let's say she didn't like the way her kid was taking up to much money. Your position says it would be ok for the that child to die.
1. My parents are super catholics and I don't mind it that much. It probably helps my college application slightly.
2. I just transferred to a different catholic highschool actually. See above.
3. As far as I know, I am alive. I don't regret anything.
4. The name sounded cool to me, and I like the letter combination. Regarding the March, I didn't go anyway. I skipped that day and smoked weed, played halo, had lunch at ihop, and got drunk in the afternoon.
fanofEscriva....you are very couagious. Please be there next year. Fr.Pavone is right..nothing can stop your message from reaching out and helping others.God bless you.
hey rdex12....we heard you loud and clear.God bless you and all of your friends. See you there next year! We gotta keep praying for Prez O to CHANGE THIS!!! Personhood NOW!
It was my second year going and i'm gonna continue to travel to DC every year [despite my huge fear of planes] until Roe v Wade is DEEMED UNCONSTITUTIONAL!! :D
Great video, appropriate song! I was there and will be every year until abortion ends. I have a challenge for everyone for next year's life march...bring 5 friends with you .Lets show up one million strong!
i was there and it was one of the most amazing expieriences in my life. i am going back next year and the year after that..... haha yeah and i saw ur group hfvballchik7 i was in a group saying when i say pro you lay life pro life....
i was there!!! that was the most amazing thing i have ever done. i was with the group who chanted WHOS PRO LIFE!? SWEET MOUNTAIN MAMA WEST VIRGINIA YEE HOO!
I believe that's because the people marching hadn't got to that point on the street yet. I think the people on the side are just waiting for them to pass.
As you say, the media will not give accurate coverage to the March. If a fraction of this many people gathered for any other reason - gay rights, the war, the environment, anything - it would be the center of the media's attention. But hundreds of thousands of us meet every year to assert the dignity of human life, and the media hardly even looks at us. People need to see just how big this really is. Thank you.

@DeusEbrius Why are you in a Catholic High School?
Have you asked your parents about transferring?
More to the point, are you alive and breathing, do you regret it?
One more question... why do you use DeusEbrius?
Drunk or distraught God?
Good one Guardian... harsh though.
To your point, you will not be attacked, it isn't a pro-death march; Be prepared to give reasons why you are though.
Good jam on your site.
