  • Play it on an organ! Let's hear it!

  • this is awesome!!!

  • I don't really care for organ music but this punch is still pretty awesome. I would consider the addition of a catch basket for the waste.

  • do you know how they made it?

I have no idea what needle to use.

  • BORING

  • @kingbacon08

In fact it is, and you get a stiff neck, too!

  • I don't understand why anyone would laugh.

  • wow this so cool ya? IM joking thats not my accent.

  • @EverFlowingX

Were you going for german? If so, it would have been ja instead of ya, ya is english. So you sounded like someone from Utah or or something lol.

  • @anglerfly :

    Actually I don't :-)

  • @tussetuss how does it work??

  • What did you make this out of? and do you have to read music for this to work?

  • Very good, that was smart of you, but I have to laugh a little, and you know you did too. I gave you a 5

  • Wow this is essentially a "Leeberjan" perforator! Great work! Erector sets for the win!!!

  • Okay! IMHO, the Leabarjan resembles a knitting machine rather than a music roll punch. I've never seen one IRL though!

  • Ingenious! Now, if one could be designed for punching card...

    Thank-you.

  • Koster Waltz - a Swedish one.

  • what song are u punching there?

  • good for a portable use well done

  • Great Idea, do you have a plan or a list of parts to built this?

    Thanks

    Paul..

  • Sorry no plan - just built it as a trial and error project.

Note that it uses sveral custom made parts made of wood and bras!

  • Would this be able to punch 31 note Raffin Key Rolls?

    Paul..

  • No, as 31note rolls are wider, it would not. I recommend you take a look at the punching machine posted by YouTube user kallehalare .

  • Congratulations! A great solution to a common problem and at a very reasonable cost.

  • How do you know where to punch? Is there some kind of notches or marks on the cutter frame?

  • Of course, you first have to mark out the notes on the arranging board. Then the roll is punched, first all the bass G's (first position on tracker bar), then the punch is moved sideways to the second position (C), etc.

  • Quite ingenious. I'm impressed!
