Don't ever erase it. There are lots of Zeppelin, Page/Plant, Plant, Page, etc. boots out there. Some have more than one audience source, some just the one. There are some Zep boots (1971, 1972, and 1975) from New York where the audience comments are actually kinda funny.
These reunion videos that are posted are pretty good, but I really think DVD will do them way more justice becuase John Paul Jones is almost impossible to hear from these cell phone recordings

No I am not kidding. Just because JPJones showed up and they recorded it doesn't mean they are on the mark. I mean it is good to see something. Check out the early stuff on VH Classic live much less scripted. They are not doing anything "wrong" If you don't play together the whole thing becomes scripted and stale. They are 60 years old, I guess I shouldn't be too critical but they should play in a smaller venue.

I saw the early Van Halen videos on here and thought it sounded like shit, but after seeing them live, it sounded totally different, they fucken rocked! I saw page/Plant in 98 on their tour "walking to Clarksdale" and they rocked then, I bet if you saw them live you'd think different.
what your all forgetting to realize is that your LISTENING to a video recorded on hand held video camera. And although, the picture is great and even better if on a tri-pod, the AUDIO technology in most cameras is good, not great. So to record a live concert and have it sound like a CD is not going to happen.

I like Black Sabbath. They influenced a lot of heavy metal bands. I went to their reunion concert as well. But I've never seen a band so much global influence like Led Zeppelin. the Stones and the Beatles may have been the greatest but from what I've learned this week Led Zeppelin will probably surpass them.
Black Sabbath wouldn't have existed without Led Zeppelin being there first. I liked Paranoid back in 1973, well sort of. Then I grew up, and thought all that satanic stuff was just to scare kids. Plant is still absolutely beyond the best Ozzy.
Zep owns Beatles. Beatles can't even get close. They were the grandfathers of the modern boy bands. Sure, they got interesting once they met Dylan and marijuana, but the early Beatles stuff is all bubblegum kiddy pop. I will not deny The Beatles influence, but most of their catalogue does NOT hold up today, unlike the Mighty Zep.
Sure, you can study Beatles music in university. You can also learn Klingon. Doesn't mean either is a worthwhile subject.
Talent isn't just good playing ability. Sure Zeppelin can play stuff most other bands can't come close to and it sounds freaking awesome, but the Beatles are one of the greatest songwriting bands ever. They don't need good playing ability. I don't really think you can compare those two abilities. Its kinda a subjective argument.
Beatles and Zep are the only 2 bands that have sold for more than 300 million albums world wide. They're both good in their own way. But if I have to choose, it's Led Zeppelin.

Zeppelin was my favorite band from '76 to '88. In '88 Edie Brickell and New Bohemians released their million and a half selling first album and they replaced Zepp as my all time favorite band. I saw the early Van Halen videos on here and thought it sounded like shit, but after seeing them live, it sounded totally different, they fucken rocked! I saw page/Plant in 98 on their tour "walking to Clarksdale" and they rocked then, I bet if you saw them live you'd think different.

what your all forgetting to realize is that your LISTENING to a video recorded on hand held video camera. And although, the picture is great and even better if on a tri-pod, the AUDIO technology in most cameras is good, not great. So to record a live concert and have it sound like a CD is not going to happen.

numbers dont lie they have sold well over 300 million albums..every rock radio station across America gets the Led out every night around 9 pm or 10 pm.. no other band gets a tribute like that..Led Zeppelin were very talented brilliant musicians....I am in awe of the greatest rock band the world has ever seen...they still rock ..

I like Black Sabbath. They influenced a lot of heavy metal bands. I went to their reunion concert as well. But I've never seen a band so much global influence like Led Zeppelin. the Stones and the Beatles may have been the greatest but from what I've learned this week Led Zeppelin will probably surpass them.

Black Sabbath wouldn't have existed without Led Zeppelin being there first. I liked Paranoid back in 1973, well sort of. Then I grew up, and thought all that satanic stuff was just to scare kids. Plant is still absolutely beyond the best Ozzy.

Zep owns Beatles. Beatles can't even get close. They were the grandfathers of the modern boy bands. Sure, they got interesting once they met Dylan and marijuana, but the early Beatles stuff is all bubblegum kiddy pop. I will not deny The Beatles influence, but most of their catalogue does NOT hold up today, unlike the Mighty Zep.
Sure, you can study Beatles music in university. You can also learn Klingon. Doesn't mean either is a worthwhile subject.

Talent isn't just good playing ability. Sure Zeppelin can play stuff most other bands can't come close to and it sounds freaking awesome, but the Beatles are one of the greatest songwriting bands ever. They don't need good playing ability. I don't really think you can compare those two abilities. Its kinda a subjective argument.

These are bands that inspire you to form bands...they did a phenomenal job, jason bonham was fuckin ace and let the mother fuckers tour and show all the little bands how the big boys really do it....wil anybody remember EMO??? dont think so...and unfortunately the industry is dying and you will never ever get legendary acts like this anymore or the beatles or whoever.....

Zeppelin was my favorite band from '76 to '88. In '88 Edie Brickell and New Bohemians released their million and a half selling first album and they replaced Zepp as my all time favorite band. That was almost 20 years ago and Edie Brickell is STILL my favorite. Honestly, I haven't listened to Zepp in 20 years. 02 show sort of rekindled a little interest but not much.

Outside of this Zeppelin-biased forum you will find that MOST rock fans will tell you that The Beatles are the greatest band of all time. The Beatles had 38, I repeat, "38" top 20 hits in the 7 years that they were a recording group. Zeppelin had only "1" top 20 hit in 11 years. We can't forget The King, Elvis The Pelvis. America also gave ya'll Lynyrd Skynrd, Van Halen and Aerosmith (3 bands who were great for their first 5-6 albums only.)
