sorry deadhead71907..but in the police academy they dont make you stand there and take full blown shots with a baton....now your right about the taser and mace but not the baton....that like saying you have to be shot with your gun so you know what if feels like...if anyone does get struck with the baton its someone in a full padded suit....

most police academies will make you take hits with whatever type of baton that you will be carrying, also they mace you, departments that have officer taser deployment will give their trainees a 5 sec. hit will a taser, if you dont believe me ask a cop
