I like the song because it is universal in that it applies to everyone. Questions the status quo also. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart are artists all the way through.

Excellent song. This really put New Wave on the map. Not shown, but the main synth used in this song is an Octave Plateau, Voyetra 8. The company later became Turtle Beach which still makes soundcards and used to make music software.

Excellent comment piographica and just to add that the Eurythmics recorded their songs in a haunted old church which makes it even more amazing considering the acoustics...I've also been blessed to see Annie Lennox live with Sting in concert some years back so she rocks!
