as well as i remember it it was pretty much the same at least for the number of monsters. i used to play it at the arcade so they would not set it to easy for anything , as long as in order to play you would have had to pay . anyway .. you're good. i could not play as good as i used to after all these years. i see that you still can.
i never guessed the password .. the wizzard allyaws ran away.. i was 8 or 9 when i used to play this so i did not have even a hunch. i learned english later :)
but i used to get to the end without a flaw. that i saw you could'nt. a shame :P
I've played this game so many times and I'm sure I've reached the last boss without a flaw. Perhaps with Difficulty:easy, which is default. As you can see in the description this playthrough is with Difficulty:normal, which is a bit harder
man i played this when i was about 8 yrs old and i was as good as you, as i remember not taking any hit 'till the last boss. i tried to play about one year ago(23) and i used 100 coins to get to the end. anyway this game ruled back in '93.

If I cheated, I would also manage to get to the last boss without a flaw...
There are many parts in this vid where you can see that your energy doesn't decline although you definitely got hit by an enemy.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed your walkthrough a lot and learned how to make it to the end of the game, because I was stuck in that damn first castle...
