  • What do Alabama, Louisiana and the Southern racist states have in common? They celebrate the Confederacy and everything that is Un-American. To begin with, those who honor the Confederacy over the Union are either ignorant of history or just racists. Any honor given to those who killed thousands of Americans in an effort to oppose equality and keep slaves, makes a mockery to all the USA stands for and is an insult and a slap on the face of freedom. BOYCOTT ALABAMA!!!

  • This is at the root of the problem with the South: The Confederacy’s founders announced it themselves that they had created a republic whose “cornerstone” (as Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens declared in the "Cornerstone Speech") was the principle that “slavery, subordination to the superior race,” was the “natural and moral condition” of black Americans. Slavery was the reason for the Civil War; the other complaints were only excuses just like the excuses to hate Mexicans today.

  • Alabama honors the Confederacy rather than the Union, and anyone who honors the Confederacy, their heritage and flag are either ignorant of history or just racists. Any honor given to those who killed thousands of Americans in an effort to oppose equality and keep slaves, makes a mockery to all the USA stands for and is an insult to freedom. Why do Alabama, Texas and other Southern states celebrate (and even call “heroes”) people who stood for everything that is Un-American?

  • BOYCOTT ALABAMA!!!

  • Confederate-Secessionists Republicans, like Rick Perry, fight to dismantle individual rights such as the right to assemble, labor unions and all the American institutions that prohibit them (the States) from running the States like a Confederate plantations by maintaining slave-like employees at various locations. People need to discard all that rhetoric of the Confederacy and their “State Rights” and fight instead harder than ever to protect our “Individual Rights” while we still can.

  • Go Alabama go!!! WHOO HOO!! This is what makes this country great, standing up as LEGAL citizens, saying we are mad as h*ll and were not going to take it anymore!!

  • BOYCOTT ALABAMA!!

  • Republicans today say that they are for “small government” but they want government big enough to tell people what is morally right and wrong. They want government big enough to build fences on our borders to keep people out, get rid of all the immigrants, especially Mexicans, and big enough to solve all their social and financial problems. Above all, they want to take this country back to before the civil rights movement, all the way back to when the founding fathers had slaves.

  • Keep fighting before the State of Alabama propose a Law that takes U.S citizenship on the children of illegal immigrants for not reporting on INS and school official @Spincage incest is wrong get the picture

  • We are createing a generation of problems

Laws like the ones in Alabama and Arizona are catalysts for violence, fear, destruction, and hatred.

We once were a becon, but that light is slowly burning out.

  • all because of a piece of paper. they are creating a generation of problems, which is what republicans knows best

  • Slaves were forced here. These people are invaders.

  • Slaves were forced to come here. These people are invaders. There's a big difference.

  • @SpinCage I don't vote Party-line. I look at facts. Republicans today represent the ideas of the Confederacy, and they say that they are for “small government” when they want a government big enough to tell people what is morally right and wrong, a government big enough to build fences on our borders and big enough to solve all the social and financial problems. They want to take this country back to before the civil rights movement, all the way back to when the founding fathers had slaves.

  • What many people may fail to understand is that the "Confederates" and "Secessionists," like Rick Perry, are the same. These politicians argue for strong “STATE RIGHTS” (rather than "INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS") and that the USA Constitution is an agreement among states that can be discarded at any time without sessions and that each state has a right to secede at will.

  • @samcabazos Do your homework, the confederates and the secessionist were democrats. The constitution is a document that LIMITS federal power and PROTECTS STATE RIGHTS and individual liberties. Maybe you missed the part about the REPUBLICAN named LINCOLN that fought LIKE MY ANCESTORS along with the pale faced EVANGELICALS who were for ABOLISHING slavery. What party had "WHITE POWER" as their logo in 1966????? It was ALABAMA alright but it was not the republicans.

  • @NoiseCollector I don’t care about political parties. However, today, i see only Republicans, especially the Southern Confederate-Secessionist types, fighting for “State Rights” and trying to dismantle the rights of individuals to assemble and form unions. The US Constitution is intended to protect the People from States (governments), not the States from the People. We, the People need to forget “State Rights,” and fight harder than ever for “Individual Rights” while we still have some left.

  • @NoiseCollector Modern Republicans don’t care for the People and much less for minorities; they are only trying to make sure that society is deprived of everything (even labor) to be able to blame the current president. These days, GOP Republicans in the USA mostly promote hate against all people who are different from them, viz., all immigrants, Mexicans, Muslims, the poor, the sick, abortion doctors, teachers, gays, labor unions and most everyone who don’t fit their mold.

  • @NoiseCollector You say that the "confederates and the secessionist ‘were’ democrats.” Today, they call themselves “Republicans” or “Tea Partiers.” You are wrong to say that the Constitution is "a document that ‘LIMITS’ federal power and ‘PROTECTS STATE RIGHTS.’ The Constitution intends to protect us (the People) from governments (States). It is about our individual rights to pursue life, liberty and happiness, and it is unconstitutional for the government to treat the People like children.

  • @samcabazos Uhhh.... wrong. I support the tea party and my ancestors fought against the democrats. I descend from a native american union sharp shooter and he was a republican. What the left has blinded you to is the fact that the constitution was created to protect the REPUBLIC against TYRANNY of a federal government. Read the 10th amendment and federalist papers. You can google all this, I am not making it up. The last part sentence of yours is correct so maybe there is hope for you.

  • @NoiseCollector Today, they call themselves “Republicans” or “Tea Partiers,” and you are wrong to say that the Constitution is "a document that ‘LIMITS’ federal power and ‘PROTECTS STATE RIGHTS.’ The Constitution intends to protect us (the People) from governments (States). It is about our individual rights to pursue life, liberty and happiness, and it is unconstitutional for governments to treat the People like things or children, telling us what is moral and what is immoral.

  • @NoiseCollector You don’t know about the Dixiecrats? They were the States' Rights Democratic Party and were a segregationist political party. They left the Democratic Party in 1948 to protect the southern way of life that aimed to dismantle the federal government. Supporters assumed control of the state Democratic parties in several Southern states. The Dixiecrats opposed racial integration and wanted to retain Jim Crow laws and white supremacy in the face of possible federal intervention.

  • We need to get the A=A attitude. This means to respect what is true and acknowledge all the facts of reality. Americans of all races and cultures are mostly good people, but there are a few who have managed to cling to the racism of the South, to the “Confederacy,” to the extent of passing off the heritage of the Confederacy as part of our American heritage. Hogwash! The Confederacy is Anti-American and a culture of racism.

  • @SpinCage And just cause you are queer (that is okay; it's your choice) doesn't mean you have a woman's body. For your info, "verija" refers to the woman's private part not the man's. You are one dumb azno Confederate southerner.

  • @SpinCage Wow spinhead. Okay, i will translate. You say that you like to be put in a cage and get abused by minorites -- that you are a qay and the best guys you like to blow are big Mexicans and Jews but that your favorites are Black guys like the one you met in prison. pendejo razista!.

  • Arresting people because they are hardworking but just don't have papers and put them together with people who have killed, robbed, or raped? WOW America, nice job

  • @SpinCage Azno de natura ke no entiende su eskritura. Ask a Mexicano to read that for you, dumb azno. I know that most people are good, white, brown, black, or yellow, and all the white religious slave owning Confederate Southerner types are losing their fantasies as their legacy goes on the run and fades into the hell of shames.

  • @SpinCage I know more of your history than what you do. Only the Spanish had the ships to discover America, you dumb azno. Your ancestors were pirates, white garbage bags. That's how much you know of you're own history. You Confederate putz!

  • Racism has survived in the South. We need to get rid of everything that is associated with the Confederacy as we have done with that of the Nazis. The Civil War was brought on by a struggle between those who opposed slavery (the Union) and those who wanted to keep slaves (The Confederacy); it was not a conflict between industrialist and agriculturalist as many people believe. The Confederacy lost. Why are we celebrating these people who stood for everything that is UnAmerican?

  • Thank you, Rep. Luis Gutierrez! Please keep fighting the good fight. We will all go join you soon! We need to get rid of all that Confederate dreck! mazal bueno, brother. (good luck)

  • Hey Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez... FUCK YOU

  • What can you expect from those who celebrate and spend our tax dollars giving reverence to the LOSERS of the Civil War, the Confederate heritage, their flag and racist history? They are either ignorant of American history or just plain backward and racists. These events and people who praise the Confederates are an insult to freedom and against all that the USA stands for. Those who give unmerited honor to the criminals who fought to keep people slaves are a slap on the face of freedom.

  • does that piece of shit Gutierrez give two shakes of piss for his non-hispanic base? hell no he doesn't. When someone like that slug cares more about the citizens of other countries more than the citizens of this country, then he should be removed by the governer, who absolutely has the power to do so. Time to put the pressure on the governer in a big way.

  • won't seek healthcare? good, half the hospitals in Alabama are BANKRUPT from non-paying illegals! Alabama is the best, they got the best football and the best illegal immigration law. time for the rest of the states to catch up!

  • I have researched Alabama and I and my family will be VACATIONING in Alabama. I plan to support this state - seeking to uphold U.S. law.

  • @ExplorePearls come on down, you'll have a blast!

  • @ExplorePearls People talk about legal immigration, but know from nothing. Legal immigration hardly exists for Mexicans. People die waiting to come to the USA legally but to no avail. Alabama is part of the LOSERS of the Civil War and the Confederate heritage and either ignorant or just plain backward and racists. In Alabama politicians praise the Confederates are an insult to freedom and to all the USA stands for. They give unmerited honor to criminals who fought to keep slaves. mazal bueno

  • @samcabazos what the hell are you talking about? we allow more immigrants from mexico into the u.s. than ANY OTHER country on the planet? google it! mexico, then china, then india, then phillipines or south korea, etc.

  • Rep Luis Guiterrez seeks to represent Mexicans and foreign nationals. Why is he in the USA? Rep Guiterrez should move to MEXICO where he can fight drug cartels and the government of Mexico that abuses its people. Mexico deports illegal aliens so why isn't Rep Guiterrez there? MEXICO is where Rep Guiterrez should be living and fighting NOT the USA.

  • This is very sad! How dare Alabama do this! instead of taking steps forward Alabama is taking steps back! This is racist! Poor kids! and families! God bless Alabama the corrupt state!

  • @tony351752 we don't take steps, we take leaps and this is a huge leap forward for the people of this state. a $300 million dollar a year leap. stop crying and get over it. And stop with the racist disengenuous crap. come legal or don't come here. already seeing the effects taking place. seeing less and less illegals using WIC and EBT at the store already. maybe now some of the local hospitals can get out of bankruptcy, which non-paying illegals drove them into.

  • @ozonewdb You people talking about “legal immigration,” know from nothing. "Legal immigration" is more fiction than fact; there is no clear path to legal citizenship for Mexicans. Law abiding people die away from loved-ones every day because of waiting and trying to come to the USA legally.

  • @ozonewdb Your statement is come legal or dont come here. What about the babys that were brought here by their parents? The kids, babys had nothing to say when comming. They were brought by force. As for illegals not paying for thier hospital bills. I agree with you they should be paying their bills! However their are a handful of illegals who actually do pay hospital bills, Never get any government help and pay taxes.

  • @tony351752 the sins of the father are visited on the child. if i break the law, do you think anyone would give a crap about the effects it has on my children, hell no they wouldn't. the parents that came here and rode the entitlement train should be ashame of putting their children in a bad place. I didn't, nor did any legal citizen put them in this position. their sorry ass parents did and them alone.

  • BOYCOTT ALABAMA!! It is one thing to prevent unproductive people from migrating into our country, but it is a total different story, and there seems to be an element of racism, when we want to prevent people from coming because they are over-productive and allegedly “taking all the jobs.” Republican politicians are the ones always promoting hate against all people who are different from them.

  • @samcabazos please do! when you said boycott AZ they saw a boom in revenues. so please, knock yourselves out.
