  • I love the enthusiasm the lead guitarist puts in when playing the rift. A rift of such epic proportions deserves that much thrust! :D

  • Did they win?

  • That was awesome and classic! Boston would be proud!

  • Very good job! That guitartist is awesome!!

  • I thought the bassist was the coolest dude there. He was rockin-the-hell-out!!! Just like rock musicians should.

  • at 00:11 he says SEX GROUP...

  • Comment removed

  • the bas is a fucking genius XD good vid

  • Wow way to drown out the singer with crappy distorted chords.. Otherwise it would have been great.

  • LOL

  • Some parts good. Some parts "OW MY EARS" your drowning out the singer too. What the heck is the guy on the right doing?

  • @kickflip5999 yeah, blame the crappy setup we had to work with.. PA system was horrible, and the guitars had to be loud enough to be heard over loud high school kids (over 1000) and in the back. As for the bassist, we aren't sure lol

  • This is really awesome. It is a shame the stupid PA system ruined such a good performance.

  • @SPCLPONY thanks a lot dude. It means a lot when someone says something meaningful on this video anymore! I mean, we get it, the bass player moved a lot and the singer was a girl while Brad Delp wasn't.. Heard enough of that plenty of times over the few years this has been up here... Glad to hear that someone only has good things to say, I appreciate it, as I'm sure the rest of the guys and her would too.

  • I think that was a kick ass cover considering the limitations of some of equipment used. I would have paid to see and hear you guys again!

  • @ismfof1221 haha sure;) i just that it was funny and i just dont like death metal. headbanging is ok cause its just a stage act to get the crowd phsycked up=) (sry 4 the spelling)

  • the singer is good

  • Bass player needs to give the others what ever he took before going on stage LOL...

  • wtf is the guy on the right doing????? you dont headbang to a boston song!! you feel the flow of perfect music not headbang like a stupid shit death metal band

  • Bassist really have a rock attitude. Well done. Nice perform of all.

  • FIRE THE SINGER AND MAKE MILLIONS.

  • is there someone playing drums somewhere?

  • Bassplayer = superhero

  • the singers mic isn't that loud but i can still hear her and she can sing =D

    awesome cover!!

  • Not gonna lie when I turned this video on I was expecting an epic fail.... I was wrong! Very nice job, Boston is hard to cover!

  • Dude on the right is INTO IT!!!!!!!

  • @TheMusicCondor Thank you so much man, and believe me; we would have equalized the sound levels if we could have! Our amps were just too loud to make quieter and be heard in the back :/ And for vocals, we used the schools PA, which was (pathetically!) maxed out.. They definitely need a new sound system, but hey, it worked well enough, right? Thanks again though, I appreciate it as I'm sure the rest of the guys (and girl) do!

  • great cover, i can tell you sound good. turn the guitars down, though, and crank the vox.

  • Great cover, and the audience loved it! Boston covers are not easy to do, well done!

  • I don't know why people are making fun of the singer and bassist? They are just having a great time . They are good actually

  • Hey first of all im down with thick gals

second that bass player is at the wrong show. this dude should be covering a chill peppers song lookin like that

    PS im black...jus sayin

  • hahahaha look at the description

  • lol people didnt even notice the singer did a pretty damn good job singing. She just needs more confidence to belt out like she should. Overall, a pretty good effort. Look past the cover people, DAMN! The bassist is making a show of it. It's better than having roots on your feet. Showmanship is the other half of a live band.

  • Lol the bass player is really into the song

  • no me olvido de ti, maricona. recuerdos a la gorda de tu novia...ah, no, que a ti te va más el bajista farlopero.

  • @odiseo81 You, sir, are relentless haha. Quite an obsession you have with me! I'm honored.

  • I think they owned pretty badly

  • Nice!!!

  • This is actually pretty good. The mixing sucked, the vocals were too low.

As far as the singer, she sounds fantastic, and I think she looks fine. And I do recall a certain VERY homely singer recently becoming rather famous!

  • singer is f......

  • Nice job!

  • I think yall sounded good except the balance between insturmental and vocals. I could tell she sounded good, but really couldnt hear her!

  • Snakes enthusiasm ftw. :)

  • @thetitzzleishere hell yeah!

  • You guys did a SICKNASTY job.

  • She could be a little bit more enthused or into it!!!

  • The guy on the right is fucking awesome. Someone get that kid a beer, stat!

  • Move around a bit, the only guy who's really feeling the performance is the guy on the right. Jumping around a bit makes it less boring, and this is an easy enough song that you can do it on

  • EXCELLENT - Impressive

  • Seriously people are making fun of this? I am assuming this is high school, maybe early college? First that is a REALLY ambitious song to take on and who can sing like Brad Delp, but the music is really spot on....BRAVO!!, I commend the performance. Don't listen to any of these other people they are simply jealous and afraid of their own lives to do something so daring......AWESOME< AWESOME< AWESOME

  • Sounds really good.

  • the dude with the bas is the coolest dude ive ever seen! totally awesome keep it up man!! god song overall! very well done, but the bass dude rock!!

  • YOu guys are nuts. Music is about entertainment, and they wer entertaining. The singer was as good a Brad Delps was live and the bass player is freaking awesome - rock on man.

  • Yea dude on the rights having a ball

  • that guy on the right looks like he's having so much fun.

  • Comment removed

  • um. lol gr8 but where is the drumer? ghost? lol

  • nice, but the only criticism i have is that the singer needs to move more, she seriously looks like she has stage fright

  • absolutely awesome One damn cool Rock Band - Well Done to all the band members - YOU ROCK !!!

  • I have to say I liked that performance a lot, but that can really only be said about the Guitars due to sound quality. From what I did hear of the singer I don't think she sounded too bad, just a shame It's hard to hear her. Bassist, nice work ;)

  • I think the singer is a perfect weight tbh all of the trolls are just jealous because they're fat lay abouts who sit at home all day flaming people over the internet

  • The singer is not fat..she is just big boned

  • @dongtingwong Well, that's the nicest thing anyone has said about her. I'll give you that. But no, she was normal sized. I just think most people here are stereotypical or self conscious about their own weight.

  • @hvrock13 jajajaja, es una GORDA y dices que es normal...ponte gafas, LEONARDO. Te pone brutote la gorda, ¿eh? Podría ser eso considerado como zoofilia? Porque menudo ballenato...

  • @hvrock13 Big boned=fat. still worth a laugh.

  • @dongtingwong

lol, you had me rolling on the floor dude, ha!

nice job by the band and the singer!

  • @dongtingwong very big damn bone

  • @mindsouljah She must have a big bone in her ass!

  • Dang it sucks when you know each person in the band has talent but you can't hear it because of volume issues (guitar is way too loud, vocals way too quiet). Btw, your camera is awful.

  • @drgnfrc13 In reality, it could have sounded perfectly equalized to the people up closer. You take what you can get in a high school auditorium sound-wise. We didn't get a sound guy or anything, and to get our guitars to be heard in the back we had to crank em. Unfortunately, the school P.A. couldn't compete, but we had to get the sound to the back. And yeah, thats what you get when you have to zoom all the way in with your camera. Every zoom degrades quality.

  • @odiseo81 If you want to see hvrock13´s brother, search in youtube: LEONARDO DANTÉS. The same face, hair and gay style. You all know this guy, who gets angry and cries with his mum when someone says something he doesn´t like. He only wants you to lick his homosexual ass. hvrock13, you are a little doll. NENAZA.

  • @odiseo81 You're too funny odiseo81. More jokes, more I say!

  • @hvrock13 Thank you very much, I know you love me, but don´t tell it to the singer-walrus, I think she likes you, and could destroy me. It would be like an elephant fighting against an ant.

  • The bass player rocked the fuck outta that bass. Motherfucker can play bass for me any day.

  • Don't listen to them you guys did a great job

  • Great job you guys. Excellent groove.

  • that solo is so kick-ass

  • Im sure it sounded alot better in person. Singer sounds good but needed to be louder. bassist makes this video funny lol. Nice, 4 out of 5

  • The solo was sick.

  • dude, the bassist made this video 10x better

  • Where r u guys from cuz the singer looks like somebody I know

  • @Jsoccer4lyfe Well this was at Moline High School in Moline, IL. Part of the Quad Cities. Everyone in this was from Moline except me and the singer, we lived just outside of Moline in Coal Valley. Same school district though. What's the name of the person you know?

  • @hvrock13 Oh nevermind then I don't know just looks like somebody I know. Good cover to bad about the quality of the camera though. The ony thing that dindt really work was the singer. I am sure she is probably really good singer just its really hard to try to sing a Boston song because Brad Delp's voice was so unique and for a girl, its even harder. Props for good cover and having the guts to go on stage and play man I wish I could lol.

  • im pretty sure i can hum the bass part better

  • @chuston4 How can you even hear it?

  • @chuston4

im pretty sure that u don't know how to play bass.

  • @LikkerDicker you would be right, i just commented for fun

  • the only good is the guitar lol i play guitar too and the good thing with guitars is that in covers if u know the song u dont make mistakes the bass fails and the singer wtf

    GUITARS FTW

  • @gang1337grace I wish the audio weren't so poor of quality so you could hear the bass. If you'd look past his stage persona and if you could actually hear him, you'd see he actually is very dedicated and extremely talented. The camera just couldn't handle the low frequencies. Same with singing, I wish the PA could've been louder. She's actually very good. The monitors and PA speaker were very old and poor quality though. We turned up our amps so the audience could hear them too. bad mix

  • @hvrock13 she was the worse thing that day

  • @gang1337grace actually, I'd consider myself the worst that day. I made a big mess up in the solo. But she actually was really good from what we could hear up there. She was one of the solo vocalists in choir, she's very good. How could you know if she was so bad if you can't really even hear her? That's like calling someone ugly when you've never seen them.

  • @hvrock13 good one dude xD

  • Bassist is amazing ! Guitars are WAYYYYYYY too loud and theres too much distortion on the supposedly "lead" guitar. None of these modern guitarists can setup a half decent tone on their amps.

  • @DarkDecify I think its more like modern digital cameras still can't capture sound very well. You know, the tiny little cell phone-quality microphone inside of it distorts it a lot. It really wasn't that bad sounding in real life. We just didn't have pro equipment to record it. And trust me, I'm not a really a "modern" guitarist. I'm into blues, old stuff. Tone is just as important as technique to me. I spend forever getting the best sound out of my amp that I can.

  • @hvrock13 Ok, its just ya need ta tone down that distortion. I hope that bassist is still with you.

  • @DarkDecify Like I said, it wasn't really that distorted in real life. The low quality mic of the camera distorted the sound. It's hard to describe, but its kinda like if you blast music out of a tiny speaker, it gets distorted. Same with microphones. If they have a small frequency pick-up range, they overdistort when picking up loud noise. Trust me, EVERYTHING was loud up there. The more trebley guitars just distorted the mic more. I actually haven't talked to the bassist since this haha.

  • @hvrock13 GET HIM! :)

  • Don't let the haters get you down. Unlike them, you have the guts to go out and do it. It's a shame the audio isn't better cuz from what I could tell, it sounded like your singer could actually hit the high notes Rock On!!

  • i thought it was pretty good. shame about the vocals being so low but from what i heard, she hit all the right notes. damn hard song to sing.

  • Where can I hit the big gong? This is a joke video right? Right? You cannot even hear the vocals over the horribly mixed instruments and bad playing.

  • @kevintwilson Does it look like its a professional recording? I think people forget to realize its a school talent show. We aren't professional, we aren't even a band. This was a one time, last minute thing. I'd say it went pretty damn well for last minute.

  • @hvrock13 sorry dude. it was not good at all. if you are afraid of honest criticism, do not post online. just post it on your facebook/myspace page so your friends can tell you how marvelous it was.

  • @kevintwilson I wouldn't consider your comment as constructive, I'd say its more like you being a dick. I don't care if you don't think its good, you don't have to get on here, act all high and mighty, and talk down upon us. Do you have anything on here to even back up your opinion like it matters? No. So shut the fuck up. I honestly just don't get why people like you feel the need to be an asshole. You aren't cool, you look like an arrogant, immature internet troll.

  • @hvrock13 Who cares what you think? You posted this video on youtube and expected everyone to say how great it was when it is obviously not. I everyone that disagrees with you talking down to you and acting high and mighty? Are you that insecure? Ahhh, the famouse "troll" assigned to anyone that does not agree with your opinion. Good luck you insecure dork, you will need it. By the way, the performance was indeed horrid. So STFU.

  • @kevintwilson And who cares what you think? Can you give me a good reason as to why you feel the need to come off as a dick with your comment? I see no logical, mature reason. It's people like you that make the world such a shitty place. If you don't have anything good to say, why say anything? Just because you want to make someone feel like shit, which therefore makes you a troll. I don't care if you think the performance is horrible, but at least be grown up and constructive with criticism.

  • @hvrock13 Obviously you care what I think as you keep responding to my comments... you are not too bright are you? Forget to breathe today? Forget to brush your tooth today? The only comments you want to read are people saying how great you were otherwise they are trolls. Grow up you dumb ass. Have you read the comments below? The performance sucked. Perhaps you cannot think properly over all the virtual booing in the postings. Horrid performance, plain and simple... complete waste of electrons.

  • @kevintwilson I'm not trying to change your opinion on our performance obviously. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Theres just a difference between commenting respectfully and coming off as rude and arrogant. You came off as the latter. I honestly don't care if you thought we were bad, I'm just embarrassed that there are people out there like you that feel the need to point out everyones flaws. If anything, at least give some tips since you seem to be such an expert at this stuff.

  • @hvrock13 You could not change my opinion even if you tried. Dude, if you want to play music, get ready for criticism. The performance was obviously terrible so associated comments will follow. Shouldn't you be practicing? Let me rephrase... you definitely should be practicing and stop your whining. Booooo!

  • @kevintwilson I never said I was going to try. It seems you're just trying to keep a fight going here. That's a sure sign of trolling if I've ever seen one. Yes, I know people will and won't like me. I get criticism, and it doesnt really bother me. I'm just disturbed that people feel the need to contact the person with such hate and dislike towards the person just to make themselves feel better. I'm sorry for you, it seems you've been hurt in life at some point.

  • @hvrock13 No, I have never been hurt but thanks for caring. I am simply a person that recognizes an absolutely horid performance and stated as such. People that do not agree with you are not trolls. I have no hate in my heart just the echo of an atrocious performance in my ears, thanks for that. I actually feel sorry for you that you want everyone to agree with you, or they are branded trolls, because you will have a very rough life. Dude, you suck. Move on.

  • @kevintwilson Are you sure you haven't? it really seems like you have been hurt. I just think you have hard feelings against musicians. Maybe your parents wouldn't buy you a guitar when you were young? Whatever tragic event happened in your life, I'm truly sorry and I'm here to talk if you need a friend. I mean, no one should be that pessimistic about life! I'm here for you buddy. I won't move on until you're cured. I'm not giving up on you.

  • @hvrock13 Wow, you are as stupid as the performance is horrid. Actually accusing people of being hurt because they state the obvious that the band is terrible? Stating that an obviously horrendous performance is being pessimistic? It is called being realistic. So I suggest that you remove your rose-colored glasses, put down the instrument that you obviously cannot play, and get ready for a life at the drive-thru window.

  • @kevintwilson Such harsh words can only mean that you're crying for help in this painful world. I can tell this is your way of taking out your pain and stress, but I must tell you that it is the wrong way. You might want to see a therapist, it seems you might have what they call "agitated depression." Its where instead of being said, you just are very hateful and angry, because you've been treated poorly and are, deep down, depressed. Just get some treatment and you'll feel great in no time man!

  • @hvrock13 Only someone that thinks the performance was good, when it was so obviously terrible and unskilled, would call my honest comments "harsh". You are one of those dumb asses that think everything he does is great because mommy always told you so, although she was lying. Now get dressed for the drive-thru shift because music is definitely not your thing. Learn this phrase "you wanna super-size that order?"

  • @kevintwilson You're right, my mom loves to listen to me play. I wish sometimes she had a better ear for tone, because i'll play through such a terrible amp on purpose and ask her how it sounds, yet she says beautiful! I can't take her seriously with music. Hey.. How come you know that phrase so well? You must be employee of the month at burger king! I hope I'm as good a cashier as you someday. I'll try hard to match your skill.

  • @hvrock13 of course you mom likes to listen to you... she has too because you are her talentless son. Even Mohamed Atta's mom said he was a "good boy". Now you are blaming your amp? The problem is you, not the equipment. You could not match the skill of a drive-thru window attendant because you refuse to accept the reality that you blow goat. Sell your instruments on eBay... and cheap. Booooooo! Booooooo!

  • @kevintwilson Aren't you so funny, you should really be a comedian! Sorry my response is so delayed, I've got many more important things to concern myself with. I'm sure you're mom likes to listen to you play too, so don't be jealous! You're mommy loves you too =] As for the amp, I meant I will play a cheap amp and ask her opinion on the tone, and she can't tell a bad amp from a good one, you know? I'm not sure how to blow goat, but I'm sure you could teach me very well. Get back to me bud.

  • @hvrock13 Actually, your reply is delayed because you could not think up a valid excuse for sucking so bad on stage. Sure your amp was cheap... only a poor musician blames his instruments/equipment but you are so bad, you could actually blame God and people would believe you since your playing borders on blasphemy (big word for you I know... look it up). As for how to blow a goat, ask you dad.

  • How about you lick the sweat off my balls you donkey-rimmer. Oh, and by the way your Justin Beiber haircut makes you look like an A-grade juvenile cum dumpster.

And next time you are playing a gig, tell the fat girl to stay home and eat a can of cheeze whiz.

  • @ncar0842 You're going to judge me based on my haircut, that you are viewing on a blurry video taken from a far distance? You are an A-Grade troll, congratulations. I appreciate your attempt at constructive criticism, but try a little harder next time. No one can take you seriously when all you spew is hatred. It sounds more like you have something against me personally, rather than the performance itself.

  • @ncar0842 Ha. It's too bad that you hate both yourself and your life so much that you have to insult people on YouTube in order to give yourself some semblance of self-worth. Perhaps you should take your own advice, i.e. sit at home with a can of cheese whiz and stop polluting the Internet with your asinine negativity.

  • great singer, just needs to work on balance. sweet cover.

  • Great job. Real guitars, real musicians. Check out April Wine's video for I Wanna Rock... another great rock band with guitars all over the place. Not the fastest, not the most technical, just great rock n roll.

  • I feel bad, cause from what i heard, your singer is great (Not fantastic tone, but in tune which is something), but she was almost completely drowned out by everyone else. the instrumentals sounded pretty good tho!

  • This is the problem with all bands on youtube, can't you do a ****ing soundcheck before you start :@:@:@:@

  • @DarkDecify We did.. This is the best it could get. We weren't really using the PA for anything besides vocals, too. And no matter what, the vocals would get drowned out by the drums and audience. I'll admit, our amps were a little loud, but it wouldn't have mattered either way. The audience wouldn't shut up, we couldn't quiet the drums, and the PA system was an ancient 50 year old giant speaker in the ceiling, facing the, not the audience. It was the best we could do with what we had.

  • @hvrock13 Nice gear ;)

  • Great on the high notes, great job everyone. This is the greatest song in Rock in roll..........

  • girl singing boston, ouch

  • @flipski909 What's wrong with that? Some girls are damn good singers, check out heart.

  • What the fuck?! They suck balls what is this shit rock band???

  • @jonathantchapman Talking about shit rock band, check out your favorites.. Fall Out Boy? Really?

  • Lots of dicks commenting. I thought it was good.

  • Heh, the kid on the right.

  • Hey, This an amazing show. Im looking to cover this one very soon. You should look at my covers to give you an idea of more songs to cover. But Very nice Job

  • I thought she was going to eat the microphone.

  • @ncar0842 Wow, you're an ass.

  • BAD singer but the rest was great the bassist gettin into the action u guys can learn from him:p !

  • @mulletpower2009 The singer was actually good. She was just overpowered by all the noise.

  • base player needs to calm down its not Metallica.

  • @sadbutsandman91 Its music, he can express himself however he wants.

  • @sadbutsandman91 dumbass, it doesnt matter. he feels good, let him to what he wants. and plus metallica isn't any good to headbang to anyway.

  • ROFL look at the bassist trying to get some attention. Yea good cover i hope you guys won first place. But the amps sound like shit.

  • i hear some line 6 garbage amps.... and a rather rubbish singer. which is worse? :p other than that very good guitar playing. but please, run those guitars thru some decent tube amps.

  • @theARMONexchange No line 6 amps were used, only marshalls. They were valvestate, so they had tube preamps and a solid state power section. Its hard to find 100% tube amps around here, without buying insanely expensive amps from guitar center.

  • This makes me want to go watch that Final Countdown video.

  • @hastyberford Thanks, asshole.

  • whos the fat chick singing? she sucks

  • @Dylanscott21 Fuck off.

  • I just had my talent show did this song, carry on my waward son, through the fire and flames, thunderstruck... ect. All I'm saying, as a guitarist, it was a little off but kept you afloat. You can't even hear the singer, the bass... well thats all you need to say, drums, well to tell you the truth, could possibally do better without. All in all, practice makes perfict. And anyone would be cheering when you were done cuz they're getting out of class. Like I said, defently need to practice.

  • @fletcherjeff55 Well, first off, you're being kind of a douche at the end of your comment. At least thats what I got from it. It seems like you're considering yourself better, which doesn't help make me want to take your "advice" seriously. I really doubt you could analyze this video that much to criticize everything, what with it being close to inaudible. It was loud in there, and this was a cheap camera. Guess you had to be there, amateur recordings always sounded better in person.

  • @hvrock13 I'm just saying dude. So you can go back to winning about everything else.

  • @fletcherjeff55 Winning about everything else?

  • @fletcherjeff55 you get mad at me for my commet? Look at all the others! My god

  • @fletcherjeff55 Yeah I go to this school, I was there, we were cheering cuz there were 2 chicks fighting outside, but we were clapping for that awesome bass players performance.

  • @desertdude1234 Kind of a late reply here, but really, there was a fight? I didn't even hear about it. But yeah, Jake was pretty wild up there.

  • @hvrock13 Amazing, people cheering because of a cat fight while you thought they were cheering the performance on stage... priceless ignorance. Rock on!

  • @kevintwilson Oh don't be silly, that auditorium is set up where there's a door to the outside in the front by the stage, only people in the front row would be able to see. I wish I couldv'e seen it! I was too blinded by stage lights though. I think you misread what he said though, they WERE cheering for the bass players performance! I'm glad some people enjoyed his immense skill at bass. He's really devoted. We definitely will rock on! And you too, okay man? Rock on!

  • @hvrock13 I was there you moron. You suck! Plain and simple. The truth hurts I guess but projected excuses on others (i.e. hurt in their life, trolling, etc) just makes you look like a complete whiny moron on top of a bad musician.

  • @kevintwilson Oh really? I'd guess your name is Kevin Wilson. I'll have to look you up in the yearbook. But so I know you really were there, what else was played in that talent show? But really man, I honestly think you have some deeper issues that you need to get taken care of right away. Not fun having all that anger build up in your head, I'm sure. I don't think I'm whining at all, I'm just looking out for you! Don't let your stress get the best of you.

  • @hvrock13 wow, you are are stupid as you play bad. ever heard of an alias? you real name is hvrock13 and that is what your ID cards show? get an education. and you "deeper issues" to deflect the reality of your horrid playing is just plain sad. most of your classmates felt the same way, I heard them saying as such while watching. no stress here pal, but you seemed stressed by continually trying to deflect the main topic of this debate... your lack of musical talent. focus!

  • suck suck suck and more suck!!!!

  • @jaredwilder88 And I suppose you can do so much better, am i right?

  • the bassist is getting into it big time xD

  • LMFAO@ THE BASS PLAYER

    YAAA BUDDY!!!

    good cover

  • bit of a mixing prob, but i think it sounds great. i have been trying to find people interested enough in this song. hard to find respect for the classics anymore. def a like in my views

  • Bass player probalby killed a few brain cells banging his head like that.
