Well - not to bad, go to start of slow on a praking lot, just a couple of things.

1. Wear protective gear - not just the helmet.

2. Be prepared that the plastic on the bike will be damaged if teaching someone to drive, or use a bike without plastics or with extra protectors :)

A scooter is not a good start, better with a smaller bike with a manual gearbox to get the right concept from the start...A sports bike is a fairly hard bike to run, poor position for the driver and usually fairly heavy.

All of you saying that bike is way too big, its a Ninja 250. I'm a guy, 21 years old, 120lbs, and this is the first bike I learned on and still own. I now have a Ninja 600 and I can STILL handle that bike. The only people that can't handle riding, are the ones that wont get on it in the first place. Size has nothing to do with ability to hold the bike, she just had no experience.

A ninja 250 is a tiny bike. Someone who's 5 foot could ride one easily. My 46Kg/100lb 5'3" girlfriend passed her test on a CB500, which is much bigger and heavier.

I know of too many example of people killing themselves with bikes in parking lots to be ignorant of just how dangerous riding in them without gear can be.
