  • Can you tell me the song playing in background?

    Epic Arcade Stick BTW

  • @DDRPenguins72 That's the Street Fighter 4 Crowded Downtown stage music.

  • go to kinkos and have them print it on the best paper they have. then lami-label it. the art that is.

  • i love my joysticks like i love my woman, loose.

  • ha! i got my te from work for 40 bucks. it was bought as the se and i got a hella good deal.

i modded it with a Cthulhu, sanwa and seimitsu buttons, three sanwa, three mitsus. 30's.

jlf with cherry microswitches, a octo gate, versus city art with a armed police batrider "move list"

orange ball top, pink, purple and green sanwa obsf plungers and black enclosures.

and the seimitsus are black and white.

the start and select buttons are sanwa 24 yellow.

    its pimp tight.

  • Chun li fans thumps up!!!

  • does putting your own artwork void the warranty?

  • Like the stick, you know if take that red part out and spray it blue and use like 8 coats of vinyl coating, I think it would look better.

  • This is friggin Sick!

  • It looks really awesome and everything the only thing i have agents a plexi cover is that it raises up waaay to high it stick out like a sour thump. since Lamination is not really a good option cause when you cut the holes and edges it has almost always bubbles up enough where it ruins the whole stick, even with the thick laminate. Is there any way to get a protective clear seal on it?

  • That's a lot of work and cost. Just have someone do it at kinko's :D

  • hey , how do you print out the artwork . Do you need a special paper like glossy or matte ?? and if you do can you use it on a regular printer then print it off

  • @bankaivsnaruto

Use glossy photo paper, "Legal" size or cut an "A3" size sheet to fit your inkjet printer.

  • @seekerjet You get gloss paper then print it out with a normal printer

  • @bankaivsnaruto Yea but you get no protection With just the paper, at least Lamination you get a protective layer over the art preserving it and protecting the paper and the image from wear and tear

  • @seekerjet i got a hori RAP 3 and if i print out my template wit glossy photo paper it should match up with my stick? and what are the dimensions of the paper you used?

  • @hiphoplivs

If your template is based on the predefined HRAP3-template it will fit. I used A3 paper.

  • @seekerjet I find that Chun-Li picture a lot but I want to know how you got the SSFIV logo and Capcom logo on there.

  • @seekerjet never glossy

make sure the psd is at 100% , print at 300dpi on 80lb matte

  • Great job !

Love the music too. What version of chun-li's theme is it ?

  • What size did you get the plexi glass? and how thick is it? Where did you print out your art, and is it laminated?

  • @Luigi0136

Standard size and I printed my art myself.

  • @seekerjet where did you buy the plexi glass?

  • @Luigi0136

    tek-innovations. com

  • very nice

  • nice ... i would love to do this for my TE stick but how can i get this awesome theme

  • how to change Photo on Arcade Stick ? like this.?

  • how do change the template thats sick

  • it is possible to go to kinko's print out the artwork and put it on the stick without having the pixi glass?

  • @FriedxTofu

Yes, but the artwork can scratch and fade away without plexi.

  • @seekerjet what if i laminate it?

  • @FriedxTofu

Laminating would help but it would still be vulnerable to wear.

  • not my favorite character.... but pretty cool

  • did you make this yourself?

can I buy it please you beast?

  • @narnia737

I didn't make the stick if that's what you mean. I just edited the artwork, printed it, cut it, purchased a replacement laser-cut plexiglass plate and assembled the artwork with the plexi to the stick. It's not for sale. It's the stick that I use.

  • where can I buy this joystick? (chun li)

  • Very nice

  • Thanks!

  • quick question y dnt u just show us wat u did on ur computer im sure u saved it

  • I did image editing. It takes hours to edit a template because of the erasing, matching, etc. It would never fit in a 10 minute video.

  • i was actually thinking u do a simple one that hardly needs any work done like chun-li on front and a logo in the bottom, plain background, you could then show us the start of what u done then skip to what it should look like afterwards then moving on to ur next instructions and skip again, at the end you tell us what you did after photoshop, im thinking that would be around 20 mins so you might have to do 2 parts but im sure it would be worth it because a lot of people would appreciate it

  • Good idea. I might make a tutorial soon because I've been receiving messages from other SF players as well who ask how to edit a template. I must add that I don't have or use Photoshop. I use The Gimp, which is a free Photoshop-like program but the principles are the same. I can't say when I make the video but I've been thinking about it for a while.

  • what paper did you use for your theme

  • High-gloss photo paper in A3 format.

  • thanx mang but i forgot to ask can i buy it from rite-aid or staples

  • hey dude its the SFIV stick really worth the money i want 1 for christmas, plus can you make a video testing it out in practice mode

  • The SFIV stick uses the same parts as the SFIV arcade cabinet (Sanwa JLF-TP-8-Y stick and OBSF-24/30 buttons). It's heavy and extremely sturdy. It is 100% worth the purchase. I wanted to make a training mode video but I'm not very good. Check out Maj (sonichurricanedotcom) for good training mode videos.

  • @seekerjet yes i got the round 2 at gamestop they only had 1 ahahah thats my christmas gift im cursed to look at it but my dad is wrapping it today :(

  • The last one?! Luckyyyy!! =)

Well, at least you can dream about it 'til Friday! I assure you that TE stick will give you the true arcade experience! The Sanwa parts are not just "somewhat better". They are true industrial quality. The regular consumer-level micro-switch joysticks are not in the TE stick's league at all. You will feel that right away when you start to use it.

  • @seekerjet i keep hearing it lives up to the hype. but i have to see it to believe it. be sure to tune in to my unboxing on friday lolz

  • When you have a TE Stick, the network response will be the bottleneck, not the input device.

  • @seekerjet whats the bottleneck?

  • input lag on slow connections

  • @seekerjet but can you notice a difference when you use a stick online? since its wired you get a cleaner connection right?

  • The wire of your stick is not the limit. The wire will not make the input faster compared to a wireless Bluetooth Dual Shock 3. What you do need is to set your HDTV to Game Mode and use a network cable instead of Wi-Fi. From that point on, you need to play against opponents with decent connections but there will always be lag unless your opponent lives nearby. Having a cable for your stick doesn't influence network speed at all.

  • @seekerjet im using a wired connection i plan on going wireless. is that a bad thing? Also, im talking about when i push a button on the stick im talking about how responsive it is compared to the Standard controller, thats why i got it for faster response time isnt that what its all about?

  • Don't do Wi-Fi. It's horrible. It just can't cope with the response needed for a game like SFIV. Wireless Bluetooth for the controller is a whole different thing than Wi-Fi for your Internet connection. On the controller, you just have to input one signal after another. Through your network for the communication with PSN/CAPCOM/your opponent, you have to send a lot more data.

  • @seekerjet So if i stick to a wired connection my TE stick responsiveness will be faster right?

  • Let's discuss this in private messages.

  • @seekerjet whered ya get the art? everytime i find that pic its too small to fit the TE stick template without nasty stretching.

  • @xkeltoix

go to google images and use advanced mode to select the large images option. Or go to deviantart.

  • @seekerjet Did ArtGerm let you use this pic of Chun Li...?

  • hey bro will it look cool if i just take off the cover because mine is all scrached and messed up i dont know if i can actually take it off.

  • You can take it off. There is a metal plate under the cover. The metal plate doesn't look very interesting to watch though. What you can do is buy "Displex". That's fluid plastic. It looks like a very small tube of tooth paste. You can put a drop on the scratch and polish it. It will get warm and when it's dry, it has become clear hard plastic. Your cover will look brand new. You won't see the scratches because the Displex has merged with the plexi.

  • thanks you da man =)

  • Rockin th chun-li :P nice, im rockin the marvel vs capcom tournament stick.

    Does that have sawna parts?

  • @wiih8ps3

All Tournament Edition sticks are the same with the same parts. They just come with different artwork/colors.

  • congradulations diick hole

  • Dont understand?

  • i was replying to some one else not you dnt be offended ur awesome

  • i like how you respond to every thing bro ur aawesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • No problemo.

  • DANG thats hot

  • Very nice custom picture

  • Thnx bro.

  • I have a Canon Pro 9000 Inject Photo printer will that one do the job? do i has to remove the stick in order to put that on? I plan to get PS3 Real Arcade Pro. 3-SA

  • Mine is a Canon 4200 of a couple of years old and prints in very high resolution and excellent colors. Any recent printer already has superb print quality. The only way to distinguish the printers from each other nowadays is the amount of extra features. For the HRAP3-SA you can also get a custom plexi cover and do this mod.

  • Do i has to remove the back of the stick in order to install the new cover?

  • Nope, only the top.

  • Lol nice music

  • hehe

  • hey man will u ever do a vid on how to do this cuz i cant find one

  • The video description should suffice. To do this, you just need to unscrew it, remove the buttons/wires and put your artwork in there. It's self-explainatory once you open your TE. Don't worry about the wires because they're color-coded with a simple scheme on the plastic. It can't go wrong.

  • hi man nice work,

may i know wot program u used and were i can find a template.

i also have one of these sticks and wanna change the art

    thanks

  • Thnx. It's all written in the video description.

  • Thanks for the guide.

Do you recommon gloss photopaper only?

I have an option to print at a print for a pretty low price.. they do however only offer gloss paper (non photo), I'm afraid it isn't thick enough..

  • As long as it is glossy and high resolution it is suitable. Actually thinner paper is better because the buttons would mount deeper in the openings. For optimum print quality glossy photo paper is recommended. If your print shop offers a high resolution print on thin glossy paper it is a good deal.

  • What was the original resolution of the picture you used?

I have a pretty high res picture but it looks pretty blurry zoomed up on the template in photoshop.

Would this be a problem after being printed?

  • You need to use a very high resolution image. If it's high resolution, it shouldn't look blurry when scaled. Try to use The Gimp instead of Photoshop and see if it makes any difference. When the resolution is higher than your monitor resolution, it shouldn't look blurred on scaling. Use lanczos3 for scaling.

  • Nice art mod, but it would have looked alot better if you painted the bezel. Blue surround would look better

  • Yup. I want to keep the original parts intact because I will change artwork from now and then.

  • Very nice!!!! \m/

  • is it possible to art mod the te stick without the plexi cover?

  • It's possible but you will need high gloss paper for the shine and the print won't be protected.

  • hey men the picture of chunli you put in just up of the other picture and put some plastic protector? or you are using thje plastic protector of the stick?

  • Just a question, where did you manage to find the A3 format size paper, I keep looking around here at stores and most clerks don't even know what I'm talking about. (figures) I haven't found much luck online, it seems to be a standard UK format, what is the specific kind of paper do you use, and do you order from online? If so I would love a link!

  • I just googled A3 paper and found a webshop that's located in my country. You can also use the "Legal"-format instead of A3. "Legal" is a taller version of A4 which is exactly what you need. I found out about "Legal" when I already ordered A3 so you can try to find that format. A3 is indeed hard to find, I had to search for a while.

  • sorry just read your comment box on the video, thanks again.

  • Alright man.

  • were did u get that arcade stick im a chun-li player i want 1

  • I got mine at a local shop.

  • seriously I have an tournament edition arcade stick, is there any way to somehow turn it into a chun li one like this one???

  • With some dedication and patience, you can.

  • can you explain to me where you got your artwork printed, and how much it costed. also, any additional things i have to buy and how would it cost? awesome stick btw

  • i dont need a special plexi cover to put new art in do i?

i dont see why i would, i'm going to goto kinkos tomorrow and print a new graphic.. get back to me fast incase for some reason i have to order a special plexi cover in order to change the graphic.

    thanks

  • You need to buy a laser-cut transparent cover for the TE stick. When you open your TE stick you will see that the paint of the artwork is applied directly on the plexi, making it impossible to use the existing cover for your own artwork. So yes, you need to buy a new transparent one.

  • Beautiful work! This has definitely inspired me to create my own work, I'm so glad you sent a link as to where I could buy the plexi I've been searching all over, your description is easy to follow and very detailed for anyone to be able to do it. Thanks a lot!

  • No problem. I'm glad I could help. That plexi cover adds a lot of value to a TE stick. I just changed mine to a BlazBlue theme (seen in my latest video).

  • duz anybody know wur to find different bezel colors? i seen a black one and a neon green one on google images but no websites.

  • They simply spray-painted the bezel.

  • so many ppl have that art on their stick. My stick has custom art I made so Ill know no one else will have it

  • I made different custom artwork but I haven't printed all of them yet.

  • why chun li ??

  • Because Chun-Li is great!

  • shes the strongest woman in the world, what more do you want?

  • @spacemonkey789 because Chun Li is awesome.

  • Awesome stick. My only complaint is that the dust cover blocks some of Chun's face.

  • With the dust cover being used, it's impossible to get her face fully viewable on the stick, no matter how you move/scale it. I enlarged the picture to get enough of her face on it without sacrificing too much of the artwork that's out of range.

  • did you put plexiglass?

  • yes

  • it doesn't show dirt or scratches.

  • or does it

  • It's plexi so it does absorb hand prints, just like any other plexi-like surface (PSP, PS3, etc.).

  • i have just got gimp. i open the mad catz file and all is fine then i go to open the art work which opens but i dont get how to add it to the template. please help.

    cheers man.

  • You need to use the Layer panel. Add a new layer on top of the Background layer and copy your artwork in the new layer. The artwork will be under the button holes and the frame will cut off the unwanted area around the artwork.

  • after pissing around for a bit i have got the art on the template and its under the button holes, but its a tiny rectangle in the middle how do i make it fill the template?

  • Use the scale tool to stretch it. Make sure to set on "keep aspect-ratio" and Lanczos3 to keep the relative dimensions and details.

  • heart pounding

  • Please the artwork, is it a stick on, or..... cos urs has the same perfect finish the original artwork had. Please i also want to know the kind of printing paper u used. Thanks .

  • All artwork can be found using google. The used paper is high gloss photo paper. It's thick and very high quality paper needed to display the resolution of the artwork.

  • i just got my TE stick today got lucky my gamestop .....was it hard to do this little mod???

  • It takes patience when you cut out the holes in the template.

  • Posting a Video on how to do this will be a big help.

    Thanks for the tips anyway.

  • Next time I change the theme I will shoot some extra footage to accompany the tutorial written in the description of this video. The most important thing is to double-check print size of your file that you're about to print and to take as much time as you need.

  • nice freakin stick. Yes! Please bro, do a vid on going thru photoshop. I just got my stick last week, but can't find much on the photoshop sided. Thanks

  • Thanks. I don't have Photoshop though. I use Gimp. They're similar. You need to download the MadCatz TE stick mock-up. Open it, add a new layer. Paste your artwork on the new layer and finish the details around the buttons or stick if you wish. Then export it to a lossless format.

  • wow man excellent work. can u do a tutorial on this it would be greatly appreciated by me and a lot of my friends who got the stick. we wanna change the art work also and seen others but your looks really clean. please help.

  • Thanks. I will write a tutorial in this video description.

  • u have ant tips on taking out the stock buttons, mys dont seem to come off.

  • While you press the 2 tabs on the side of the buttons, wiggle the button until you hear clicks. Those are clicks from the upper step-shaped edge of the buttons against the edge of the holes. Keep wiggling and pushing until the buttons come out. The 1st time you remove the buttons they are very tightly mounted so keep trying until they pop out.

  • no the plugs connected to the buttons my bad.

  • MAN i need one ! GREAT QUALITY =) it looks like it could take a beating

  • The top panel has a thick steel plate underneath and the whole housing is thick sturdy plastic. It weighs in at 3 kg. The joystick component uses very strong metal parts which can take the most rough treatment. They are the same parts as the official SFIV arcade cabinet. I highly recommend getting one. It's expensive, but truly worth it.

  • how much did this one cost

  • $240 although the retail price is $150. It's nearly impossible to get it for the retail price though.

  • Yep is worth to pick one. but i recommand you to not get the standard edition one

  • Why would I get the SE if I have this one :P But I did get the SE before and sold it.

  • That is really really good looking Amigo

  • Thanks bro!

  • Can you show us a tutorial how this is done please

  • I just sent you instructions. Good luck!

  • That is one nice stick

  • Thanks man.

  • hahaha....

    *_*

  • Hahaha... Sorry... My head is in the gutter right now....

  • cool artwork!

  • Yup, I wish I knew who made that Chun-Li artwork. I guess it's not official Capcom artwork, but made by an artist on deviantart. His autograph is on the artwork.

I took that Chun-Li wallpaper, added the splashes around the buttons and some Capcom and SFIV logos.
