  • this is very interesting.. i give my sympathy to their family and friends...

  • wow

  • We will never forget them. God bless those lost and injured, their family, their friends and Texas A & M.

  • we will always remember 2:42 am 11-18-99....

  • We will never forget.

  • Softly answer the call.

    Here.

  • We will never forget 11.18.1999.

  • Remember remember, Eighteen of November.

  • I will never forget coming downstairs and seeing my mom cry the way she did. We will always remember the 12 that died that horrific night.

  • who ever disliked this video no madder if they like A&M or not it is just plain rude do dislike this, if you think what the subject is of this video it is not about sports it is remembrance of the ones who died in this accident.

  • This has nothing to do with healthcare or homeless! When will you ignorant bastards stop bringing that crap up for everything? If you're really from "across the pond" NolanRogers2, then you have no room to talk! I do believe that the English just celebrated Guy Fawkes Night! Which is celebrated with a bonfire and fireworks. I'm also pretty sure that there are homeless there! Anyway... Long live Aggie Tradition! Gig 'Em and WHOOP! And BTW Materials for Bonfire were donated... AKA- FREE!

  • God bless those lost and affected by this tragedy! Whoop!

  • @NolanRogers2 Get a life. Quit trolling every A&M video.

  • I've only been at A&M for a year now, but the Aggie Family already means more to me than almost anything in the world. I've gone to every Silver Taps since becoming a student and (performed in [SC]) Muster as well as the 10th year anniversary Bonfire memorial service. This video still makes me tear-up every time I see it. We will always remember.

  • cool ;O und FrauenMeister . com is cool wen de singel bist - fund des tages

  • was ist da passiert?

  • Sorry about your loss. And what a detrimental tradition...for so many reasons.

  • dude come on, i love Texas, Hook Em', but u cant call this stupid

  • @LouisFreind101 i hope you die in a fire

  • @LouisFreind101

that is the most ignorant quote. University of Texas has a bunch of stupid traditions as well. Your band runs around in the most god awful looking uniforms. the hook em' horns sign is a stupid tradition. you worship football and university of texas just as much as anybody at A&M does for their school. this is about remembering those who fell that horrible night, not about wether a tradition is or is not a blind worship of a tradition. respect

  • @jackitup52

That money wasted on stupid college traditions like a huge Bonfire SHOULD be put to better use like Scholarships for Minority people.

It is sad that 12 people had to die but now that the bonfire is banned that money could go to helping the poor and disadvantaged.

Elitist Traditions do not help the broad majority of people.

  • i am sorry that you feel that way. that school has a right to spend its money and more an likely that money was donated to the school for the purpose of that tradition by those who gave it to them. it is their money not yours, you cannot dicate another person on how to spend their own goods. those traditions that a school holds so dear are done by anybody that wants to attend. I am going to say some of those who donate are minorites. also some of those who participate are minorites.

  • @jackitup52

I think of the thousands wasted on this stupid bonfire over the years and the Millions of Americans on food stamps and living without Health Care.

You americans have such lopsided and askew priorities. Do you realize that there are 5 million American children living without health care in the USA?

What is a stupid meaningless bonfire compared to that?

  • @NolanRogers2

There is no bonfire jackass...that is the whole point of this discussion. Plus this is America you have the right to spend your money on what you deem. I personally agree with you, but it still doesn't change the fact of the matter it is their right to spend their money. As for a National Health Care System, ask the Brits, it is apparent it doesnt work. My health care according to my company nexy year will increase from 380 a month to over a 1,000 because of your health care plan

  • @NolanRogers2

well i apologize earlier as i said i found out my company was raising my health care costs. i have to raise a child and take care of my wife, plus help put my younger brother through college because my parents are gone. I don't have the luxary to worry about others as I already have enough to do. I have an entire family to take care of on a budget that is already exhausted and will be more so starting next year if this health care plan is put through. i want a good plan not some

  • @NolanRogers2 half assed job done by a man who unfortunately is not providing us the public option as promised. i voted and approved of this, but what i didn't want to approve of was a severe hike in the amount i pay. I don't have the money to pay for others to use a health care system that is all in all doomed to fail. I would rather spend my money more wisely and make sure i can provide FOOD, SHELTER, and HEALTH CARE TO MY OWN CHILD. so excuse me for calling you a jack ass but we are not all

  • @lamardarren

i am not saying i don't agree with you, it is just the state of texas and the univerisity, and the people that have attended there feel the need for such traditions, it is over and done with because of the safety risk but it is still their own right to choose. i am sure where ever you attended has traditions that you did, do you feel they are stupid? if so ok, that is your right, but if not think how your feel about your alma matter and its traditions.

  • @jackitup52

    Fair enough.....I hear you man.

  • @lamardarren

:) i am glad, but i agree there needs to be more spent towards improving the lives of not only the rich but the poor and disab. we ignore them to much in the country

  • @ sesyyammber

Only if you dress up as Michelle Obama...

  • dot com

  • We will always remember the fallen Aggies who lost their lives in our school tradition. It is a day that will stay in our hearts forever.

  • the only game where we have ever stayed standing while the opponents band played. the lowering of the texas flags while they played was powerful

  • i left 12 shots whiskey alone on the 18 of november. each shots was for them

  • dude i dont care who you are. thats low! if you feel the need to be disrepectful dont do it on a memorial video for 12 people who died!

we may be a bunch of rednecks, but at least we have respect!

  • Very sad...very good video to honor those 12.

  • Very humbling and powerful video. Proud to be an Ag.

  • Remember the 12....

  • I was in high school at the time, and my English Lit teacher had a daughter at A&M. The phone lines were jammed up and she was a wreck all day because she hadn't heard from her daughter..she found out while I was in class and she literally sat and wept. It was such an emotional time for so many. All over, Texans appreciate the A&M traditions and take pride in the school's spirit. It's a great family to be a part of!

  • Nothing is more pathetic than someone who wants attention making an insensitive mockery out of a tragedy.

  • I remember the phone call I got at work the next morning from my daughter "Mom. I am ok. I wasn't at bonfire." That is how I found out. So, so sad.

  • This is so sad. But I wish you hadn't put this on YouTube because of the insensitive comments I expect here. Watch...

  • sad day*******

  • And Chris Valletta, you are a terrific representative for A&M in all you've done and continue to do. You played your heart out for us on Kyle Field for a number of years including the Bonfire game. I wish you the best.

  • I love this video, not just as an Aggie, but as a human being. The Aggie Spirit reached out to me as a high school prospect, and decided to permanently reside in me that moment I first stepped foot on campus. I love being a Fightin' Texas Aggie with all my heart, and those days, 10 years ago, tore my heart into pieces. Perspective....this anniversary reminds my of life's precious priorities. God bless the 12, especially Tim Kerlee.

  • I was there the night stack fell. I was too tired to continue so I left to go back to sleep. 10 minutes later it collapsed. I was still lying in bed in my overalls when my roomate comes screaming down the halls yelling "Stack fell stack fell, there are poeple dieing." In the years since, the campus really didn't feel the same, Aggs didn't have the same rallying point to remind them of the friendlyness of the campus. That is what I noticed after, not as many students saying Howdy as they did.

  • To the Aggie family...May this day serve as a constant reminder to treat every ounce of Life's moments as precious as possible. My prayers are with all of you.

Chris Valletta - Class of '00

  • Perfect words Chris. Hope all is well w/ you.

  • Is there a better quality version of this? It looked a lot better at Reed Arena last night.

  • I was honored to light a candle and say "Here" for Bryan McClain at the San Antonio Muster. Then this morning I returned to College Station, held another candle, and annouced "Here" for all 12 Aggies. We will NEVER forget.

  • Class of 2000 BQ here. This video was hard to watch for me. It brought back a lot of memories for me.

  • Words can not capture what Texas A&M means to me, the tragic loss of this day will be forever in the hearts of all Aggies. Many will not understand, but this video gives some small insight of what it means to be an Aggie. God Bless the families of the twelve that fell that night 10 years ago, and God Bless Texas A&M.

  • My brother applied to A&M right after the collapse and even though he was the first Aggie in our family, this really hit my whole family hard. The way that everyone took strength and courage from each other in the days and weeks after this tragedy is why I am proud to be the Aggie I am today. We will always stand for 12...we will stand for those who can no longer stand for themselves.

    Class of '11

  • My wife, Aggie son and I went to the one year remembrance. It was raining like crazy but there were thousands of candles burning on the field where the memorial is today. Until you have seen a Silver Taps or a Muster you can not know how it feels. We lost my daughter, Class of '05 and Vet Class of '09 in a car wreck July 27, 2008. I don't think we could have made it without all the love and support of the Aggie family.

    We Will ALWAYS Remember!

  • awesome.

  • That was difficult to watch even ten years later. Here- '01

  • We will always remember; we will never forget. Today we recollect the unyielding bond that, even in times of tragedy defines the Aggie Family, and Texas A&M. We remember how we showed the world that 85,000+ can and will always stand for 12. The burning desire to succeed in all aspects of life is still alive today. God Bless and Gig'em!
