Jajaja, quemándome por dentro con ira vehemente, ávido de placer mas que de virtud. Muerto del espíritu, pero cuido mi apariencia. Viva la vida con laxo sentido!!!
@CurbludgeonHolocaust to be fair, having a baritone sing such a high last note after this powerful aria is a bit of a ridiculous idea. Every singer who I've seen perform this has either replaced it with a lower one or cringed while singing it.
Very good, I have a special attraction about the different endings of the line: "curam gero cutis" ; this is one of my favorites...this sudden change of vocal register.
@polivinilofinder It's interesting, indeed. It really fits the meaning of the lyrics, after talking about all the things he's done, in the end his soul is dead and all that matters is his... skin! (cutis)
at 1:16 he says "Mihi cordis gravitas, more iuventutis" but the corrected sentence is
"Mihi cordis gravitas, res videtur gravis". Anyway..Bravo

Why he made that scary face at the end, and then laughing?
reichstag10 9 months ago
@reichstag10 because he couldn't hit that high note without using a falsetto, which is sort of a cheap trick and he did it jokingly, as an excuse

¡Tremendo! Notable que se acompañe la letra en latín, también. Muchas gracias por esto.
