I've said this a thousand times and I will say it again. Steve is the ONLY gutarist that could play this song and switch 625 perfectly. Nowadays they can't play this song for shit. The songs that were writen after Steve died are ok at best. The classic songs suck without Steve. 90% of the time I only listen to classic Def Leppard.

i think the only reason y they added the Synth in the background to the 84 verison was so they could tell the diff from when Pete was in the band. cuz if they didnt it would sound the same if anything. lol just throwing that out there LOL

Its the Heavy Metal Lover's revenge when all these neo pop and hip hop lovers search on youtube for paltry remakes done by modern day 'mistakes' they call 'artistes' and get to see where the TRUE music came from in the search results.You know, no matter how you try to keep a GREAT thing down it will always live on and resurface in ways 'the establishment' will never expect. Most of the hard rock/metal they play on the radio lacks fire...and when they play the hard stuff it's only Metallica...and more Metallica...Radio is just like Walmart....they never give the real people what they want...they cater only to the pod people.

Def Leppard went soft too. "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" was awesome (still love it), but they went overly soft and commercial by 1987's Hysteria. Yeah, it was their biggest, most successful album to date, but they were quite a ways from High n' Dry, musically speaking.

As Americans I think we like the sound of foreigners speaking English. They produce different inflections on our ordinary words in a way that speaks to us. Its different and we love it. Rush, Scorpions, The knife, Triumph, British Invasion etc.
Thats why it sounds uncharacteristic and different and better than our everyday stuff,because it is. Kinda neat and this observation comes from my own affliction for foreign American Rock and Roll. 60s to Present. Think about it I might be right. Thanks
