Well just saying that if she was to tribute Ella, why do it after she died? There is only ONE Ella. She's great and all. But I really wish she had done something like this while Ella was alive. Ella died in 1996. She had more than a shot to do a tribute well before then.

Patti wasn't asked to it then but when she had an opportunity she laid down a fitting tribute and it was damn good. She couldn't control when Miss Ella passed but she did her best to send a love letter when possible. Record companies are in charge. Don't forget!
