  • Thank you! :))))))

  • Wonder what Mariska Hargitay thinks of this song. It's a homage to her mum but I wonder if she thinks so. PS I love this song x x

  • Wonderful to hear and see this again.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Siouxsie is GORGEOUS !! Great song, underrated..

  • Welcome to the 90's

  • amazing , still sounds incredible

  • The guys (band members?) in this video are creepy as hell. But she is ... !

  • I like how she grew into a classy lady, rather than holding on to the goth girl thing...even though she's the Mother of Goth. She knew it was time to move on and grow up. I respect that.

  • muchas gracias to the once-mighty WHFS!!!! a radio station that actually had this song, morrissey, peter murphy, et al in rotation. great music for its time. ah, those days.....wait, who the hell am i kidding. they were glorious, but THESE days can be equally glorious. its all your state of mind, & whats in your heart. yea, growing old sucks - your peers get boring, sell-out, & get cranky, but let Siouxsie ring thru your mind and enjoy the same spirit you had when you were young and bold!

  • the 90's

  • @lovemyselfforever86

    no. 80's (77 with punk's birth) ;-)

  • @63thejack this song was early 90's

  • @lovemyselfforever86

ok, sorry! i just told about siouxie!!! not this song ;-)

  • @lovemyselfforever86 Yep. 91, She rarely ever does interviews. There is one on here from a couple years ago shes still BADASS! I wonder when some new popster will be trying to copy her? never

  • Whose idea was the dog? *assumes annoying british accent* "Wayit wayit...it's not proper lest we have the dog then right? wheres the fackeeng dog ol'ready? for fucks fucking sake wheres the fucking dog!!!...right then..carry on...now the fucking dog has arrived"

  • lets not bag on Nirvana...great band. I love them both...

  • She looks like a Fashion Model here

  • I forgot how much I love her...

  • she looks just like margo kidder

  • Wenesday nite at club Numbers o in Houston would play this song back in the late 90's. Loved it when the girls go crazy with thier exotic dancing.

  • @galgo3303 haha I used to live at #'s back in the 90's....Westheimer was the shit back then

  • @zonumb Sure was, I had great times and made good friends but lost touch due to too much excess Looking back those were some wild nites.

  • this is great music. and by the way,the youtuber' electroexecutoidE ' is a pedophile from manchester, england. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee pwned rofl rofl rofl lmao rofl

  • Seriously, is this 20 years old? Wow

  • @lmondraty Exactly. Her look calls out every stupid girl thinking she reinvented the "pin-up girl" look in 2011.

  • Memories flood back to seeing them in Chicago back in the summer of 1991 - the 1st round of Lalapalooza.

  • too cool...

  • Siouxsie, is one of the best gothic bands ever! Her music gives me goose bumps! Ilove you Siouxsie!!!!!!!!!

  • Looooooveeeeeee

  • beautiful color of voice,Imagine her screaming in bed

  • @igordenic74 Yes, she is extremely cunty -- in a good way!

  • Era una verdadera delicia "uniformarte" de negro prenda por prenda y salir al gris asfalto y la lluvia en aquellas plomizas tardes de 1990 oyendo a Siouxie and the Banshees

  • Excellent stuff! What an under-appreciated singer and performer!

  • there is only one siouxsie in this world.

  • she looks like Margot Kidder, but MUCH hotter

  • To me, the culmination of alternative music was hearing this coming from the radio of someone's car in South Haven, Michigan. That gave me such a satisfied grin. "Wow, Siouxsie in Small Town America!" Then came Nirvana [sigh].

  • @CelebrityHotTub Windsor's 89X in the early 90's was the shit

  • @TheJDCIV I was living in Ann Arbor at the time and 89X really was great!

  • @CelebrityHotTub ...Awww, you didn't like the next song on the radio

  • @CelebrityHotTub it's actually supposed to be "alternative rock" which this is not.. "alternative music" was originally an insult people would say to imply that "alternative rock" was not actually music but an alternative to real music.

The way you try to lump this in with a genre of music that has virtually no similarity is a perfect example of how the average person abuses the system of labeling and generalization established by the music industry.

    Please forget your labels.

  • @desktorp You know alot about labels for someone who wants us to ignore them. I still have this cassette tape by the way. I remember the first time I heard the phrase "alternative" with respect to music. My friends and I took it as this music was an alternative to popular music not real music.

  • Thanks for posting this. Much appreciated.

  • On the road to new orleans

A spray of stars hit the screen

    As the 10th impact shimmered

    The forbidden candles beamed

Kiss them for me -- I may be delayed

Kiss them for me -- I may find myself delayed

  • Lyrics are an ode to actress Jayne Mansfield - referring to her catchword "divoon", her heart-shaped swimming pool and her love of champagne and parties, and to the grisly car crash near New Orleans which claimed her life in 1967. Her daughter, actress Mariska Hargitay, was sleeping in the backseat of the car. All 3 kids lived. The car slammed into a truck spraying insecticide which had caused a foggy haze. Kiss Them for Me was also the name of a movie with Mansfield and Cary Grant.

  • @JKP603 thank you for the explainations to this song

  • I first heard this on FM radio (not a commercial station) when it was hot off the press in 1991. I bought the "Superstition" LP, the "Kiss Them For Me" 12-inch single, and the "Shadowtime" 12-inch single. (Naturally, in the late 80's I had their "Passenger" 12-inch single.) And yet, until now, I had never seen this film clip. She truly was a vision.

  • One of the creepiest songs I know if, when you take its meaning into account.

  • marry me

  • Love this

  • Oh is this Britney Spears.. she dyeded her hair huh?

  • Her image changed so much from her days of hanging with the Sex Pistols

  • is she nelly furtado's mom?

  • @hempseed57 could be, hehehehe.

  • sound is like 2012.....but 2012 music SUCKS. SO IT CANT BE. aww . miss being a teen in the 80s (who doesnt)

  • @darla1970 I have listened to this classic a dozen times in a row...a beautiful lady sings a beautiful song..love Siouxsie..you are so right..what happened to music? She is my age now..54.

  • @darla1970 As much as I love 80s music I actually do think our current time has some great music acts too. You just had to look, just like how people had to look for Siouxsie and the banshees and other 80s alternative groups.

  • @darla1970 1991

  • @darla1970 for me, the 70's/80's were the most diverse, interesting, and unique decades as far as music is concerned. why does everything sound the same today to me? guess i'm gettin' old.

  • @SomethingReal1119 You are right, and The 70s and 80s had some crap and cheese music but mostly great stuff. where now great stuff comes on and you go Whoa!

It is sad that so many comments I read that come from teens and 20somethings on here when I am watching 'my' music, they have the same comments. About how their 'parents music really WAS better like they say' I remember teens in th 80s liking some of their parents time songs. But now its most.

  • @darla1970 oh and btw I am now 41, and I certainly do not feel or act like that number used to imply 20 years ago. lol and old, hell no!

  • The Cure totally dominates this catagory but it's funny cause Robert Smith from the Cure was in a group with Siouxie many moons ago! LOL

  • @honest413 what do you mean? what category?

  • @honest413 yep......Fun factoid. Youtubers Watch the Dear Prudence video. Youll see him. I remember seeing that video as a teen and tripping out on her hairy armpits. haah

  • deffo

  • love the 90s

  • I wish Siouxsie would stop stalking me. Enuf already!

  • Thank you!!!

  • Badazz song! She is a very attractive women for sure.

  • I lover her! Saw her in concert two times.. both were epic... soo glad I took her albums out of storage her voice is so eerily pleasant and wonderful.

  • this song kiss them for me was about her friends who were dying of aids and she wrote this song in their memory..

  • @pbmonty32 Siouxsie said in an interview that they had the music already but that the music came as inspiration to them from the life of Jane Mansfield.

  • @pbmonty32 that's a lovely thought but it is all about Marisa Hargety's (Law and Order) Mom Jane Mansfield...

  • iouxsie and the Banshees , will always be one of my favourite bands . Peek-a-boo my favourite song . My 3 year loves it major as well .

  • I love her hand motions in this, I think it might have been what inspired the female undead /dance in World of Warcraft

  • @james7457 maybe, but we all danced kinda like that back in the day! (if you were cool that is)

  • I love how she looks like a silver screen 1940s star or 'screen siren' here. Refreshingly different at the time I'm sure but possibly her fans wouldn't expect that look when this first came out.

  • @jrmetmoi that was so true, never expected this look from her back then...lol She LOOKED shockingly conservative at the first Lollapalooza but it was a nice contrast to the backdrop for the performance-a Kama Sutra'esque painting... ; )

  • @jrmetmoi - we didn't! I have to say I was still struck by how gorgeous she looked like this, though... :)

  • wow! thats it I'm in love ;)

  • The queen of Goth.

  • Oh god! thanks for the upload! I want to buy a drum set and beat that hi hat and bass drum and then buy a bass and add thunder. I wish I had Owseley.

  • one of the most hypnotic songs ever!!!

    lisa gerard

  • I love herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Great Bhagavad-Gita images with an Indian sound. Love it.

  • I'll kiss them for you, Siouxsie!

  • ABSOLUTELY

    GORGEOUS

    SUSAN.

  • Thanks so much for posting this video!

  • Siouxie IMO is one of the most beautiful women in the world.

  • @Dietpepsivanilla I agree with you!!

  • My first impression was typhoid anne frank.

  • gorgeous

  • Lucy Lawless can play Siouxsie in the Siouxsie and Banshees movie

  • Siouxsie looks like a glamorous 1940s movie star. The Banshees look like they need to eat a sammich.

  • This is a very good song. However, it's nothing like the great music they put out before they had a record deal. What a shame. With the lone exception of this song, I can' t really even listen to them. They WERE so good, about 1977 or so. Still, credit where it's due, great song. Only thing worth listening to on the last album of theirs that I'll ever buy (the rest is crap if I've ever heard it), but pretty damn good.

  • @Roddog61

really ? - swimming horses? melt? dazzle? I could go on.

They were great in the early days , no question about that, but they have evolved over the years and still put out some great tracks, though in very different genres. I am not a superfan , but have loved a lot of what they have done over the years - a lot I have not liked either, but dont throw out the baby with the dishwater

  • She's very pretty and she's 51 now! Proper Rock Chick!

  • HQrip Good Memories from playing this track from waaaaay back Cheers! Great Sound !

  • Hot diggety ding dong dang !

  • Saw her in Vancouver / Canada waay back Xclnt Performance and Sound SIOUXSIE !!!

  • siouxsie for ever

  • vis a vis: "jane mansfield's untimely end" ... SIOUXSIE IS LORD

  • such a beautiful woman

  • @russ9356 Yeah, I'd let her do me. ;-)

  • Siouxsie Sioux a révolutionné la pop Anglaise post-punk.

  • Thanks for posting this, I'd forgotten how good this song is....Cheers !!

  • I guess this will last as long as people keep looking back at it and the internet didn't kill the video star did it?

  • a beautiful woman

  • It is interesting to me that the 80s was both an incredibly commercial and yet amazingly creative period musically. Love this!!!!!

  • @musikgal17 This was the 90s

  • @CelestialWoodway ooops!! I should know that but I just assumed since Siouxie's been around since the late 70s!! Infact there's a really early clip of her somewhere talking about the Sex Pistols, at one of their shows where she alluded to doing her own music.

  • @musikgal17 Sid Vicious use to play drums for her before he went to the Sex Pistols.

  • @ollieroks So he had some musical ability then?

  • @ollieroks Cool! Didn't know that!

  • @ollieroks back when he was know as John Simon Ritchie

  • this reminds me of Bollywood! love it!

  • Was soooo disappointed when thjs came out initially .... Siouxsie doing pop.. nooooooooo!

  • MISSED!....That's it.. Now all of a sudden some clown with an app wants to make money. Open your ears. This group deserves the money for the song. Comment on the sound..Morons.

  • sooooooooo gooooooooooood

  • Nothing like you hear today...refreshing.

  • This is such a cool song.

  • She's still looking good

  • sooo good!

  • SOOOOO AMAZING!!! :D

  • I still love her!

  • Now, if anybody knows where a girl can find that sparkly dress. What I wouldn't give!

  • @LittleEmoDancer and a black version at that, tell me about it!

  • I LOVED her...she was my first crush and at one time I thought she was the sexiest woman on the planet.....

  • essa musica é muito linda! aqui no brasil não se dá valor!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sandrovrodrigues opa ... alguns dão sim! :) abs

  • I remember this song and those days. I fell in love with the color jet black dye. It turned blueish in the sun. It was awesome! It came in powder form and from the orients. I wish I could find it in a beauty supply shop today. Gotta watch out though when it stains something it's perm but the stain is purple. It is permanent and doesn't fade. You can't get it out once it's in. Real cool dye. I wish to find it again someday. This song inspired me to dye my hair jet black and still my favorite.

  • i like her but she cannot dance...it's painfull to watch like Elaine on that one episode of Seinfeld

  • @dogdriver70 Do you honestly think she is a dance act? This isn't supposed to be dancing, its what record companies shoved into videos back then to fill a space, she couldn't give a rats ass about looking like a dancer in a video. She is a talented musician, the whole band are, unlike today's pointless acts.

  • Comment removed

  • She gets it...she turned on, tuned in, punked out, dropped out...and then came back to give us all what we really wanted...

    THANK YOU SIOUXSIE

  • She makes a beautiful lotus lady with those Vishnu eyebrows. Wish she had the third-eye dot to sweeten the deal.

  • Wow! What a vid - thank you HQrip. I can't believe I never saw this until now, the song was an instant classic and this video can "stand up" to it. Congratulations to all those involved in its creation: (director, concept people, grips, editors, everyone). This video was sooooo ahead of its time it has the "feel" of being produced in 2005. I am so happy to see it here tonight.

  • This song is genius.

  • I didn't know Cuddy from House was a singer!

  • I wonder if she knows Robert Smith and the Cure are alive?

  • @honest413 but why should she,?????

  • @honest413 - bloody well hope so. He used to be in her band!

  • @honest413 Considering Robert Smith used to be IN Souxsie and the Banshees, I'd say yeah.

  • Forgot how good this was. And how HOT Siouxsie was (is?) . Thankyou so much for uploading this mate! GREAT!!!!!!!!

  • I absolutely ADORE Siouxsie Sou and The Banshees

She does look so different without her trademark makeup

but she is still ace after all these years.

Siouxsie and Sade, two of England's BEST exports and still

amongst the sexiest women alive. = ]

HQrip, thanks for posting this love. Cheers! = ]

  • kiss them for me & i'll take a pee on them for free.

  • I much prefer her without the extra makeup and crazy hair. She's quite pretty.

  • @delonerm Wait what? This is the least amount of makeup I've ever seen on her! She was always "Egyptianized" before.

  • @delonerm Couldn't agree more !!

  • what a great song
