I really would like to like this version but I can't. Small personal tweaks to a song is okay done right but for the turning point of this song after the three repetitions it sounds like you just skipped a bunch of notes and it just feels wrong and leaves me craving for the real song.

@pppyoman Chris (8Amaterasu8) can probably answer this better than me, as he's the violinist. My take is that violin has a steeper learning curve, and most people don't get the right tone/tuning for the first few years so it doesn't sound very good initially. Accordion is probably easier to pick up, but is less versatile and beautiful in my opinion. Depends on how much time/practice you're willing to put in... and in either case, TAKE LESSONS!

XD I kind of wish I had taken some music theory courses in college. But yeah, I like using unusual scales/modes/chords, even when I can't properly name them. :-)
