  • my views of both symbol companys is this..... zildjain is like mc donalds...its all done by computers and will all sound identical. sabian is like a sub shop...everything one is different....depends on what you want realy.....

  • @littlerev18 I have a set of planet z's,ZBTs and pitch black cymbals love zildjian cymbals

  • she is Craige Zildjian

  • Wait do they still hand hammer like they did in Istanbul?

  • I love zildjian!! I have Ks, 2 full sets of A customs and im buying K customs soon! These cymbals record amazing and sound great live! Ive used these onstage with bands such as Asking Alexandria, blessthefall, miss may i (zildjian endorser) and many more. These cymbals always outshine the competition and never lose tone through the years, super durable, and are Overall pretty cheap!! We can all agree that everyone has their own taste right? Mine will always be ZILDJIAN!

  • i have an idea why doesn't zildjian ask for their customers broken and useless cymbal (zildjian only) and recycle the alloys and remake the cymbal again without digging up more metal from the ground reuse a model of the cymbal (such as zbt, a custom, etc) that was the broken cymbal and use the scrap metal to make the same model with the melt cymbal and put its through the formation proccess this could make zildjian a green company

also zildjian could pay u a few bucks for ur broken cymbals

  • it's funny how people come here to troll on zildjian cymbals. What? Are you sabian users not proud of you're cymbals so you have to talk shit to make yourself feel better? Well guess what zildjian is a much older company and they know what they're doing. I find zildjian much more durable than sabian.

  • @psychodrumplayer14 It's funny because you don't know shit about the history of Sabian & Zildjian. The founder of Sabian's name is Robert Zildjian and the current President is Andy Zildjian. Yeah Zildjian is soo good right? Remember Pitch Black's? That fucked me over $600, luckly my local music store gave me store credit because Zildjian wouldn't help. I've been playing Sabian ever since, and they have got $1000s of my business.

  • @drummeracealex ok first of all what drummer doesn't know that. and In case you haven't noticed the pitch's blacks are a beginner cymbal. It's not their fault you're dumbass bought them. When it comes to the end it's all about preference but to trash talk about other cymbal companies is a childish thing to do. I don't know shit? Yeah I was right about zildjian being an older company. Since 1623.

  • @psychodrumplayer14 Actually no they were a intermediate line. I bought them in my second year of drums. Haha therefore shouldn't of bought them? Pff! Maybe they should test their shit products before sending them out. 1623 doesn't matter because Andy Zildjian and his father no the secret to making cymbals idiot, Sabian has the four hundred year experience Zildjian does. I have a Paiste Colorsound 5, it's from the 80s and is red, the paint is perfect, not any has come off of it.

  • @drummeracealex They do test their cymbals, what company doesn't, think a little. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean every drummer in the world doesn't like them too. Besides you should of tested them yourself before buying them. Any smart drummer would know that. But since you're a beginner you wouldn't know that. And again stop telling me stuff I already know. Zildjain and Sabian use the same formula. So just because you didn't like one cymbal line doesn't mean the rest suck.

  • @drummeracealex You didn't play the pitch blacks before you bought them? What the hell is wrong with you??

  • I guess you guys havent seen the sabian factory video? they do almost the same exact thing.

  • I prefer Sabian even though I have a Zildjian stick bag

  • LOL.... you've replaced a craftsman with a robot good job Zildjian... if you want a real hand crafted cymbal get a Sabian.

  • zildjian is one of the best and oldest company of his kind

  • i have an idea why doesn't zildjian ask for their customers broken and useless cymbal (zildjian only) and recycle the alloys and remake the cymbal again without digging up more metal from the ground reuse a model of the cymbal (such as zbt, a custom, etc) that was the broken cymbal and use the scrap metal to make the same model with the melt cymbal and put its through the formation proccess this could make zildjian a green company

  • very interesting!

  • These are going to be the first and only brand of cymbals I will have on my drum set (as soon as I get a drum set)

  • best cymbals in the world!

  • I don't care if i get hated upon, but.....

SABIAN is WAY better because Zildjian souds SO manufactured..

  • @funnyshit870

if you compare AAX to ZBT, then yeah... But K Customs? A Customs? Unmatched sounds. Do you know who founded Sabien? I won't even tell you, you just go find out for yourself, then tell me who's king.

  • @beefcake8888 Yes yes, anyone with even a slight knowledge of cymbals knows that Sabian was founded when the Zildjian bros. split up the company and the old K factory became the Sabian factory. Even so, why must you encourage this crappy debate. IT DOESNT MATTER! Zildjian was influential and should be respected. I personally like Sabian more but I have played Zils and they sound perfectly fine. Iv yet to find a cymbal manufacturer that is total crap so be civil and GET OVER IT !!!!

  • @1stpersonshooter

But he said Z sounds SO manufactured... you can bash Z if you have a true reason, but Z's sounding manufactured? ZBT's and shitty ones, just like B8's and shitty S's (except B8 18 inch crash... i like it... which is weird because i only use rides) My point being, someone calls out Z, I'll defend Z for being a great company. Same with S.

  • @beefcake8888 weird I also think the 18in sounds unusually good, Any thoughts?

  • @Gamestationx360

I dunno, in my opinion best sound for price cymbal available.

  • @funnyshit870 unless you can explain what exactly what you are mean by "so manufactured" (all companies cymbals are manufactured) your post has no merit!

  • Sabian is more innovative sorry narrator lady.

  • Best cymblas i the whole f****** world!!!

  • It's not a secret. Nice try to cover it up but it's more like job security.

  • it doesn't matter the company of the cymbal, material or price.... the cymbals that sound good to you is the best cymbals

  • That sound booth is really cool, I want it. lol

  • this is why zildjian is better.

  • 7:20 = Heaven.

  • @FallenSkater998 nah the sabian area 51 is

  • Sabian is NOT a part of Zildjian. They are two different companies, but both of Zildjian blood. The Sabian AA and AAX are hammered by a machine- the HH and HHX are hand-hammered (hence the name.)

  • @TheDadrummerboy Sabian's metallurgy is more middle toned than zildjian's Darker tone. So it's all preference but you have to admit that despite breaking off from Zildjian they're almost equal in popularity. I agree that Sabian may have a higher variance in lathing and hammering but IMHO that's what makes your cymbal your own. You can proudly say my cymbal isn't like any in the world, and I love it cause it's unique. if you break cymbals then you're hitting them too hard no need to replace.

  • @ThrowingItAway Sabians metallurgy is the exact SAME as Zildjian..fyi (same cast formula)

  • @TheDadrummerboy sabian aa and aax are machine hammered so there, still hand lathed and its not like every cymbal sounds different, they are made to match eachother but there are some slight differences.

  • Go U of M!!!!!!!!

  • Zildjian used to be amazing but now Sabian basically owns them because everything Zildjian does is automatic where-as Sabian has a lot of stuff done by hand by experienced craftsmen such as the lathers and the hammer-er's. I love my HHX cymbals :D

  • @Ggevorkyan yeah but i hate sabian, the hh and hhx sounds so dull

  • @jorkamus not dull, dark. and thats what theyre made for, the AA's and AAX's are brighter and i guess that would suit you and the HH and AA series are both top of the line.

  • @Ggevorkyan Your talking total BOLLOCKS!!!

  • @Ggevorkyan hand hammering is such an overrated process! do you realize how much more of a probabilty there is that a "hammerer" will make minute cracks in a cymbals as compared to a computer controlled precision auto hammering machine! and how does sabian "own" zildjian if zildjian is still #1?? when you haters have actual proof of your BS then make a legit post!

  • explosion!

  • amazing

  • K Zildjian was never part of A.Zildjian.

    They were separate companies.

Don't buy in and believe their whitewash of history.

  • People.. SABIAN is part of Zildjian company...

  • @mushhhi no, they not.

  • @mushhhi no, they not. sabian is another company

  • Sabian is better. they hammer it by hand

  • @TheDaltonator1234 only some of the cymbals because hand hammering is not very consistent. the AA, AAX, HH, HHX lines are al done by automated hammering

  • Comment removed

  • @blooddrummer You're wrong.. HH stands for Hand Hammered, HHX is also hand hammered with different lathing patterns..

  • @MachineGunRated What do aa and aax stand for?

  • @OfficialDrumsNdSkate

AA stands for Automated Anvil because they're done completely by machine.. and AAX is that same, except they're more articulate, softer and quieter when you tap, and loud when you crash

  • @TheDaltonator1234

The only cymbals Sabian makes by hand are HH and very few Vault models such as the Vault Artisan series. Sabian uses machines most of the time

  • Everyone join zildjian fan base on palringo right now!

  • Thats the problem, all the cymbals are the same there is no difference bettween the cymbals. The way to be a great cymbal company is to hand make the cymbal with those professional hammering guys. Theres no "blood and sweat" (metephor) in zilddjian cymbals anymore.

  • I HAVE A QUESTION...PLEASE.

I bought a ride from a friend, I was actually more interested in the boom stand it came with, however later I found out that the ride was a Zildjian, but a type I had never heard before, it's called Schitmar or something like that it's a little old and the letters are worn of. Does anyone know where it's from? Where would it be? A's? K's? ZBT's? Is it a good ride? It sounds good but is it?

  • you have your answer...... it sounds good to you . it doesnt matter what somebody else think . or am i wrong?

  • @frankanizer You couldn't be more right. But think of it this way, you were adopted and, you love your dad, but wouldn't you like to know were you really come from? You wont stop loving your dad, so... I just want to know it's family tree, cymbal wise.

    Does any one know?

  • @alessandrogambino

    it is the Scimitar Series.

They were the beginner cymbals in the 80ies.

It was made of B8-bronze and can be compared with the ZBTs.

If it sounds good to you keep it, you wouldn't get much money if you sell it either.

  • @Hannibu Awesome thanks! It's good to know... It really does sound good...it doesn't have much volume however I play Jazz so if fits like a glove! No I would never think about selling anything...it's like my baby...

    Thanks again man...!

  • i hate salzcamino

  • the Z3's are the best Rock cymbals in the world.

  • haha! you make it seem so easy! I'm trying to find what beginner cymbals I should get. But they all sound so great!! I just can't choose. Each has ups and downs!

  • @NYDrummer16 really? give me one other company other than Sabian and Zildjian that have such amazing cast B20 cymbals? Think about the cymbals themselves, not which cymbals are better for your style...

  • i like zildjian but i like sabian more, their cymbals are much better sounding. i use all sabian only sabian

  • Sabain is all by hand.

  • @drummerpro12 The AA and AAX are machine hammered though

  • True but look up the history of sabian and zildjian. I first wanted Zildjian cymbals but than I found a really good deal on Sabians so I went with them. Ever since that day Iv'e been using Sabians but if i hadn't of got the Sabians who knows I might be using Zidjian.

  • great! having fun with them?

By the way, I just meant to tell you that some of Sabian are machine hammered. Didn't mean to say that Sabian is better or Zildjian is better ;)

  • Sweet man have fun drumming. :)

  • lol they should add a gravity blast at 3:22

  • to jest ciekawy program o blachach zindjana dlatego jest drogie blachy zindjana dlatego jest ladne blachy .

  • Who owns 65% of the market? Zildjian? Maybe usa market not global. In last few years there is invasion from small Turkish companies which have almost 100% zildjian sound. I mean it is B20 bronze so there is no -magic secret process- or-ancient secret reciepe-.WAKE UP!! long live ALL drummers.

  • Yes world wide. They produce more cymbals annually than any other manufacturer.

The Turkish brands are all great, but they probably produce maybe 50K to 100K annual, where Zildjian produces around 10 times that amount.

The difference being you will see Zildjian in every major music store out there, where Agop, Mehmet, Byzance are much harder to come by.

I'm not saying those brands are bad, but very hard to come by.

  • Yes, if you look at Sabian, the making process is almost the same.

The difference with real turkish cymbals (like Istanbul, Bosphorus, Masterwork, etc) is, that these are hammered by hand.

And in my opinion the hand-hammered sound better.

Zildjian is a bit like Microsoft.

It is not always the best brand which leads the market.

  • @Hannibu Well thats not really true, since I, personally, think Microsoft is the best operating system for computers. Don't reply giving me reason why its not, its my opinion. Everybody has an opinion that must be respected...

  • i bet the testers have insane chops from doing that every day

  • why they dont change their neme to zildjiana. hehe. most boring cymbal makers. no inovations, no originality at least 30 years.paiste stomped them 1989 with signature series (sound) while sabian is stomping them with much better marketing.

  • Define "stomping them". They own 65% of the market.

  • @bmbell71

Where are you getting this info from?? I would like to see these numbers somewhere.

I used to be a huge Zildjian fan, but there complacency and terrible quality control has really turned me off to them.

  • amazing zildjian :D thankyou for making my crashes :D

  • Their hair look like cymbals! And i`m not high at all....

    Cool video!

  • haha i see your point :D

  • 7:26 (O.O) !!!!!!!!!!!

  • look at all those a-customs... *_*

  • I agree with yayo015, and thimpsy. too much automation. zildjian is a great brand, but the love is gone. their zbts and such sound bad whereas sabians b8s sound good.

  • @musicman387 The ZBT is a disappointment. Though look at the ZHT or ZXT, way better than the B8 and B8 pro...

  • zildjian is the best!

  • Zildjian has way to much automation! Zild cymbals just lost it's touch and just sounds way too manufactured.

I prefer Sabian because they know how to make REAL cymbals with love and they're keeping how the zildjian company ORIGINALLY makes cymbals via hands on approch.

  • 5:13 OMG LAZORS!!!

  • way way way too much automation which results in their 'manufactured' sound. sabian is so much more hands on and old school which results in their personal and unique sound. sabian came from zildjian keeping the old school cymbal making techniques and at the same time the most innovative cymbal company on the planet bob zildjian rules!!!

  • thats what ive heard i prefer zildjains too they sound better with zildjain sticks to but thats what i think

  • Is this a lifetime special?

  • lol ur an idiot if u think that

  • that just what i heard i own some zildjains and there way better than sabian

  • i prefer zildjians, but sabian are practically the same cymbal....however i think zildjian sound better and just look 100%better

  • check out the sabian vault tour

  • Sabian sucks...no debate, no questions. They tarnish easily as well. Paiste is to tinny and clunky. Zildjian has tradition and they sound WAY better.

  • 5 STARS !!

ZILDJIAN THE BEST CYMBALES MAKERS !!!!!

    Avedis custom rules !!!!!!

  • eh first comment !!!!1 check out my vid of the a custom ping ride comment and tell me wat u think!!!!!!!!

  • eh how bout you shut the fuck up and quit spamming you loser!!!
