majorporpoise, Neither, I was a Teddy boy, we predated mods or rockers by years, we wore finger length drape jackets, drainpipe trousers, string ties and thick crepe-soled shoes we used to call brothel creepers, our God was Elvis followed by Jerry Lee, Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, Buddy and all the others too numerous to mention, a lovely time to be a teenager but how we longed to be American teens.
I remember listening to the wolf man Jack show on WGR 55 out of Buffalo. when I was a kid. that was in the late 70's good times I had a radio that I listened to before I went to bed. It was great.
As one who was born in 42, let me tell you that the fifties were the best times ever, we had slept in beds covered with our dad's army greatcoats for blankets, at school anyone fortunate to have an apple immediately heard a cry of 'first stump' followed by a cry of 'second stump', that meant, if the guy with the apple was feeling generous he would chew it down to a reasonable stump and give it to first stump who would then chew it down to second stump, but all fond memories, so nice.
@majorporpoise : I knew Carlos--he let me drive his G.T.O.--almost made a garage out of my Mom's bedroom. It was right out of the movies--"The BRAKE, the BRAKE!!!" But I had hit the GAS--and I was in REVERSE! Funny now, not so funny in the actual moment. 8-)
In the early 60's, (the late) Wolfman Jack broadcasted from a station in Mexico that could be heard coast to coast here in the U.S. My dad said he remembers him on the air. ''Clap for the Wolfman he gonna rate your record high"...
I remember in our High School Days we use to stay up all Night on a Friday at the Grand Prix watching 70's and 80 music videos and playing arcade games
Everybody in the 20s and 30s and 40s and early 50s all talked and sounded the same and wores hats and stuff and then rock'n-roll happened and this is about 7 years later when everything started to get cool.
its 4:53 in the morning... check out the wolfman's clock hanging on the wall.. cool.. ive watched this movie since i was a little kid and i always wonderd just how late they stayed up... now i know..

Paul LeMat beat up Tarzan's kid during "Teen Angel," the world's most depressing ballad ('I'll never kiss your lips again, they buried you today.").

Great film, but that's one of the worst fight scenes that I've seen in some time.

@TheJaguarKnight haha Paul Le Mat talked about how unrealistic that fight scene was in an interview
