  • in the samurai age the classical japanese jujitsu s a complet set of military disciplines on weapons, grappling, and unarmed striking. when this era came to an end they broke-down into modern jujitsu (joint locks and chokes using the entire body as a weapon), judo ("the gentle way" using the entire body esp the hips as leverage to throw an opponent), kendo (sword fighting art), and aikido (unarmed defensive discipline).

  • I don't understadn the different between akido and judo. Will someone care identifying their differneces for me?

  • uh, judo has a lot of wrestling and ground work, aikido's about u staying up(standing/kneeling stable), ur opponent being down on the ground.

  • aucifiel is incorrect in his expalnation. Judo is about breaking bones/injuring your opponent so that they stop attacking, Aikido focuses on harmony with the attacker and them stopping because of the way you treat them when attacked...in a peaceful way..Aikido is about harmony with everyone and everything

  • good lesson

  • Very easy to understand. I can tell this guy is a good teacher.

  • One of the best sword videos I've seen. Kudos.

    Although it's properly spelled kenjutsu.

  • booyah aikido =D
