HOW MUCH did the guy driving get paid to be ignorant just to prove a point? People swear up and down that the Tundra can't pull anything, well, if they put a number on it and it can't handle it, then Toyota can be sued. I have heard several testimonies of people using the 5.7 to tow more than 12k. that truck is absolutely sharp by the way. my little 22re runs great and I pull my 12' camper loaded for camping with wood in the bed and the camping gear over 2600lbs. so i know the 5.7 isnt hurting:)

@frankiej510 prove the bed hop. who is going to drive down a creek bed in their 30 plus thousand dollar truck? and my brother has a 2007 5.7 Tundra that I've followed up and down bumpy roads and their is no bed hop. and if a frame doesnt have any give to it, then chances are the stiff steel will break way before flexible will. you need to watch the top 5 go head to head in towing. the tundra hit 60 towing 6500lbs and was stopped before the ford 5.4 even hit 60. so passing you would be easy lol

well number 1 toyota is a japanese company, the profit from the tundra goes right back to japan. in the long run it still helps japan more than it helps us. almost every American truck is built here. take the dodge ram for example its factories are in Coahuila, Mexico, Fenton, Missouri, Warren, Michigan. the mexico plant it for the dodge rams in mexico, and south america while the american plants are for the trucks here in America

I have a 3/4 ton Dodge Diesel with 160,000 miles on it running about 500hp/960lb-ft of torque. I can tell you right now that I would love to go head to head with anything toyota has.
I will also say that my truck which is 8,250 with me in it would get yanked right off the cliff if it were hooked up like that toyota. That was rigged! Simple physics tell you it's not possible.
The Focus is no different than a Prius or Yaris FF, except that the Focus doesn't make Ford any money and helping Toyota make billions.

For the person asking the weight of the container, its 4189 lbs. Which would put it in the light weight category. I pull 15000 to 20000 lbs daily with my Super Duty. If you want a real truck buy a diesel. If you want a truck to putter around get a Toy.

its all about the truck you like the f35 has a better front end but the 3500 rides better and the dmax is more responsive. f350 is a good work truck and the gm is easier to live with and drive everyday its really a toss up for me.
dmax 3500 is a nice truck, cummins is a super engine wrapped in a piece of crap body and the F350 is just well balanced. Tried them all and I bought my fourth F350 last summer. But these are big truck in a league of there own. Toyota doesn't even come close when it comes to towing strenght of these trucks.
I just realized they actually stated the container was only 6,400lbs. Everyone says it's 10000lbs. I guess this is possible, especially considering the very surprising fact that on an episode of mythbusters, a dodge neon produced something like 3,200lbs of lateral force.....on ice! well number 1 toyota is a japanese company, the profit from the tundra goes right back to japan. in the long run it still helps japan more than it helps us. almost every American truck is built here. take the dodge ram for example its factories are in Coahuila, Mexico, Fenton, Missouri, Warren, Michigan. the mexico plant it for the dodge rams in mexico, and south america while the american plants are for the trucks here in America

I have a 3/4 ton Dodge Diesel with 160,000 miles on it running about 500hp/960lb-ft of torque. I can tell you right now that I would love to go head to head with anything toyota has.
I will also say that my truck which is 8,250 with me in it would get yanked right off the cliff if it were hooked up like that toyota. That was rigged! Simple physics tell you it's not possible.

The Focus is no different than a Prius or Yaris FF, except that the Focus doesn't make Ford any money and helping Toyota make billions.
As for the Ram it has won the dubious honor of the least reliable 1/2 ton from a few publications who base their ratings on problems per vehicle produced. As for being American it just so happens the Tundra contains more American parts than the Ram... guess where that Ram transmission is made/manufacturer FF... GERMANY.

For the person asking the weight of the container, its 4189 lbs. Which would put it in the light weight category. I pull 15000 to 20000 lbs daily with my Super Duty. If you want a real truck buy a diesel. If you want a truck to putter around get a Toy.

its all about the truck you like the f35 has a better front end but the 3500 rides better and the dmax is more responsive. f350 is a good work truck and the gm is easier to live with and drive everyday its really a toss up for me.

dmax 3500 is a nice truck, cummins is a super engine wrapped in a piece of crap body and the F350 is just well balanced. Tried them all and I bought my fourth F350 last summer. But these are big truck in a league of there own. Toyota doesn't even come close when it comes to towing strenght of these trucks.

I guess this is possible, especially considering the very surprising fact that on an episode of mythbusters, a dodge neon produced something like 3,200lbs of lateral force.....on ice! Toyota uses a weak "c" frame with riveted cross-members which is structurally insufficient. Ford uses a FULLY BOXED frame and WELDED, FULLY BOXED cross-members.
