  • Geez bring that idle up!

  • im confused, cylenders 4&6 share same exhaust port? as well as 3&5?

  • hello what is the year of the chassis, your car is´t incredible congrat´s

  • you are lucky man ;)

  • I thought that`s Jesse James for a sec. ;)

  • @Rzezinik1 Me too. I thought Monster Garage had come out of the shed.

  • OMG I F#$KING LOVE THAT SOUND :X

  • NICE

  • i dont give a shit how an exhaust sounds. i just want it to be the proper tuned length.

  • Now that is a TRUE Salt Rod!!!!

  • A late model flatty with a stud kit. Excellent motor choice!

  • Sweet !

    Viva La HAMB !!

  • flats where nice cuz for first they where built like a brick shithouse and usally had really good low speed torque (especially in the old straight 6's).

  • You dont know a damn thing about flatty's do ya cotton.

  • Man, that's a sweet soundin' piece of iron..

  • bad ass

  • is that the 226? sounds awesome

  • did you just say a full length exaust would be quieter? duh but it wouldn't sound 1/100000 as cool hehe.

  • Despite all the thumbs-down, you're right. The engine needs the correct back pressure provided by the proper exhaust system for best performance without the excesssive noise of straight-through pipes. There are other videos on here of flatheads with full-length exhaust systems, and they sound really smooth and quiet for such an old engine design.

  • Love that Ford Flathead Sound, hope I can get mine to sound like that someday.

  • im a CHEVY guy but maaan nothing sounds like a flathead ford!!! awesome! i have small/big block chevys but i want a flathead ford in a 32 deuce with 3 2 barrels!! nice vid

  • I am the same I love Chevy motors but nothing beats the looks or sound of a flathead. I wan't a '31 A Coupe with a 255 flathead and 3 Stromberg 97's.

  • Flatheads are AWESOME! One of these days I'm going to build a hotrod like you would have seen one in the 50s or 60s I'm going to use an old flathead.

  • lucky bastard!

By the time I'll be old enough to drive and afford a rod, there'll be no petrol left

  • @bunklefee

    There's ethanol... don't worry.

  • how does a v8 have 3 head pipes on each side?

  • its just how they built fahead v8s

  • sweet haha

  • only thre exhaust ports on each side

  • i meant three sorry

  • Yeps. Two cylinders exhale thru the carburetors... NOT! It's a Flathead man! Siamese ports for the two cylinders in the middle.

  • @assgod1 yeah the central two exit through a single outlet, you can still tell its a v8 not a v6 cause there are 4 spark plugs on each side :)

  • Congrats Ollin ! That is one nice & traditional hot rod !

The only thing i would do different is lose the zoomies and put a set of lakes headers on it.
