This was shot on the Chaplin Stage at A&M Records. Paul McKenna engineered and I assisted. It was crazy exciting and demanding with other bands waiting to perform that same night. Lone Justice was awesome that night. Thanks for posting.
@gluglumuck I do remember the guys having to talk Maria out of using a DX77 mic (looks like a huge brillo pad on a stick--old-timey radio look) which would have been a technical nightmare because of bleed for a Beyer mic.
oh damn... I'm floored by this lol :) Lone Justice is NOT underrated by me, no way!!! As for Maria McKee, I love her *YOU BIATCH! YOU WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE FATHER OF MY CHILDREN AND MY WIFEY THING!!!* sorry, just had a fit.... I love it, thanx for posting :)
With the exception of Elvis's Sun Sessions and early recordings by Johnny Cash, I don't think I ever heard (let alone saw) more Pure and Straight Rock and Roll. Fabulous Stuff. Thanks for putting this on YouTube. I could cry.
This is a pleasant surprise!!! Lone Justice a very underrated band that deserved more in the 80's. Maria McKee is still fab!!!Thanks for this rare beauty!!!
Ya she may dress like Granny, but man what a set of pipes on this babe. Oh ya, she can also write, just check out her solo material.

responding to bananaramak's comment - this song was on the B side of LJ's first single, Ways to Be Wicked

This song WAS released as a single and I've still got it to prove it. Have you heard The Long Riders or Green On Red from about the same time

@onedru1one
I've heard of both bands, I only know a few songs by each though. There was a great altcountry scene back then.

Everything of Maria is worthwhile to listen to and watch!

White Soul Music, baby...This was a hit record if anybody ever got a chance to hear it...Maybe Jimmy Iovine or Little Steven didn't like it.

I could never understand why she never released this as a single, or at least put it on an album. Always loved this song.

Thanks for posting this! Lone Justice was a few years ahead of their time, before country crossed over more to pop/rock. Bad luck.
Any chance of getting a better synched version posted? Thanks!
