This was a very touching scene because it showed how much love hurts and how much it can strengthen you even at your lowest moment. Lois sucked. Lana and Clark should have been forever on this show.

Just love Clana, and after watching ep14 Season 8, I'll never watch Smallville, A heartbroken Lana reluctantly says goodbye to Clark.. Love, she would always in his heart. They confessed their love for each other one last time, before Lana turned around and left the barn—and Clark—forever.=====> WTH???? They have been in love for 8 season.....?!

it is actually kinda obvious that she's not the one for Clark. She failed to be there when he needs her, she betrayed him several times. Whenever she felt pushed away she seeks other men for comforts and totally forgot about what they've been through. you can say that I don't know anything about love but tbh do you want to spend your life with a woman like that.

Lana becomes an annoying character starts from season 2. I'm glad that she's out of the series.

The only way they could put an end to this relationship and have it make sense to the fans and writers was to have her be physically what she was always was. Not good for Clark.

@CIarKent ...Actually, Kara will be the one to save him. Clark WILL die briefly and see his dad Johnathan Kent. But, Kara will be the one to somehow save him. Seeing as how both John Schneider and Laura Vandervoort are coming back for some episodes in Season 10. It fits completely that way.

as for Lana I wish the writers didn't give her superpowers because it was stupid in season 9 when the Kandorians started taking over Earth and Lana could have easily stopped them but didn't.

I wish they would somehow explain that in season 10. maybe by saying the kryptonite poisoning cancelled out and removed her super powers. she isnt supposed to have any powers in the mythos anyway so they have to make her normal again

managed physically symbolize the pain of them being together. It's one

thing for a scene to be emotionally strong but once they used the

element of physical pain as a representation this became phenomenal. Especially since their relationship was built up for so long.

i think smallville fans will always put the lana/clark relationship first because the writers spent seven years building up this relationship and fans cant just go from loving this couple to embracing lois and clark. they should've just ended the show in the eigth season because now its superman not clark kent in high school. but i love this ending, despite how sad it is. everytime i see it i want to cry because i grew up watching this show.

Lana had something done for her that was intended for Lex, and she can absorb kryptonite. Lex made a bomb and the only way they could stop it was if she absorbed a ton of krytonite, which would make it impossible for Clark to get near Lana without getting sick. She left because she couldnt handle being around Clark and not being able to be close to him, as she mentioned in this video.

What's funny is the music really DOES go with this scene. This scene is VERY similar to how Wolverine approached Jean Gray (Phoenix) at the end of X3 when she is destroying everything including Wolverine, but he still approaches her. Nice video.
