I bought cheap and got bored and worked my way up and now i own a djm600 . 2 cdj400 and pioneer efx 500 ..

If i was to do it again i wouldnt bother buying the crap i bought first and save and buy good decks sooner . You can always get good deals if you buy the equipment second hand :)

:) its all math...bpm and percentages, anyone with an understanding of fractions could work out how much percentage to change to match the current track...and never mix to bpm, mix to the sound, style and key...

@DJNabled mixing to bpm is also very important, you dont want to mix two at very different bpm's it could mess up your reputation, and i seen alot of ppl dj without caring about the bpm and their mixes sound very bad, so all of those things are important

i really dont know if he did this mix but ive been djing for a while and my main gener is trance, i know well tht some times trance tracks can have the same bpm and there is no need to do beat match or work hard on it, besides his first tracks have a similar beat, also if you put attention at min 8:45 he didnt made a good beat match and he is trying to fix it anyways he couldnt do it perfect and after he tried to fix it the beats were still a little off, keep it up man is all about practice

i make alot of minor tweeks to ensure a smooth sounding blended mix, and the top knob is the gain control, which i also tweek because volumes change during tracks, the knob on my right (your left) is the cue/pgm knob (pgm the track playing though the speakers), and i use that alot to make sure the tracks are in sync.

kinda tired of people assuming regular people can do what the superstars can do >.> there regular people with lots of practise, nothing more.

Really cool mix, trance sounds best with longer transitions (the occasional drop in Eddie Halliwell's case) EQ control was pretty flawless I thought. Sounded kind of Dave Pearce-y. I prefer this to mixes where people throw in as many tunes as they can. Nice work!
