ye swhat if the people dont have any kind of insurance (die) or who can help them or give them some kond of assistence ????? because is not fair that they suffer something like this
Does this thing sense when you are underbreathing and increase the air flow automatically? My sleep apnea gets worse when I'm exposed to even one whiff of tobacco smoke and is worse out in the real world than it is in the hospital clean sleep clinic. It also gets worse after six or so hours of sleep so I have never been able to get enough relief from a CPAP machine. The doctors don't even believe how bad I am doing out in the real world.
Tobacco smoke and dust may trigger an small asthma attack which would make it harder for you to breathe at night but does that have anything to do with sleep apnea?
Anything that stops up sinuses & narrows air passages is going to make sleep apnea worse & asthma. My sinuses used to run & run. In high school a doctor cauterized my sinuses to stop this. So now they don't run, they swell. I also have nonwheezing type asthma but the sleep apnea itself definitely gets worse from second hand smoke. Dropped out of school 3 times because of second hand smoke. Have migraines when sleep deprived. Have autism too which made getting diagnosed hard. Docs only saw that.

@jamesfchen You need to go to any pulmonologist for this. Mine is in Arizona though you would need to come to arizona. A pulmonologist can recommend what is good for your friend.
This is a fake number that was debunked over a year ago. The study asked people in 1992 if they had health care insurance, if they died at any point in the subsequent 15 years the cause was said to be the absence of health care coverage. No attempt was made to verify at the time of the initial response or at time of death whether the person actually had insurance or for what period of time during the study period. Totally bogus scare tactic by the Dems.
@InAweOC I paid for my medical out-of-pocket for almost 5 yrs. My doctor only ever refilled my BP meds. because she knew I was not covered. She never even suggested sleep a sleep study. As soon as I got laid off I went on government run coverage and was referred on my first visit to my new doctor. I spent 2 nights in a lab and was diagnosed with acute apnea and am now on my way to a full recovery from YEARS of BP. Don't knock public Healthcare.
if anyone's new to CPAP & needs machine comparisons, check out The CPAP Shop's website for their ebook!

my doctor prescribed a concentrator device that connects to the cpap machine to deliver clean oxygen that might help you a lot.
