It requires a minimum 475 watt power supply with atleast 26 amps on the positive 12v rail but id recommend atleast a 1000 watt or better if your gunna run this card in sli

No it doesn't. I run it on a 400w crosair and I overclocked it a bit and I also overclocked my cpu by 500mhz. I've seen people run gtx260 on a 400w PSU (brand name of course).

To all of you out there this is a 250 gts oc i have this same card its very good card i seen jedi's comment about his only needing a 1 6 pin connector thats true for some 250 gts's some cards require 2 though! Also some cards are a little longer to then others.

Um the GTS 250 only uses 1 6 pin connector. This does look like he's showing a 9800 gt since that cooler is not on bfg gts 250 cards. Could just be cuz its a older video but my BFG GTS 250 has only 1 6 pin power and is shorter then this card.

im currently running 2x 8800ultras in sli xfx models, now i also have a brandnew xfx 250gts 1gb core edition bought for me. its seems like theres really not much between the cards, the 250gts is faster, ie the clocks etc but my ultras have better memory bandwidth, the 8800ultra 384bit the gts 250 has 256bit. i am waiting for the 300series nvidias, just wondering if its worth getting another 250gts for sli in the mean while altho im running 8800ultras in sli now,

cod4 easily! with crysis it depends what resolution i would say if you have a 1680x1050 monitor you'll probably be able to get high settings with a playable framerate

I would say that it most likely won't fit. The GeForce 200 series cards are on the long side, and you'll probably have to leave the case open if it even fits in without interfering with the rest of the components. Your 9400GT is most likely a low-profile model anyway, and this card is not.

GTS250 = 9800GTX+ with lower power consumption.

9800GTX+ = 9800GTX with factory oc that you can do yourself.

So, 9800GT with big oc can do the same that GTS250, but will consume more power and heat more. And you where 9800gt come from, 8800gt. I don't care about PhysX, 3Dvision or other stuff like that, nobody use them.

By the way, GTS250 need 2x6 pins supply, and this cooler is quite noisy. And these reviews all look same!

Well you could... but i wouldn't call it much of an upgrade that's worthwhile and even though it's quite cheap ($120-$150) I'd recommend you save to get a real gamer's card like GTX 260 or Radeon 4870.

2 x 6pins PCIe connectors? the eVGA GTS 250 only need 1 x 6pins! And why a HDMI connector on the back? just use a cheap DVI to HDMI converter. I don't know why the guys at BFG thought to put back the old Analog connector...if you want to use that just take a DVI to VGA converter and that's it. I don't recommend this card really, check other brands for this card.

The specs are not as important as the fact that this card will receive updated drivers that will bring the performance beyond that of which the 9800 GTX+ is capable of.

It's the same with workstation vs video gaming graphics cards.

If it's in the drivers they're automatically scrapping the 9800GTX+ performance on purpose, since architectually it's no different. I just got 2x XFX GTS 250 SLi yesterday and they run fine, but they aren't faster than the 9800GTX+'s I have pr. stock settings. I'm using the Forceware185.85. drivers.

Memory interface: 260 is 448bit , 250 256

Processor cores: 260 has 216 ; 250 128

Memory bandwidth:260 has 111GB/s; 250 70.4GB/s

GTS260 is imensly powerful than GTS250. and if have been following nVidia you would know that a GTS card always a milder version of a GT or GTX card. Peace Out.

The texture fill rate Is all it Matters and on this card is very high

Gts 250 Texture fill rate per second 47.2 Billion = (More than 3-7fps on crysis on every setting)

ATI cards will have Physx soon enough, they already have Havok through the CPU.

keep in mind you need an 8000 series gpu or higher from Nvidia for it to even have Physx.

And no you couldn't because you'd need another nvidia gpu in there, ATI's driver prob wouldn't allow it to work with a physx card.
