The jump causes the screen to change color. Thats how you know that there was a jump in the cutting mode.

@1:21 you can see the jump cut in the video. You stopped in the middle of sawing so we don't get to see the uninterrupted real-time sawing which helps with getting an idea of how long it actually took.

I think the Back and Decker Alligator 18V Lopper would have worked even better.
