I understand the significance of his work, but in this day and age, is this just reverse racism. Do Scott-Heron's words speak of equality or the gaining of vengeance for the mistakes of the past? In a brief summation of his work it seems to me he speaks of a revolution of overthrowing current ways, like the reverse of american slavery.

@radmano77 I wouldn't call it reverse racism, because Mr. Heron is not calling for vengeance. He is calling for an end to the facade of reconciliation between the races being 'integration'. To him it's just a euphemism for 'stop being people of color. Be more white. Stopping being exotic and unique. Be like the rest of us white folk, and we'll not hate you.' He would not have his people integrate. He would have them separate until words like integration mature to mean two coexisting spheres.
