  • That melody.. He's a pure musical genius.

  • The Bells (Russian: Колокола, Kolokola), Op. 35, is a choral symphony by Sergei Rachmaninoff, written in 1913. The words are from the poem The Bells by Edgar Allan Poe, very freely translated into Russian by the symbolist poet Konstantin Balmont.

  • Yes MJ! You can actually HEAR them! Maybe the first chair player brought a few of his best students along so the line wouldn't get drowned out by the chorus as it usually does? Plus the conductor hitting the break a little bit a few bars before helps tremendously

  • It is just amazing, fantastic performance as well. I do need to listen to the whole of The Bells, I will do so soon, I've got his

    1st and 3rd symphony's to listen to first! From what I've heard, this piece is amazing!
