Seeing the video again, that was *sooooo* savable: the fishtail the *driver* caused is what ultimately caused the rollover, making it even more tragic for the car.
BTW, I own a '63 SI E-Type FHC so I know how well they handle, and how forgiving they are...*if* the driver is up to it!
A few months back, uskiwis doubted my word, and I never responded.
i have no videos of my driving, cuz..well, I was *driving*!
FWIW, my bona fides are; SCCA Nat'ly licenced driver, GT-% class, Datsun 1200, '85'-90, 5 consecutive Regional Solo II EP championships, and 30+ years of driving a NAIL, if it was put in front of me! No slight was intended to the driver of the jag and I hope he learned the lesson to be had. I stand behind my assessment of the unfortunate crash.
This was a terribly unfortunate accident and I'm sorry for both driver (I hope he/she was ok) and car. However I have to agree with Vrooomie: the line into the corner was poor and the exit and over correction/ oversteer looked like inexperience. In any case I hope not too much damage was done and the car will live to fight another day.
no staff to come around and help the driver? how did this race get a license or insurance?

We all make mistakes, some more painful than others...
I`m a Jaguar lover, but its only an inanimate object at the end of the day, no one was hurt which is the main thing!

All the comments are from expert drivers, typing from their chairs. At least he was out there doing it for real.

Learner drivers should not enter into events like that. What a terrible exit from the corner and really bad over correction

That was a %100 caused by a bad driver: Terrible line, worse exit. Such a waste for the want of a decent driver!
THAT was completely avoidable.

I'd love to see your driving videos. You are clearly a master & I'm sure I can learn from you.
