as much as i like some of portishead's stuff, this beat annoys the shit out of me. the whole song is like a really shitty version of the terminator 2 theme. the lyrics might be great, but the beat sort of ruins it in my opinion.

@mshaftenberg I do take quite a lot of trouble in transcribing these videos from the masters although I mucked up these Portishead uploads due to finger trouble in the video editing software I used (the aspect ratio is not right). It's possible that other uploads are sourced via BBC iPlayer footage which can be different to what aired. No, I didn't remix sound or video - what you see here is what got broadcast.
