She played Makino Tsukushi well it's as if she doesn't have a trouble of adapting the character/role to her. There is a reason why she won awards for this Drama. Inoue Mao all day everyday!

Barbie Xu will always be the the no. 1 and you gotta give props her for that she did played the character good as well.

Well,if I base on the original Manga for me Barbie acted the best for Tsukushi(weed girl) but I like the look of Mao that she will have 2 braided hair and plain but cute. goo hye sun is way too cute and a little not smart and kinda not the weed girl in my favorite Manga.Just go to read manga and you will see Hana yori dungo girl which made me fall for her character.but anyway like the look of F4 of Korean.Lee min Ho made a good one for little brat and spoiled Doumyoji.

Now that I've watched the first season of HYD, I kinda like Mao Inoue's portrayal. Although she could make the character look cute, the character's strength is not compromised but so far, I Shan Cai's still the toughest of the weeds. I'm looking forward to seeing Makino in the second season hoping that the show will finally feed her to the lions, if she proves to be tougher than Shan Cai then I would love to give her my vote.

barbie xu la meilleure! Elle joue mieux le role d'une fille qui se laisse pas faire et qui se bat pour ce qu'elle veut. goo hye sun is in reality a beauty but i don't like her hair in the boy's over flower...so i'd go for a tie with Makino tsukushi (Inoue MAo) and Shancai (Barbie Xu)..Tie because i like the story line of the jap version and the hair of shancia plus taiwaneseF4...But as regard to characters, in all versions, i fell in love to the character of Hanaza Rui, Huaze Lei and Yoon Ji Hoo except the Hanazawa Rui of the anime version coz he really did not fall for Makino he has other love interest...hehehe

the difference between barbie's and hye sun portrayal is their way of showing of fierce toward the male lead..hye sun most of the time scream at gu jun pyo,while barbie doesn't shout much but she give chills to dao ming si by giving him looks that could kill...san chai is much sweeter to dao ming si on good times,while geum jan di well,she scream less on gu jun pyo,on good time together,she had more sweet moments with ji hoo,than jun pyo...while the japanese version..no comment..never saw it!

Viewers are even torn between Shan Cai - Hua Ze Lei and Shan Cai - Dao Ming Si team up. With the Korean version though, there's not much chemistry between Jan Di and Ji Hoo... never saw Japanese version either...

they were all great in terms of playing the role of makino. all three ladies gave their best and it was fun watching all 3 different types of acting from 3 lovely girls. but if i were to choose which of the 3 played it perfectly, i would have to pick Inoue Mao. she caught my attention from the moment i saw the 1st episode of hyd. with hyesun and barbie, it took me quite some time to acknowledge their acting and how they portrayed makino. inoue did it flawlessly. no doubt about it.

hmm the original story was based on the Manga entitled Hana Yori Dango but Taiwan was the first made this live then Japan was next and the last was S.Korea but I only watched Meteor Garden when I was in elementary and Hana Yori Dango when I was in high school but I never watch the Boys Over Flower yet which released here in my college time hehe :] coool but I LIKE THE MOST IS THE JAP. Take off the make up from Barbie Xu, and well she honestly looks like an alien to me. I watched the korean and japanese versions, and the Korean version has loveable characters whereas the japanese version has a great plot. I didn't even bother looking at the taiwanese ver since it looked more like a child flirting with 4 old men.
